READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS TOOL
1. KEEP WORK AREA CLEAN. Cluttered areas invite injuries.
2. CONSIDER WORK AREA ENVIRONMENT. Do not use power tools in damp,
wet, or poorly lit locations. Do not expose your tool to rain. Keep the work area
 welllit.Donotusetoolsinthepresenceofammablegasesorliquids.
3. KEEP CHILDREN AND BYSTANDERS AWAY.Allchildrenshouldbekept
away from the work area. Don’t let them handle machines, tools or extension

4. GROUNDED TOOLSmustbepluggedintoanoutletthatitselfisproperly
installed and grounded. Grounding provides a low-resistance path to carry
electricity to ground away from the operator, should the tool malfunction
electrically. Do not remove the grounding prong from the plug nor alter the plug
 inanyway.Ifindoubtastowhethertheoutletisproperlygroundedaccordingto
 code,checkwithaqualiedelectrician.
5. OBSERVE PROPER PRECAUTIONS REGARDING DOUBLE INSULATION.
 Thistoolisdoubleinsulated.Itisequippedwithapolarizedplug.Onebladeis
 widerthantheother,soitwilltintoapolarizedoutletonlyoneway.Ifyouhave
 difcultyinsertingtheplug,tryreversingit.Ifitstilldoesnott,donotalterthe
 plug;haveaqualiedelectricianinstallapolarizedoutlet.
6. DO NOT ABUSE THE CORD.Nevercarryyourtoolbythecordorpullonthe
cord to unplug it. Protect the cord from potential sources of damage: heat, oil &
solvents, sharp edges, or moving parts. Replace damaged cords immediately.
7. WHEN WORKING OUTDOORS, USE AN OUTDOOR-RATED EXTENSION
CORD.Anextensioncordratedforoutdoorusemustbemarked“W-A”or“W”.
8. DO NOT EXPOSE ELECTRICAL POWER TOOLS TO MOISTURE. Rain or
wet conditions can cause water to enter the tool and lead to electric shock.
9. ENSURE THE EXTENSION CORD YOU USE IS OF SUFFICIENT GAUGE
FOR ITS LENGTH.
10. STORE IDLE EQUIPMENT.Storeequipmentinadryareatoinhibitrust.

11. USE THE RIGHT TOOL. Don’t force a small tool or attachment to do the work

moving parts. Protective, non-electrically conductive gloves and non-skid

13. USE EYE PROTECTION. Use a full-face mask if the work you’re doing

1. Do not use this electric lawnmower in the rain or mow grass that is wet.
2. Thiselectriclawnmowerisclassiedasamajorapplianceandthereforeshould
 notbeoperatedonthesamecircuitasothermajorhouseholdappliances.
3. Keep extension cords clear of the path of the lawnmower. Not doing so could
cause damage to the cord as well as the tool.
4. Removethepowercordfromtheoutletbeforedoinganymaintenancesuchas
 cleaningtheblades.
5. Beforemakinganyadjustmentstotheblade,ensurethatthetoolisunplugged
 andthebladehascometoacompletestop.
6. Beforeusingthelawnmower,inspecttheareathatyouaregoingtobemowing
and remove all stones, sticks, wires, or anything else that could interfere with
the operation of the lawnmower.
7. Donotsettheheightformorethanisrequiredforthejobyouaredoing.Ifthe
 rotationofthebladeslows,pullthelawnmowerbackslightlyandwaitforthe
 bladetoreturntofullspeedbeforeproceeding.
8. Onlyuseextensioncordsthataremarked“W-A”or“W”meaningthattheyare
 madeforoutdooruse.Followthetableunder#9intheIMPORTANTSAFETY
 INSTRUCTIONSsectionwhenchoosingagaugeforthelengthofcordyou
need.
9. Donotremoveoraltertheguardsinanyway.Doingsocouldcauseinjurytothe
 operatorand/orbystanders.
10. Duetothehighspeedrotationoftheblade,stones,andotherobjectscanbe
 thrownindirectionsatahighspeed.Forthisreason,pleaseadheretothe
following:
-Always wear safety glasses, gloves, long pants, and proper footwear. NEVER
 operatethistoolbarefootorwhilewearingopensandals.
 -Makesurethatbystanders,children,andpetsareaminimumof5metresaway
during operation. If someone approaches, turn the tool off.
11. NEVERdoanythingtomanuallyslowthespeedofthebladeafterthemachine
 isturnedoff.Letthebladecometorestnaturally.
12. Periodicallycheckthelockingknobs,bladebolt,andscrewstoensuretheyare
tight and the lawnmower is in a safe working condition.
13. Alwaysvisuallyinspecttheblade,bladebolts,andcutterassemblypriorto
use. If any of those pieces are worn or damaged, have them replaced. Always
 replaceboltsinsetstopreservebalance.
14. Use this lawnmower only in daylight.
15. Whenmowingonslopes,ensureproperfooting.Mowacrossthefaceofthe
slope, never up or down. Use caution when changing direction on a slope.
Never mow excessively steep slopes.

