BOOM ARM MOWER
Tractors equipped with additional options, special equipment, tractor manufacturer modi-
fications, new tractor models, or Customer alterations may prevent this Mount Kit from
being properly mounted to the tractor. Alamo Group is not responsible for modifications to
the MountKit to accommodate these differences.
NOTE: This manual is designed to be a basic assembly instruction manual and will show some
illustration that are intended to be generic. Some iluustrations may not reflect the type tractor the
mower is being mounted on. It is intended to be used with the Assembly Instrucrion Drawings sent for
the specific tractor type that the mount kit was designed to fit. It is important to keep these assembly
drawing with this manual for future reference.

ABOUT THIS MANUAL:
Theintentofthispublicationstoprovidethecompetenttechnicianwiththeinformationnecessarytoassemblethe
AlamoIndustrialProduct.Thiswill,inturnprovideforcompletecustomersatisfaction.Thismanualisdesignedtobe
usedas a basic component guide.The assembly drawings shippedwiththe unit will beusedas to the assemblyof
componentsthatarespecifictoaparticulartractormodel,theseassemblydrawingsshouldalwaysbekeptwiththe
otherproductmanualsforfuturereference.
ItishopedthattheinformationcontainedinthisandotherManualswillprovideenoughdetailtoeliminatetheneed
forcontactoftheAlamoIndustrialTechnicalServiceDept.However,itshouldbeunderstoodthatmanyinstancesmay
arrivewhereincorrespondencewiththeManufacturerisnecessary.

orforadesignimprovement.BeforeorderingpartsALWAYSMeasureoldparttomakecertainthatistheoneyouwill
need. This manual is designed to be used along with the Parts and Operators Manual.
Most calls received by Alamo Industrial Service can be classified into approx. 6 general categories.

3. MountingorFittingProblem.
4. SpecialServiceProblem.
5. EquipmentApplicationProblems.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:
1. Make certain the call is necessary! Most of the calls received may not be necessary if the Dealer Service
Technicianwoulddothefollowing.
2. ChecktheServiceInformationatyourDealershipprovidedbyAlamoIndustrial,Thiswouldinclude,Service
Bulletins,InformationBulletins, PartsManuals, OperatorsManualsor
ServiceManuals,manyoftheseareavailableviatheAlamoIndustrialInternetsite(Alamo-Industrial.Com).Attempt
todiagnoseorrepairproblembeforecalling.
3. IfacalltoAlamoIndustrialisneeded,CertainInformationshouldbeavailableandreadyfortheAlamoIndustrial
ServiceStaff.Suchinformationas, MachineModel,SerialNumber,YourDealerName,YourAccountNumberand
Anyotherinformationthatwillbeuseful. Thisinformationisvitalforthedevelopmentofapromptandcorrectsolution
totheproblem.Thiswillalsohelptodevelopadatabaseofproblemsandrelatedsolutions,whichwillexpediteasolution
tofuture problemsofa similarnature.
4. Thetechnicianmaybeaskedtoprovidedetailedinformation abouttheproblemincluding theresultsofany
required trouble shooting techniques. If the information is not available, The technician may be asked to get the
information and call back. Most recommendations for repairs will be based on the procedures listed in the Service
Manual/TroubleShootingGuideandtheinformationasreceivedfromthedealer/customers.Theserecommendations
arebasedontheasumptionthatthepropertestingandequipmentinspectionshavebeenperformedtodeterminethe
repairneeded.

Readtheseassemblyinstructionsthroughcompletelyandunderstandthem
beforeproceedingwith theassemblyof theequipement.
A safe and careful operator is the best operator. Safety is of primary importance to the
manufacturer and should be to the owner/operator. Most accidents can be avoided by
beingawareofyourequipment,yoursurroundings,and observingcertainprecautions. The
first section of this manual includes a list of Safety Messages that, if followed, will help
protect the operator and bystanders from injury or death. Read and understand these
Safety Messages before assembling, operating or servicing this Implement. This equip-
ment should only be operated by those persons who have read the Manual, who are re-
sponsibleandtrained, andwhoknowhow todoso safelyandresponsibly.
TheSafetyAlertSymbolcombinedwithaSignalWord,asseenbelow,isusedthroughout
thismanualandondecalswhichareattachedto theequipment. TheSafetyAlertSymbol
means:“ATTENTION!BECOME ALERT!YOURSAFETY ISINVOLVED!” TheSymbol
and Signal Word are intended to warn the owner/operator of impending hazards and the
degreeofpossibleinjuryfacedwhenoperatingthisequipment..
CAUTION! ThelowestlevelofSafetyMessage;warnsofpossibleinjury. Decals
located on the Equipment with this Signal Word are Black and Yellow.
WARNING! Serious injury or possible death! Decals are Black and Orange.
DANGER! Imminentdeath/criticalinjury. DecalsareRedandWhite.(SG-1)

above all---remember safety is up to YOU. Only YOU can prevent
serious injury or death from unsafe practices.
