1. EINLEITUNG
Sehr geehrte Kundin, sehr geehrter Kunde,
vielen Dank für den Kauf Ihres AssistStand! Sie haben damit einen Mobilständer von hoher Qualität erworben,
welcher nach neuesten EU Standards entwickelt und getestet wurde. Wir sind sicher, dass der AssistStand in
Verbindung mit der entsprechenden Computer Hard- und Software einen wertvollen Beitrag zur Integration be-
hinderter Menschen leisten kann.
Durch seine individuellen Einstellmöglichkeiten und seine einfache Bedienbarkeit wird er sowohl für den Pati-
enten als auch für das Pflegepersonal eine große Hilfe und Erleichterung sein.
2. VERWENDUNGSZWECK / ANWENDUNGSZWECK / KONTRAINDIKATIONEN
Der AssistStand wurde speziell als Monitorständer und Arbeitsstation für den Bereich der privaten Pflege von
Patienten entwickelt. Er wird als Halterung und Positionierungshilfe für PCs, Kommunikationshilfen und Moni-
tore eingesetzt.
Durch den AssistStand wird Patienten mit eingeschränkter Kommunikation oder Motorik das Grundbedürfnis
zur Kommunikation oder PC-Steuerung ermöglicht.
Dieser innovative, ergonomische und leicht zu handhabende medizinische Fahrwagen verfügt über eine stufen-
lose Höhenverstellfunktion und zudem über eine für stehende, liegende und sitzende Haltungen unabhängige
Monitorpositionierung.
Durch optionales Zubehör wie eineTastaturablage oder PC-Plattform wird aus dem AssistStand eine ideale mo-
bile Arbeitsstation.
Die Fahrbarkeit des AssistStand ist eine wichtige Grundvoraussetzung zur schnellen Installation im Gesichtsfeld
des Patienten. Zur Pflege des Patienten kann der AssistStand leicht und sicher zur Seite gefahren werden.
Er kann handelsübliche Monitore bis zu einem Höchstgewicht von 6 kg aufnehmen, wenn sie über eine Befesti-
gungsmöglichkeit nach VESA-Standard 75 x 75 mm bis 100 x 100 mm verfügen.
Als kontraindiziert müssen Patienten angesehen werden, die unkontrolliert heftige Bewegungen mit denArmen
oder Beinen ausführen und deshalb die Standfestigkeit des AssistStand gefährden.

3. ALLGEMEINE SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
Lesen Sie vor dem Einsatz und vor der Montage die Gebrauchsanweisung vollständig
durch. Hier erhalten Sie wichtige Hinweise für den gefahrlosen Einsatz Ihres Assist-
Stand. Für Fehler und Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachten dieser Gebrauchsanweisung
entstehen, übernimmt der Hersteller keine Haftung.
Durch den Erwerb und den kommerziellen Einsatz dieses Medizinproduktes gehen die
BETREIBERPFLICHTEN auf Sie über. Informieren Sie sich über diese Pflichten.
Montieren Sie keine Monitore an den AssistStand, die schwerer als das zugelassene
Höchstgewicht von 6 kg sind.
Montieren Sie keine anderen Geräte oder Bauteile an den AssistStand. Durch den An-
bau nicht vom Hersteller freigegebener Teile erlischt jeglicher Garantieanspruch und
die Produkthaftung allgemein. Das gleiche gilt, wenn Teile weggelassen werden, die
zum AssistStand gehören.
Verfahren Sie den AssistStand nur, wenn der Monitor bis zu seinem Anschlag an die
Säule geführt ist. Fahren Sie besonders langsam und vorsichtig über bauliche Hinder-
nisse wie Schwellen undTeppichkanten. Sonst besteht Kippgefahr!
Verfahren des AssistStand ist nur bei gelösten Rollenbremsen zulässig. Fassen Sie
während des Verfahrens den AssistStand immer am Verfahrgriff an.
Bremsen Sie die Rollen des AssistStand nur im Stillstand.
Während der Montage und während des Verstellens des Liftarms bestehtVerletzungs-
gefahr durch Quetschen der Haut und der Finger an beweglichenTeilen.

