CONNECTING WITH ADROIT HOME
1. Connect Adroit unit to the mains.
2. Connect one end of the network cable (RJ-45) to computer
and the other end to network connector on the Adroit unit.
3. Select on your computer: Start ► Computer ► Network
4. Double click on the Airow icon. Under Other Devices,
double click the device with a name starting “airow” e.g.
“airowB057A632Af42” (this is the MAC address).
5. Now you are connected to the Adroit Home service, you are
able to control the Adroit unit.
REGISTERING TO THE ADROIT CLOUD
1. ConnectwithAdroitHome(instructionabove).
2. SelectSettings.
3. PressconnectbuttoninAdroitCloudServicesection.
4. RegistrationPageisnowopened.
5. Enterthefollowinginformation

Ventilationhastobeconstantfortheindoorairtostayhealthy
forthebuilding’soccupants.Evenforlongerholidays,itisnot
advisabletostoptheventilation,becausetheindoorairwillbecome
stuffyandduringtheheatingseason,theindoorairhumiditymay
condenseintheventilationductworkandstructures,causing
moisturedamage.
Youcancontrolandautomatetheventilationunitoperationinthe
following ways:
• ByusingaDigitalControllerinstalledinthebuilding
• ThroughtheAdroitHomelocalnetworkconnectionandthe
Webinterface
• ThroughtheAdroitCloudServiceandtheWebinterface
• Througharemotemonitoringserviceorbuildingautomation
system(BMS)byusingvoltagesignalsorModbusmessages
Therequiredventilationmayalsobeadjustedautomaticallywith
theoptionalroommountedbetweencarbondioxideandhumidity
sensors.Inthiscase,ventilationremainsoptimalevenifthe
dwellingisunoccupied.
Byusingtheweekclock,youcancreatejusttherightventilationfor
yourindividuallifestyle.
WARNING
Theunitisnotintendedforusebychildren(under8years)orby
personswithreducedsensory,physical,ormentalcapabilities,or
lackofknowledgeandexperiencethatlimitthesafeoperationof
theunit.
These people can use the product under the supervision of a
personresponsiblefortheirsafetyorasdirected.
TIP
TheAdroitDigitalControllerautomaticallyswitchestosleepmode
whenthepre-setsleeptimehaselapsed.Youcanwakeupthe
AdroitDigitalControllerbypressinganycontrolbutton.

Each ventilation unit has two control settings
available,basicandexpert.Thebasicsettingsare:
• Userinterfacelanguage.
• Timeanddate.
The expert settings are:
• Systemadministratorpassword.Theinstaller
has given you the system administrator
password.
• Possibleparentalcontrols.
• Fansettings.
• Userprolesettings,suchasthetemperature.
Settingscanbechangedatalaterdateifrequired.
STARTING THE UNIT
Ifyouarestartingtheventilationunitforthersttime
orafteranymaintenanceprocedure,whentheunit
startsup,thediagnosticdisplaywillappearfora
fewsecondsuntiltheAthomeprolemainscreenis
opened.
Iftheunitisswitchedofffromthecontroller,youcan
restarttheventilationunitbypressinganybuttonon
thecontroller.
We recommend that the latest version always to
beused.Checkanddownloadthelatestversionat
https://www.airowadroitcontrol.com/eitherbeforeor
immediatelyaftersetup.
The current software version of the ventilation unit
is shown on the controller display when the unit
is connected to the mains or factory settings are
restored.Alternatively,thecurrentsoftwareversion
canbecheckedfromtheUnitinformationdisplayof
theServicemenu.
UPDATING THE UNIT SOFTWARE
Disconnecttheventilationunitfromthemains
electricalsupply.orturnoffthefuse.
Connectthecomputertothedigitalcontrollerofthe
ventilationunitusingaUSBMicroBconnector.
Starttheventilationunit.AUSBsignwillappearon
thedisplayofthecontroller.Thecontrollercannotbe
usedwhenitisconnectedtothecomputer.
NOTE
Therstlaunchoftheunitmaytakeawhile,
as the controller will format its software and
verifythatithasthelatestsoftwareversion.
NOTE
However,itisrecommendedthatthe
ventilationbekeptturnedON without
disruptions.
Transfertheupdateleyouhavedownloadedonto
theventilationunit.CopytheupdateleHSWUPD.
BIN
(Pleasenote!Donotalterthelename!)you
havedownloadedattherootofthecontroller(the
controllerwillbedisplayedonyourcomputerasa
massmemoryoraremovablediskdrive).Whenthe
lehasuploadedontothecontroller,removethe
USBcable.Next,thecontrollerwilltakeawhileto
loadtheupdate.Thecontrollerwillnowstarttoload
theupdateleontothemotherboard.Thiscantake
severalhours.Thecontrollerwillremainturnedon,
butitisrecommendedthatthecontrollerwillnotbe
usedduringthattime.Whentheupdateisready,the
unitwillrestartautomatically.
TURNING THE UNIT OFF
Ifyouwanttoturnofftheventilationunit,proceedas
follows:
1. Select Settings > Turn unit off.
2. PresstheOKbutton.
3. Thesystemasksforconrmation.
4. PresstheOKbutton.
5. TheventilationunithasnowbeenturnedOff.

