Before initial operation:
Read the operating instructions, especially the safety instructions, and first remove the filters from the protective foil
!
Equipment and quality features:
Pre-filter: The cleanable pre-filter removes all larger particles and thus ensures a longer service life of the ULPA
filter.
HEPA / ULPA filter: One of the best filters ever, captures and filters particles as small as 0.0001mm. This includes
pollen, germs and dust with a purity rate of 99.99% !!!
Active carbon & catalyst filter combination: Absorbs and cleans many types of smoke and odours (e.g.
cigarette smoke) and breaks down up to 90% of toxic fumes (e.g. formaldehyde, H2S, NH3).
Ultra-violet light (optionally switchable): Eliminates many of the most common types of bacteria and viruses. It
also ensures that the filters themselves can never become a breeding ground for germs ! (Two 6W UV lamps are
installed on each side of the air intake shaft).
Anion exchanger (optionally switchable): Produces more than 5 million anions per second, which proactively
combat smoke and other dirt particles in the room.
Ozone (optionally switchable): Fights odours, bacteria, mould spores, chemicals and many other dirt and pollutants
in the air and also in the INVENTORY (e.g. in wallpaper, carpets, upholstery & textiles) !
Air sensor (optionally switchable): Automatically measures the air quality. If the determined air quality is good, the

4.) Power connection
Insert the plug into the socket and wait until you hear a short acknowledgement tone.
5.) Switching on the air purifier
Press the right ON button . The air filter starts its operation and the display switches on:
6.) Setting the various operating modes (functions)
Press the Settings button in succession for the desired setting:
Furthermore, combinations can be set that allow the individual functions to be operated together !
7.) Activating the automatic air sensor
Press the Auto button on your air purifier. The air sensor switches on and automatically starts measuring the
air quality. There are 4 possible results of the detected air quality (see diagram below):
Please note that the proper air sensor function is only available after approx. 3 minutes !
This function generates more than 5 million anions per second, which proactively combat smoke
and other particles in the room.
This function combats odours, bacteria, mould spores, chemicals and many other dirt and
pollutants in the air. If the ozone function has been selected, the unit automatically switches
ozone operation off again after approx. 60 - 70 minutes (standard).
Eliminates many of the most common types of bacteria and viruses. It also ensures that the
filters themselves can never become a breeding ground for germs ! (Two 6W UV lamps are
installed on each side of the air intake shaft).
Air quality display
Aktobis AG, Borsigstr. 20, D-63110 Rodgau / Germany
www.AKTOBIS.de
Email: Info@Aktobis.de
No bar (PM value 0-30) = Very good air quality > Air circulation goes out
3 bars (PM value 30-75) = Light air pollution > Air circulation jumps to level 1 (weak)
6 bars (PM value 75-150) = medium air quality > Air circulation jumps to level 2 (medium)
9 bars (PM value above 150) = Poor air quality> air circulation jumps to level 3 (strong)
In addition to the air quality display shown above, a PM value is also shown in the display. You can read at the top
which air quality category the respective PM value falls into.
Note: The air sensor is located at the front left of the unit and reacts mainly to odours and slightly to particles in the
air and thus always gives only a tendency of the air quality. Since it is a tendency (similar to a weather station), this
function cannot provide a 100% reliable statement about pollutants in the room air or about the entire area of a
room.
From a humidity of approx. 80% r.l. upwards, the air sensor probe may malfunction. In this case, please disable the
air sensor function (Auto).
Furthermore, stronger operating fluctuations may occur from time to time because the air sensor probe is exposed
to the draught.
Reset of the PM value / air sensor:
After prolonged use of the air sensor, traces of particles will stick to the inductive head of the sensor, which may
cause the numerical PM display to be abnormal. Only perform a reset if such an abnormal display is likely to occur!
If you find that the numerical PM reading deviates greatly from the normal range, we recommend that you record it
in the following steps based on the numerical PM reading of the weather forecast in your city.
1. First blow hard into the "compartment" of the air sensor (front left of the unit). Then open a window for 5
minutes and place the air purifier near the window (the air sensor records the current ambient data again).
2. Then press and hold the Settings icon until you hear a click. Now you are automatically in PM correction mode.
3. Each time you now press the "Settings" key, the PM number of the unit increases by 2ug/m³. Each time you
press the "Auto" key, you decrease the numerical PM value by 2ug/m³.
4. If you have adjusted the numerical PM values in the display to the numerical PM values of the weather forecast
of your city (check on the Internet), please wait 5 seconds and the value will be overwritten and stored.

