portable

motorhome.

sure
thatheating,cooking
appliances
andgascylindersare
switchedoffbeforeyoumovethe
motorhome.
Regularly
check
flexiblegashose,
joints
and
connectionsfortightness.
Finally
make
sure
that
each
gas
appliance
is
workingefficientlytothe
recommendations
ofthe
appliance
manufacturers.
The
regulator
Theregulator
is
a governing
device
which
adapts
thebottle
pressure
toonethat
suits
theequipment
in
themotorhome.
Thegas
system

checked
onan
annual
basis.

Regulator

lighting
outlet.

device
(earth
leakage
circuitbreaker)
in
the
mainssupplytothemotorhomehas
been
tested
within
the
last
month.
In
case
of
doubt,consultthe
site
owner
or
his
agent.

connect
theplugattheotherend
ofthesupplyflexible
cable
to
this.

POLARITY

switched

The
unit
shouldimmediatelyswitch
to
the
OFFposition.
If
the
unit
doesnotswitch
offthen
a
qualifiedelectricianshouldbe
consulted.
If
the
unit
doesswitchoff,the
test
is
complete
andtheswitchcanbe
re-set
restoring
thesupply
back
tonormal.
Note:
Having
too
many
appliances
switched
onatthe
same
time
willtripthe
RCD.

Toaccurately
test
theconditionofyour
second
battery,
turn
the

volt
switchon
and
observethecolourofthe
light.
A
green
light
indicatesa satisfactorylevelof
charge
anda red
light
indicatesan
unsatisfactorylevelof
charge.
Thecolour
of
this
light
indicatoris
irrelevant
whilst
any
1
2
volt
appliancesarebeingused.
Thered
light
mayglow
whilst
anyofthe
12
volt
appliancesareinusebut
this
is
notindicativeofthebatterychargelevel.
There
arewaterlevel
monitors
forthe
fresh
andwastewater
tanks
whichgive
an
indicationoftheavailablecapacities
of
each
tank.
Whenwaterispresentinthe
fresh
water
tanktheindicatorneedle
will
light.

full.

Fuses
The
fuses
protectthelighting,cassette
toilet,waterpump,extractorfanandthe
space
heater.Inadditiontothese
fuses,
thereisa 25amp
fuse
fittedadjacentto
thesecondarybatterytoprotectagainst
polarity.
WARNING:
Inthe
event
ofa
fuse
blowing,
checkforthe
fault
in
that
circuit
before
replacing
the
fuse.
Itis
important
to
remember
that
the
fuse
is
fitted
forthe
protection
ofa
circuit
andisa
safeguard
against
fire
and
injury.
Only
a
suitably
qualified
electrician
should
be
allowed
to
work
onthe
electrical
system
and
appliances
in
your
motorhome.
ZIGX-2
CHARGER
TheZigX-2isa
fully
automaticbattery
charger
connected
toa sixcell
lead
acid
battery
with
a nominalvoltageof13.8
volts.
The
unit
will
chargeandrecharge
thebatteryby
raising
theterminalvoltage
toequalthatoftheoutputofthebattery
charger.
Asthebatteryvoltageincreases,
theinputcurrentfromthebatterycharger
automatically
reduces
until
itceasesto

BATTERY
CHARGER
flow,
this
provides
fast
andefficient
batterychargingandeliminatesthe
possibility
ofovercharging,
unless
the
batteryisfaulty.
WARNING:
Ifthe
battery
is
discharged,
the
load
drawn

rated
output

charging
system.

Twotypesarefitted,

single
8 watttubeandthe
other
with
a 13watttube.
Bulbs
fittedto
the2.1watt
spotlights,
attherearofthe
dinette,
areoftheconventionalbayonet
fitting
anduseapproximately1.75amps.
Water
Pump
With
theisolatingswitchON,thewater
pump
iscontrolledbya
built-in
pressure
switch.Thepump
uses
approximately7

proprietarybrand
leisure
battery.
The
battery
must
also
have
a
tubeventingcapability.
Warning:Explosivegasesmaybe
presentatthebattery— preventflames
and
sparks.
Yourmotorhome
has
beenfitted
with
an
in-line
fuse
between
the
batteryterminal
and
strip
connector.
Itis
recommended
thatthe
fuse
ratingfitted
inthis
location
doesnot
exceed
25A.
When
fitting
the
battery,ensurethat
the
correct
polarity
is
observedandthat
terminals
aresecurelyfastened.
Ensure
thebattery
is
secured
with
the
strap
provided.
Undernormalcircumstances
it
should
not
be
necessary
to
removethebatteryother
than
for
routineinspection
of
terminals
(possibly
once
a
year).
