CHARGING THE BATTERY:
The battery needs to be charged before first use and whenever it fails to produce sufficient power to cut
grass. After several charge and discharge cycles, the battery will attain full capacity. The battery may become
warm while charging; this is normal and does not indicate a problem.
Remove it from the mower and insert it into the charger (14). The battery pack will only fit into the charger in
one way. Do not force it. Be sure that battery pack is fully seated in the charger.
Read all of the safety instructions in the battery charger section of this manual before attempting to charge
the battery pack for your tool. Always use correct battery pack (pack supplied with tool or replacement pack
exactly like it). Never install any other battery pack, it will ruin your tool and may create a hazard.
1. CHARGING PROCEDURE
These chargers require no adjustment and are designed to be as easy as possible to operate. Simply place
your battery pack into the receptacle of a plugged in charger and it will automatically charge the pack.
Fig. 6
1) Plug the charger into an appropriate AC power outlet. The red indicator (15) lights up to tell you that
the charger is ready for use.
2) Insert the battery pack (13) into the charger (14), as shown in Fig 6, making sure the pack is fully
seated in the charger. The green indicator (15) flashes 1Hz to tell you that the battery pack is on
charge.
NOTE! If the red indicator (15) flashes 1Hz means the battery is too hot and it cannot be charged.
The battery cannot be charged immediately after using the appliance. Alow the battery pack to
cool before charging,
If the red indicator (15) and the green indicator (14) flash together, that means the battery pack is faulty.

2. IMPORTANT CHARGING NOTES.
Longest life and best performance can be obtained if the battery pack is charged when the air temperature is
between 18-24°C. Do not charge the battery pack in a very low or very high air temperature. This is important
and will prevent serious damage to the battery pack.
(1) When using your tool continuously, the batteries in your battery pack will become hot. You should let a
hot battery pack cool down for approximately 30 minutes before attempting to recharge.
(2) The charger and battery pack may become warm to the touch while charging. This is a normal condition,
and does not indicate a problem.
(3) Use the charger in normal room temperatures whenever possible. To prevent overheating, do not cover
the charger and do not charge battery packs in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
(4) If the battery pack does not charge properly
•Check current at receptacle by plugging in a lamp or other appliance.
•Move charger and battery pack to a location where the surrounding air temperature is approximately
18-24°C.
•If charging problems persist, take or send the tool, battery pack and charger to your local service
centre.
(5) The battery pack should be recharged when it fails to produce sufficient power. DO NOT CONTINUE to use
under these conditions. Follow the charging procedure. You may also charge a partially used pack whenever
you need with no adverse effect on the battery pack.
(6) Under certain conditions, with the charger plugged in to the power supply, the exposed charging contacts
inside the charger can be shorted by foreign material. Foreign materials of a conductive nature such as, but
not limited to, steel wool, aluminium foil, or any build-up of metallic particles which should be kept away from
charger cavities. Always unplug the charger from the power supply when there is no battery pack in the
cavity. Unplug charger before attempting to clean it.
(7) Do not immerse charger in water or any other liquid.
(8) WARNING! Don’t allow any liquid to get inside charger. Electric shock may result. To facilitate the cooling
of the battery pack after use, avoid placing the charger or battery pack in a warm environment.
(9) CAUTION! Never attempt to open the battery pack for any reason. If the plastic housing of the battery
pack breaks or cracks. Please recycle; do not put it into further use.

After Usage/Storage:
Cleaning the mower
In order to reduce the risk of electric shock, do not expose the mower to water. The underside of the mower
deck should be cleaned after each use, because grass clippings, leaves, dirt, and other debris will accumulate,
which will cause rust and corrosion.

Cordless Lawn Mower 11018 Instructions for Use
Please read and retain these instructions for future reference v001: 31/10/17
Remove any build-up of grass and leaves on or around the motor cover (do not use water).Occasionally wipe
the mower clean with a dry cloth. If debris builds up on the underside of the mower during use, stop the
motor, disconnect it from the battery, and then tilt the mower forward or on its side, and scrape it clean using
an appropriate tool.
Storing the mower
The following steps should be taken in order to prepare the lawn mower for storage.
Clean the mower as described in the previous section.
Inspect the blade, and replace it or sharpen it, if required (refer to the Maintenance section).
Lubricate the mower (refer to the Maintenance section).
Store the mower in a dry, clean location. Do not store it next to corrosive materials, such as fertilizer
or rock salt.
Store the mower indoors, in a cool, dry place, out of the reach of children. Do not cover the lawn
mower with a solid plastic sheet. Plastic coverings trap moisture around the mower, which causes rust
and corrosion.
Remove the battery and store it in a cool dry location, if possible. Charge the battery every two
months when not in use in order to increase its life.
Remove the key and store in a secure place.