6. PFLEGE / REINIGUNG
Reinigen Sie den AssistStand mit einem feuchten Tuch und einem handelsüblichen pH-neutralen Haushaltsreini-
ger. Verwenden Sie keine aggressiven Mittel die Salmiak, Scheuermittel oder Verdünnungen enthalten.
Verwenden Sie zur Wischdesinfektion milde und schonende Desinfektionsmittel die von der DGHM (Deutsche
Gesellschaft für Hygiene und Mikrobiologie) gelistet sind.
7. LAGERUNG
Der AssistStand ist für den mehrfachen Wiedereinsatz geeignet. Soll er eingelagert werden, demontieren Sie
ihn in umgekehrter Reihenfolge der in Kapitel 5 (Montageanleitung) beschriebenen Schritte und verpacken ihn
trocken und staubdicht. Durch unsachgemäße Lagerung in feuchter Umgebung kann sich an der Säule Flugrost
bilden.
Beachten Sie vor einem Wiedereinsatz die Sicherheitshinweise in Kapitel 11. Reinigen und desinfizieren Sie den
AssistStand vor einem erneuten Aufbau und führen Sie eine Wartung gemäß Kapitel 10 durch.
Verwenden Sie zur Desinfektion nur milde und schonende Mittel, entsprechend der Desinfektionsmittel-Liste des
VAH (Verbund für Angewandte Hygiene).
Wird der AssistStand zu einem Wiedereinsatz transportiert und die Originalverpackung steht nicht mehr zur Ver-
fügung, tragen Sie selber dafür Sorge, dass die Einzelteile nicht durch Erschütterungen oder andere schädliche
Einflüsse beschädigt werden.
8. ENTSORGUNG
Sollte der AssistStand ausgedient haben, demontieren Sie ihn und bringen die Teile zu einer Sammelstelle
für Altmetall. Entsorgen Sie ihn nicht über den Hausmüll. Die Gasdruckfeder im Liftarm muss vor der Ent-
sorgung drucklos gemacht werden und das Öl entsorgt werden. Wenden Sie sich dazu an den Hersteller des
AssistStand.
9. GARANTIE / PRODUKTLEBENSDAUER
Für den AssistStand geben wir im Rahmen unserer Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen die Garantie für ein-
wandfreie Beschaffenheit. Auf Materialfehler gewähren wir ab Kaufdatum eine Werksgarantie von 24 Monaten.
Wir gehen bei sorgfältigem Umgang von einer Produktlebensdauer von mehr als fünf Jahren aus. Sollte der
AssistStand nach mehr als 10 Jahren noch im Einsatz sein, muss er zur Sicherheitskontrolle an den Hersteller
eingeschickt werden.

10. WARTUNG
Unterziehen Sie Ihren AssistStand mindestens einmal jährlich und vor jedem Wiedereinsatz einer Wartung die
folgende Punkte umfasst:
Überprüfen Sie, ob alle Rollen sicher festgeschraubt sind und sich leicht drehen.
Betätigen Sie die Bremsen der zwei gebremsten Räder und kontrollieren Sie ob die Bremswirkung vorhanden ist.
Nehmen Sie den 6 mm Inbusschlüssel zur Hand und ziehen Sie alle Schraubverbindungen nach. Das sind die
„Madenschrauben“ in den Stellringen, am Liftarm und am VESA Monitorhalter sowie am Verfahrgriff.
Prüfen Sie durch Wackeln an der Säule, ob diese fest mit der Bodenplatte verschraubt ist. Ziehen Sie die
Schraubverbindung gegebenenfalls nach. Bei Verwendung der optionalen 400 mm Säulenverlängerung prü-
fen Sie auch diese auf festen Sitz und ziehen Sie die Schraubverbindung gegebenenfalls nach.
Prüfen Sie die Funktion und Vorspannung der Gasdruckfeder im Liftarm, indem Sie den Monitor auf- und
abbewegen. Er sollte sich leicht nach oben bewegen lassen und nicht wieder absinken. Sinkt der Monitor
selbsttätig ab muss die Gasdruckfeder eingestellt werden. Lässt sich die Gasdruckfeder nicht mehr einstellen,
muss sie ausgetauscht werden.
Verwenden Sie zur Desinfektion nur milde und schonende Mittel, entsprechend der Desinfektionsmittel-Liste
des VAH (Verbund für Angewandte Hygiene).
Sollten Funktionsstörungen auftreten, informieren Sie den Betreiber, der sich mit dem Hersteller des Assist-
Stand in Verbindung setzen wird. Hier können schnell die erforderlichen Ersatzteile angefordert werden.
Lassen Sie die Teile nur von geeignetem und geschultem Fachpersonal austauschen. Die Gasdruckfeder ist ein
geschlossenes System, welches nicht repariert werden kann. Versuchen Sie auf KEINEN Fall, diese zu öffnen!
11. WIEDEREINSATZ / SICHERHEITSTECHNISCHE-KONTROLLE
Wird der AssistStand zu einem Wiedereinsatz transportiert und die Originalverpackung steht nicht mehr zur Ver-
fügung, tragen Sie selber dafür Sorge, dass die Einzelteile nicht durch Erschütterungen oder andere schädliche
Einflüsse beschädigt werden.