8.) Setting the fan strength (air circulation)
Press the Speed button in succession for the desired setting. The unit has three fan speeds:
Level 1 = Weak fan strength (air circulation)
Level 2 = Medium fan strength (air circulation)
Level 3 = Strong fan power (air circulation)
9.) Night operation / night mode
Press the speed button permanently for approx. 3-5 seconds. This switches off the touch panel display and
the unit jumps to an extremely low-noise fan strength !
To cancel the night mode again, simply press the button area of the touch panel display again.
10.) Timer (timer)
Press the timing button for approx. 3 seconds until zero (0) starts flashing in the display field. Now you can
select a value between 0 - 12 hours by pressing repeatedly. After you have selected your desired value, wait for
approx. 5 seconds until you hear an acknowledgement tone and the display field shows the current temperature
and humidity value again. Now the remaining time is stored and the air purifier switches off automatically after this
time has elapsed.
The remaining time is displayed alternately with the current temperature and the humidity value. In addition, you
can also display the remaining time by briefly pressing the timing button.
To reset the remaining running time, simply press the timing button continuously for approx. 3 seconds until the
acknowledgement tone sounds. This switches off (zeroes) the remaining running time and the air purifier works in
continuous operation again.
11.) Filter change indicator
The air purifier has a filter change indicator.
The display is always lit by default, after an active runtime (operating time) of 1,440 hours, the left symbol starts
flashing and recommends that you now change the combi-filter (activated carbon and catalyst filter).
After an active runtime (operating time) of 2,880 hours, the right-hand symbol starts flashing and recommends that
you now change the HEPA/ULPA filter.
Note: The filter change indicator is time-controlled and depending on the type of use of the air purifier, it may be
necessary to replace the filters earlier (before the filter change indicator is triggered) !
After you have replaced the filters, press the reset button permanently until you hear a long acknowledgement
tone. Now the flashing filter change indicator is reset and the internal filter runtime count starts again.
12.) Cleaning & Storage
Please always disconnect the mains plug first and allow the air purifier to drain completely before carrying out any
cleaning activities on your unit !
Aktobis AG, Borsigstr. 20, D-63110 Rodgau / Germany
www.AKTOBIS.de
Email: Info@Aktobis.de
12.1 Cleaning:
Use a soft and damp cloth to clean the outside of the unit.
Only use mild cleaning agents to clean your air purifier.
Please make sure that water does not get inside the unit or the electric touch panel display at any time !
12.2 Storage:
We recommend covering the unit for storage or ideally packing it in its original box.
Store the unit in a dry and sufficiently ventilated place/space.
13.) Other
The air purifier has a so-called MEMORY function. This means that the unit retains the last settings made after an
on/off. However, for safety reasons, this is not the case in the event of a power failure or if the mains plug is pulled
out!
The air purifier can be controlled and adjusted via the touch panel display as well as via the supplied remote
control.
A button cell CR2032 (3V) is required to operate the remote control.
Notes on UV light:
1. The UV lamp normally has a service life of approx. 4,000 - 8,000 hours, depending on the on/off interval.
2. The wavelength is 254 nm.
3. The socket is T5 and the UV lamp has a 6 watt lead.
4. Replace the UV light only when the unit is switched off.
Notes for the filters:
1. With an average use of approx. 8 hours daily, the filters last up to one year! In more polluted rooms, e.g.
smokers' households, the filters may have to be replaced after approx. 4 - 6 months (see colour scale on the
side of the HEPA/ULPA filter) !
2. Change the HEPA/ULPA filter when it is dirty.
3. Never wash the fine filters.

Troubleshooting:
The unit itself emits an unpleasant odour:
The operating mode "ozone" and also the UV lamps produce a certain odour. This odour is typical of their function
and generally arises during their operation.
The operating mode "anions" is not smellable for most people. However, sensitive people perceive a certain
"smell". This is because the anions slightly electrostatically charge the air (similar to after a thunderstorm).
after all, a new air cleaner still has a slight odour of its own (fresh plastic, new engine, new paint etc.)... but this new
smell fades within a short period of time (1-2 weeks) !!!
The air sensor causes problems
Please read the instructions under point 7 (activating the automatic air sensor) and in case of 9 x active light bars
(poor air quality) the instructions * listed below. If the explanations given there do not apply and the air sensor
clearly indicates a wrong tendency, please check that the small openings at the front left of the air sensor are not
dirty. If necessary, blow hard into the air sensor; this should solve the problem.
The air sensor remains permanently on 9 x active light bars (poor air quality).
1. Have you ever given the air purifier "free rein" in the automatic air sensor function (Auto) for 12 hours or have
you let it run continuously ? Especially at the beginning and especially with smokers, 12 hours of continuous
operation and more are quite normal, because often particles/odour patterns sit in the entire inventory
(curtains, upholstery, carpet, etc.) and depending on the nature of the material, it can take a considerable time
until this inventory releases the odours again.
2. Please make sure that the air sensor function (Auto) is not used when the air purifier is in a draught (e.g.
between two open windows and/or doors).
3. From a humidity of approx. 80% r.l. upwards, the air sensor probe may malfunction. In this case, please disable
the air sensor function (Auto).
4. In very rare cases, the air sensor may react negatively to certain substances (e.g. furniture polish, perfume,
etc.) in your room. In these cases, we ask you to dispense with this special operating mode (automatic air
sensor function).
It takes too long for smoke and/or odours to be neutralised
In general, our air purifier is very well suited for odour and smoke neutralisation. But please note that the result/end
result of our air purifier always depends on how much odour particles are flowing in and how the air circulation is at
your place !
This is because the inserted odour filter always absorbs/removes only a part of all odour particles in one pass.
Therefore, a general rule is three filter cycles until all odour particles have been absorbed.
(Note: When filtering dust and particles, one filter pass is sufficient to clean the air, as all particles are retained in
the fine filter = 99% effectiveness. For odours, the carbon & catalyst filter is mainly used and here the filter medium
needs approx. three filter cycles per sqm³ of air until one can speak of clean air = 33% effectiveness !!!).
Furthermore, it is important to consider that odour patterns may already be present in the inventory (furniture) - and
depending on the nature of the individual materials, it may take a considerable amount of time until they have
released the odours again.
(Apart from the "ozone" function, our air purifier almost only eliminates odours that are circulated or filtered through
it. )