16. DISCONNNECT THE PLUG FROM POWER BEFORE MAKING ANY

any tool when you are tired.
18. CHECK FOR DAMAGED PARTS. Before using this tool, any part that is
 damagedshouldbecarefullycheckedtodeterminethatitwilloperateproperly
 andperformitsintendedfunction.Checkforalignmentofmovingparts,binding
 ofmovingparts,breakageofparts,mountings,andotherconditionsthatmay
affect its operation. Inspect screws and tighten any that are loose. Any
 partthatisdamagedshouldbeproperlyrepairedorreplacedbyanauthorized
service center unless otherwise indicated elsewhere in the instruction manual.
 Havedefectiveswitchesreplacedbyanauthorizedservicecenter.Donotuse
the tool if switch does not turn it on and off properly.
19. REPLACEMENT PARTS.Whenservicing,useonlyidenticalreplacementparts.
20. SERVICE AND REPAIRSshouldbemadebyqualiedrepairtechniciansatan
 authorizedrepaircentre.Improperlyrepairedtoolscouldcauseseriousshockor

16. Use caution when reversing or while pulling the lawnmower towards you.
17. Never place hands or feet under the lawnmower deck while the motor is
running.
18. Ensurethatthepowerisdisconnectedwhenthemowerhastobetiltedfor
transportation, when crossing surfaces other than grass, and when moving the
 lawnmowertoandfromtheareatobemowed.
19. Neverusethelawnmowerwithoutrstttingthegrasscollectionbag.
20. Never pick up or attempt to carry the lawnmower when the motor is running.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Handle Assembly
Lower Handle
1. Removethe2screwslocatedinthehandleholesthatarettedtothetopofthe
deck.
2. Insertthelowerhandlepiecessothesquareholesareorientedtowardsthe
outside of the mower.
3. Replace the screws removed in step 1 and tighten so the lower handles are
 xedinplace.
Upper Handle
1. AttachtheupperhandlesothattheOn/Offswitchislocatedontherightsideof
 thelawnmowerwhenviewingfrombehind.
2. Fastenbyttingthesquareboltsfromtheoutsideandtightenwiththethreaded
 knobontheinside.
3. Usethecablegriptoroutethecablefromtheswitchtothemotorneatlyagainst
the handle.
4. Passaloopofthepowercablethroughthecablerestraintandwraparoundthe
 innersquare.Repeatwiththeextensioncordsothatthereisnostrainonthe
connection.
Grass Collection Bag
1. Slidethemetalframeinsidethegrasscollectionbagasshownbelow.(g.1)
2. Clipsarettedtothegrasscollectionbagthattovertheframeasshown
 below.
3. Attachthegrasscollectionbagassemblytothelawnmowersothe2lugsonthe
 framearettedoverthehooksinthedeck.Whenproperlyassembled,thegrass
 dischargeapshouldlayatontopofthecollectionbag.(g.2)