WALL MOUNTING
Notethefollowingbeforemounting:
• DV145Shouldnotbepositionedinanareathatfallsbelow
+10°C.
• Avoidmountingtheunitonahollow,echoingpartitionwallor
onabedroomwall.Takingsoundtransmissionprecautionsis
recommended.
• Theminimumdistancebetweenthetopoftheunitandthe
nishedceilingsurfaceis30mm.Notethatduringmountingthe
unitrises10mmhigherthanthenalheight.
• It is recommended that the unit is not positioned in sound
sensitive areas unless some acoustic deadening measures are
taken.
MounttheDV145onthewallwithamountingbracket,asshownin
theadjacentgure.Makesurethattheunitishorizontallylevelafter
mounting.
MEASURING TUBES
Theaccessorybagwiththeunitincludesfourairowmeasuring
tubes.Thesecanbeinsertedintheductstoallowforeasier
ventilationadjustment.

CONDENSING WATER
Intheheatingseason,theextractairhumidity
condensesintowater.Waterformationmaybe
abundantinnewbuildings,oriftheventilationislow,
comparedtothehumidityproductionofresidents.
Condensedwatermustbeabletogetoutofthe
unitwithoutobstruction.Checkinconjunctionwith
maintenance,forexample,duringtheautumnbefore
theheatingseasonbegins,thatthecondensate
collectiontraypositionedinsidetheunitatitsbase
isnotcloggedandthatthereisnoleakage.Youcan
checkitbypouringalittlewaterintothecondensate
collectiontraypositionedinsidetheunitatitsbase.
Clean,ifnecessary.Watermustnotbeallowedto
entertheelectricalsystem.

WATER OUTLET
1. Pushthemainbodyofthecondensingwater
outletdownwardfromabove,throughtheholein
thebottomplateoftheventilationunit.
2. Pushthetensionpindownwardfrombelow
towardsthemainbody.
3. Placethevalveballinsidethehousingofthe
condensingwateroutlet.
4. Attach the housing to the condensing water
outlet.

BEFORE BEGINNING MAINTENANCE WORK
Whenyouopenthedevicedoor,thesafetyswitch(S)cutsthepower.Despitethis,theunitshouldbeisolated
fromthepowersupply.Alwaysisolatetheunitfromthepowersupplybeforestartingtheventilationunit
maintenance.
Therearetwounitmodels,left-(L)andright-handed(R).Thegureshowstheright-handedmodel.

Whenthemaintenancereminderalerts,checkthe
cleanlinessoftheltersandreplacethemifrequired.
TheAdroitunithasthreeairlters:
• 2xISOCoarse>75%(G4)-compliestoISO16890,coarse
lterltersinsects,heavypollenandotherrelativelylarge
foreignobjectsoutoftheoutdoorair(A).
• 1xISOePM150%(F7)lters-compliestoISO16890ne
lterltersmicroscopicpollenanddustparticlesoutofthe
supplyair(B).
• Thecoarselterlterstheextractairandkeepstheheat
recoverycellclean(C).
Thelterchangeintervaldependsontheambientconcentrationsof
dustandparticulates.Itisrecommendedthattheltersbechanged
everyspringandautumn,orattheveryleastonceayear.
TIP
UsingoriginalAirowltersensuresthattheventilationunitremains
intopcondition,givingthebestresults.Thelterreplacement
intervaldependsontheambientdustconcentration.
Itisrecommendedthattheltersbereplacedeveryspringand
autumn,orattheveryleastonceayear.Failuretofollowthese
recommendationsmayvoidanywarranties.

1. Isolatethepowertotheventilationunit.
2. Opentheventilationunitdoorbyliftingthelatch.
3. Liftthedooroff.
4. Removetheoldlters(A,B,C)anddiscardthem.
5. Installthenewlters(A,B,C)inplace.
6. Closetheventilationunitdoor.Makesurethatthedoorsafety
switchpenetratesthedoorswitchandallowstheunittobe
switchedon.
7. Reinstatethepowertotheunit.
8. Theltershavenowbeenchanged.
HEAT RECOVERY CELL
Checkthattheheatrecoverycellsarecleaneverytwoyearsor
whenevertheltersarebeingchanged.
Tochecktheheatrecoverycell,proceedasfollows:
1. Isolatethepowertotheventilationunit.
2. Opentheventilationunitdoorbyliftingthelatchup.
3. Liftthedooroff.
4. Removethelters(A,B,C).
5. Removethesealingstrip(E)abovethecell,inthedirectionof
thearrow.
6. Liftandpulltheheatrecoverycell(D)outoftheunit.
7. Iftheheatrecoverycellisdirty,cleanitbyimmersingitin
warmwaterwithamilddetergent.
8. Rinsetheheatrecoverycellcleanwithawaterspray.Donot
useapressurewasher.
9. Whenthewaterhasdrainedfrombetweenthelaminae,
reassembletheventilationunitinthereverseorder.
10. Closethedoor.Makesurethatthedoorsafetyswitch
penetratesthedoorswitchandallowstheunittobeswitched
on.
11. Theheatrecoverycellhasnowbeencheckedandcleaned.
WARNING
Handle the heat recovery cell
carefully!Donothandletheheat
recoverycellbyitsthinmembrane
airowdividersastheycanbe
easily damaged

