Suspension

Steering
Joints
The
rubber
seals
on
all
suspension
and
steering
joints
shou
ld
be
checked
at
int
er
vals
of
10.
000
miles
to
ensure
that
the
seals
are
intact
and
waterproof.
A
damaged
seal,
if
neglected,
can
lead
to
rapid
wear
of
the
joint.
Whilst
examining
the
condition
of
the
seals
a
check
should
be
made
to
ensu
re
that
the
ingress
of
dirt
or
water
has
not
caused
wear.
particularly
at
the
top
and
bottom
joints
of
the
stub
axle
carrier.
This
can
best
be
done
by
jacking
up
each
front
wheel
in
turn
under
its
spring
pan
,
using
a
box
suitably
placed
under
t
he
diagonally
opposite
rear
corner
of
the
chassis
f
rame
or
r
ea
r
bumper
to
react
against
the
weight
transfer
and
allow
the
front
wheel
to
lift
fr
ee
from
the
floor.
