Chance Rides, Inc. has become aware that some parts not adequate for
their int,ended use were received and possibly used on some WIPEOUT
amusement
rides. These parts are the bail studs- holding t,he gas springs
in place on the lap bars. If a ball stud breaks the 1ap bar can fal1 to
t.he-
closed positioi:, causing possible injury to passeng6rs.

Inst.all the 40 ball studs, 2 per lap bar, Fdrt number 27536300 as shown
in this bu1leLin. To receiv-e cred-it for bal-I sEuds shipped with this

ball
studs within fifteen- (15) days from receipt of bulletin.

Ball Stud Replacement.Procedures:
1. Access 1ap bar locking mechanismby removing count.ertop
2. Removeretainer clip from eachend of gas spring.
3. Remove the gas spring from the baII st.uds.
4. Unscrew one ball stud from the lap bar gear assembly
the lap bar mountassembly.
5. Using the newball studs, reverse the aboveprocedure.