FANS
Checkthecleanlinessofthefanswhencarryingouttheltersand
heatrecoverycellmaintenance.Cleanthefans,ifnecessary.
Youcancleanthefanbladeswithcompressedairorbybrushing
themgently.Donotremoveormovethefanbladebalancing
pieces.
WARNING
Thefanscanbeeasilydamagedandshouldbehandledcarefully.
We recommend that you clean the fans in place where they are
mounted.
CLEANING THE SUPPLY AIR FAN
Whenyouwanttocleanthesupplyairfan,proceedasfollows:
1. Isolatethepowertotheventilationunit.
2. Opentheventilationunitdoorbyliftingthelatchup.
3. Liftthedooroff.
4. AsdescribedintheFiltersandHeatRecoveryCellsection
removetheextractairlter(C),thecelltopbracket(E)andthe
heatrecoverycell(D).
5. Pulloutthetemperaturesensor(gure1)locatedatthetopof
theextractairduct(G).Removethestopperscrew(I)atthe
bottomoftheduct.Theextractairductisnowlooseandcan
depusheddown.Thisisdonebypushingdownandtwistingat
thesametime.(gure2).

6. Removethetemperaturesensorfromthepost-heatersupport
(gure4).
7. Ifinstalled,removethepost-heatersupport,whichisattached
bytwoscrews(gure5).
8. Pullthepost-heaterandthesupportoutoftheunit(gures6
and7)andusetheelectricalconnectortodisconnectoffthe
radiatorwires.(gure4).
WARNING
Makesurethattheheaterisnothotbeforeyoupullitoutofthe
unit.
9. Thefancannowbecleanedinplace.Werecommendthatyou
cleanthefansinplace.
10. Ifyouwanttoremovethefanforcleaning,proceedasfollows
a. Ifnecessary,removethearmpins.Useplierstopressthe
pinsstraight,sothattheyareeasiertoinstallbacklater.
b. Pushthefangentlyupwards(gure9).
c. Prytheplasticlocktotherightofthefanwith,forexample,
ascrewdriver(gure10).
d. Thefanfallsdown.
e. Pullthefanoutoftheunit(gure11).
f. Disconnectthefanwirequickconnector(gure12).The
fanhasnowbeenremovedforcleaning.
11. Reassembletheventilationunitinthereverseorder.
TIP
Whenyoure-installthetemperaturesensor,installitwiththetip
upwardinsuchawaythatitdoesnotgetsqueezedbetweenthe
bypassplate,andthatitdoesnotleanagainstthepost-heater
frame.
12. Closethedoorandreconnecttheunitbackintothemains.

Whenyouwanttocleantheextractairfan,proceedasfollows:
1. Isolatethepowertotheventilationunit.
2. Opentheventilationunitdoorbyliftingthelatch.
3. Liftthedooroff.Pleasenotethatthedoorisheavy.
4. Removethelters,thecelltopsupportandtheheatrecoverycell,as
describedinsectionsFiltersandHeatRecoveryCell.
5. Openthefourscrews(PZ2)(gure1)ontheextractairfancoverand
removethecover(gure2).
6. Thefancannowbecleanedinplace.
7. Ifyouwanttoremovethefanforcleaning,proceedasfollows.
a. Pushthefangentlyupward(gure3).
b. Prytheplasticlocktotherightofthefanwithasuitablysized
screwdriver.(gure4).
c. Thefanisnowreleasedandwilldropdown.(gure5)
d. Pullthefanoutoftheunit.
e. Disconnectthefanwirequickconnector(gure6).
8. Carefullycleanthefanwithasoftbrush.
9. Reassembletheventilationunitinthereverseorder.

Condensedwatermustbeabletogetoutoftheunitwithout
obstruction.Thecondensationdrainandpipeshouldbechecked
andcleanedifnecessary,inconjunctionwithmaintenance,for
example,duringtheautumnbeforetheheatingseasonbegins.
Checkthewatercondensatecollectiontray,positionedinside
theunitatitsbasetoensureitisnotcloggedandthatthere
isnoleakage.Youcancheckthisbypouringalittlewaterinto
thecondensatecollectiontray.Clean,ifnecessary.Checkthe
condensingwateroutletconnectionissecure.