1. INTRODUCTION
Dear Customers,
many thanks for buying the AssistStand! You have purchased a mobile workstand of high quality, which has
been developed and tested according to recent EU standards. We are sure that the AssistStand in conjunction
with an adequate computer hard- and software will make a valuable contribution to the integration of handicap-
ped people.
The individual adjustment options and simple handling will be a great help and a facilitation for the patients and
the nursing staff.
2. INTENDED USE / RANGE OF APPLICATION / CONTRAINDICATION
The AssistStand has been designed as a monitor stand and workstation in the field of private care for patients.
It is used as a support and positioning aid for PCs, communication aids and monitors.
The AssistStand allows patients with impaired communication or motor skills for the basic need for communi-
cation or PC control.
This innovative, ergonomic and easy-to-maneuver healthcare cart features infinitely variable height adjustment
and also has a screen positioning regardless of standing, lying or sitting postures.
Through optional accessories such as a keyboard tray or PC platform the AssistStand will be an ideal mobile
workstation.
The drivability of the AssistStand is an important precondition for a fast installation of the hard- and software
inside the field of vision of the patient. For the purpose of caring the patient the AssistStand can easily and safely
be pulled over.
It can accommodate all commercially available monitors up to a maximum weight of 6 kg, if they have 100 mm
on a mounting option VESA standard 75 x 75 mm to 100 x 100 mm.
Contraindicated are patients who move uncontrollable their arms and legs and therefore endanger the stability
of the AssistStand.

3. SAFETY INFORMATION
Please read the instruction manual completely before use and mounting. Here you
get important details for a safe use of your AssistStand. The manufacturer does not
assume liability for failures and damages which result from non-observance of this
instruction manual.
Through purchasing and commercial use of this medical device you assume the USER
DUTIES. Please read up upon these duties.
Do not fit any monitor to the AssistStand, whose weight is more than the maximum
weight of 6 kg.
Do not fit any other equipment or units to the AssistStand. If you mount any units
which are not approved by the manufacturer any warranty claim and the product li-
ability in general will expire. The same applies if units belonging to the AssistStand
are left out.
Move the AssistStand only if the monitor is pushed up against the pole. Move particu-
larly slowly and cautious across structural hindrances like steps and edges of carpets.
Otherwise there is a risk of tilting!
Moving is only allowed when the brakes of the casters are released. Move the Assist-
Stand only by catching hold on the rear handle.
Lock the casters only if the AssistStand has been come to halt.
In the course of mounting and moving the monitor arm there is a risk of injury in the
form of crushing skin and fingers at moving parts.

6. CLEANING
Clean the AssistStand with a wet cloth and an usual pH-neutral household cleaner. Do not use aggressive sub-
stances like ammonium chloride, cleaning powder or thinner.
Use for wiping disinfection mild and gentle disinfectants which are registered by the DGHM (Deutsche Gesell-
schaft für Hygiene und Mikrobiologie).
7. STORAGE
The AssistStand is adapted for multiple further use. For storing disassemble the monitor stand in reversed order
compared to the assembly instructions (Chapter 5) and pack it dry and dust free. Due to improper storage in a
wet environment rust can be formed at the column.
Pay attention to the safety instructions in Chapter 11 before reuse.
Clean and disinfect the AssistStand before every further use and carry out an maintenance according to chapter
10. Use only mild and gentle solutions for disinfection and cleaning, according to the disinfectant list of the VAH
(Verbund für Angewandte Hygiene).
If the AssistStand is transported to a reuse and the original packaging is no longer available, you must ensure
yourself that components are not damaged by vibrations or other harmful influences.
8. DISPOSAL
For disposal disassemble the AssistStand and bring the components to a scrap metal collection place. Do not
dispose it by the domestic waste. Unpressure the gas spring of the monitor arm and depollute the oil. For this
purpose contact the manufacturer of the AssistStand.
9. WARRANTY / DURABILITY
We guarantee the unobjectionable condition of the AssistStand within the limits of our general terms and con-
ditions. We guarantee material defects for 24 months from date of purchase.
It is assumed that the product will have a durability of more than five years when its handled carefully. Should
the AssistStand still be in use after ten years then it should be sent in to the manufacturer for safety check.

10. MAINTENANCE
Put the AssistStand at least once a year and before every further use to a maintenance comprehending the fol-
lowing articles:
Check the running casters up if they are tightened and free-moving.
Lock the brackets of the two lockable running casters and check the braking effect.
Retighten all screws with the 6 mm Allen key. These are the set screws of the pole mount brackets, the mo-
nitor arm, the VESA display support and the rear handle.
Check by bouncing the pole if it is fastened carefully at the base. Retighten it if necessary. If using the optio-
nal 400 mm pole extension also check if it is fastened carefully and retighten it if necessary.
Do use only mild and gentle solutions for cleaning and disinfection, according to the disinfectant list of the
VAH (Verbund für Angewandte Hygiene).
Check the function and prestressing of the gas spring in the monitor arm by moving the monitor up and
down. It should easily be movable upwards and not slide down. If the monitor slides down self-acting the
gas spring has to be adjusted. If it is not possible to adjust the gas spring it has to be changed.
In case of dysfunctions inform the operator who will contact the manufacturer of the AssistStand. Here the spare
parts can be quickly ordered. Only qualified and skilled personnel is allowed to replace the components.
The gas spring is a closed system which is irreparable.You must NOT OPEN it in any case!
11. REUSE / SAFETY CONTROL
If the AssistStand is transported to a reuse and the original packaging is no longer available, you must ensure
yourself that components are not damaged by vibrations or other harmful influences.