OPERATION
WARNING: Before switching the lawnmower on, ensure that the grass
collection bag as been correctly assembled according to the instructions above.
WARNING: Ensure that the work area is clear of stones, sticks, wires, or
anything else that could interfere with the operation of the lawnmower.
WARNING: While using the lawnmower, keep all bystanders and animals at a
minimum of 5 meters away at all times.
On/Off Switch
1. Plugthemowerintoa120V,60Hz,13Apowersupply.
2. Usingyourlefthand,pressandholdthesafetylock-offbuttonontheswitch
 assembly.
3. Whileholdingthesafetylock-offbutton,squeezetheswitchleverwithyourright
hand. The motor will now start.
4. Continuetoholdtheswitchleverandreleasethesafetylock-offbutton.
WARNING: Always operate the lawnmower with 2 hands. Never attempt 1
handed use.
5. To stop the lawnmower, release the switch lever.
6. Unplug from power supply.
WARNING: The blade will continue for a few seconds after the lever has been
released. Allow the blade to stop moving completely and unplug from power
supply immediately after use.
Using The Lawnmower
Alwaysobservethestrictestsafetyprocedureswhenusingthelawnmower.
Carefullyreadthesafetyinstructionsofthismanualbeforeusing.
Maintainthesharpnessofthebladewhencuttinggrass.Ifthebladehasworn
excessivelyandbecomepittedandblunt,itshouldbereplacedorsharpened.When
thebladeissharpenedthebalanceoftheblademustbemaintained.Blade
sharpeningshouldonlybeundertakenbyqualiedservicepersonnel.The
sharpnessofthebladewilldirectlyaffecttheperformanceofthelawnmower.
Thebestresultswillbeachievedifthegrassisdry.Wetgrasswilltendtoclogthe
bladeandthegrasscollectionsystem.Grassgrowsatdifferentratesatdifferent
timesoftheyear.Neverusethelowestcuttingheightfortherstcutoftheseason
orindroughtconditions.Onlyaboutonethirdofthegrassheightshouldbecut.If
thegrasstobecutisoversixinchestall,usethehighestcuttingheight.Thenmow
atalowersettingforthebestresults.
Ifthelawnmowerwillnotcollectthecuttingsefciently,thegrassdischargechute
maybeblocked,thegrassboxmaybefull,ortheundersideofthemowerdeckmay
beclogged.
Donotattempttoremovegrassfromthegrasschuteareawhilethebladeis
rotating.Beforeclearinganyblockages,oremptyingthegrassbox,makesurethat
themotorisswitchedoffanddisconnectedfromthepowersupply.Thebladewill
continue to rotate for a few seconds after the engine has stopped.

 towardstherearofthelawnmowertoraisetheblade.
3. Whendesiredheightisset,releasethehandletolocktheheightadjusterin
place.
Changing The Blade
WARNING! Disconnect the tool from power before doing this or any other
maintenance.
Removal
1. Lay the lawnmower on its side.
2. Wearingthickgloves,gripthebladewithonehand.
3. Withthespannerprovided,undothebladeboltbyturningitcounter-clockwise.
4. Removetheblade.
Re-Assembly
1. Wearingthickgloves,gripthenewbladewithonehand.
2. Placethebladeoverthebladehousingmakingsurethatthetwoholesonthe
 bladearesecurelylocatedoverthe2lugsonthebladehousing.
3. Usingthespannerprovided,replacebladeboltandtightenbyturningclockwise.
NOTE: The blade included with this tool is considered as a consumable and
therefore is not covered under warranty. To obtain a replacement blade, contact your
retailer or call us at 1-888-267-7713.
WARNING: Before performing any maintenance, disconnect the lawnmower from
power.
- Makesurethatallnuts,boltsandscrewsarekepttightandsecure.
- Always have any damaged or worn parts repaired or replaced.
- Checkthebladeandtheenginemountingboltsatregularintervals.
- Thefrontandrearwheelspindlesshouldbelubricatedperiodicallywithlight
 lubricatingoil.
- Alwayshaveyourlawnmowerinspectedandmaintainedbyaqualiedservice
facility.
- Themotoranditscomponentsshouldberegularlyservicedbyqualied
personnel.
- Ensurethatonlyreplacementbladesoftherighttypeareused.
- Frequentlyinspectthegrasscollectionbagforwear.Replaceifworn.
WARNING! Garden chemicals and fertilizers contain agents that accelerate
corrosion in metals. If you are using this tool near where any of those chemicals
or fertilizers have been used, immediately clean the tool after use. All exposed parts
of the tool should be wiped down with a damp (not wet) cloth. When cleaning, never
immerse in water or spray down with a hose. Lubrication is allowed only on metal
parts and only with a light petroleum based oil.
MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
- Toensurethebestperformancefromthelawnmower,itisimportanttokeepit
clean.
- Always clean the lawnmower immediately after use.
- Donotallowgrasscuttingsandotherdebristobecomedryandhardonanyof
the lawnmower surfaces. This will directly affect the cutting and grass collection

- Makesurethattheundersideofthelawnmowerdeckiscleanandclearofall
grass cuttings.
- Ensure that the grass discharge chute is clean and clear.
- Thegrassbagmustalwaysbeemptiedafteruseandtheinteriorcleanedand
cleared of all grass cuttings.
Storage
Ensurethatthelawnmowerhasbeenthoroughlycleanedbeforestoringitinaclean,
dry place, out of the reach of children.
