If this gate is to be used with children:
1. Install according to manufacturer’s instructions.
2. This gate is suitable for openings up to 71 cm and 122 cm (28”- 48”).
3. Use only with the locking/latching mechanism securely engaged.
4. This product is intended for use with children from 6 – 24 months.
5. Never leave child unattended. This product will not necessarily prevent all accidents.
6. Never use with a child who is able to open or climb over the gate.
7. WARNING: Incorrect fitting or positioning of this safety barrier can be dangerous.
8. To prevent serious injury, never allow adults, children or pets to climb over or under the gate,
as it may damage this safety gate.
9. The surfaces that the safety gate is to be fixed to must be suitable for the purpose and must be
structurally sound. NOTE: Do not use this gate if it can’t be installed to walls, door frames or
posts – tightly and flatly.
10. DO NOT install this gate to hollow walls.
11. This safety gate must NOT be fitted across window openings and the like.
12. NOTE: Never use without Locking Hooks.
13. Securely install and operate the gate according to instructions to help prevent accidental injury.
14. Do not use the safety gate if any components are damaged or missing.
15. Install this gate away from heaters and other sources of heat.
16. This gate must NEVER be used as a pool or pond barrier.
17. Gate is not meant to replace proper adult supervision.
18. Always check that gate is locked after closing gate.
19. If the gate is used at the bottom of the stairs to prevent the child from climbing up the stairs,
it must be placed on the lowest stair.
20. If the gate is to be used at the top of the stairs to prevent the child from falling down the stairs,
it must not be placed on any stair below the level of the top stair. At the top of the landing,
position the gate 15 cm (6”) away from the top step.
21. Spacers are required when fitting gate to skirting board.
22. This product requires adult assembly.
23. For indoor use ONLY.

•STOP using when pet can climb over or dislodge the gate.
•STRANGULATION HAZARD: Pets can force themselves into very small openings. Use this gate only
with pets whose heads and bodies WILL NOT fit into opening of the gate, between the gate and
the floor, or between the gate and the wall.
•Refrain from using a leash with your pet when using the product; pet could become entangled.

No. 1 “General Purpose” wall plug
Generally aerated blocks should
not be used to support heavy
loads, use a specialist fitting in
this case. For light loads, general
purpose wall plugs can be used.
No. 2 “Plasterboard”
wall plug
For use when attaching light loads
onto plasterboard partitions.
No. 5 “Hammer Fixing” wall plug
For use with walls stuck with
plasterboard. The hammer fixing
allows it to be fixed to the wall
rather than the plasterboard.
Always check the fixing is secure
to the retaining wall.
No. 6 “Shield Anchor ” wall plug -
heavy loads
For use with heavier loads such
as TV and HiFi speakers and
satellite dishes etc.
No. 3 “Cavity Fixing” wall plug
For use with plasterboard
partitions or hollow wooden
doors.
No. 4 “Cavity Fixing - Heavy
Duty” wall plug
For use when fitting or support-
ing heavy loads such as shelving,
wall cabinets and coat racks.
If plastic wall plugs (rawl plugs)
are supplied with your product,
e.g.:
- these are only suitable for use in
masonry walls.
If you are in any doubt about the
correct wall plugs for your wall,
seek professional advice.
Failure of the product due to using the
incorrect fixings is the responsibility
of the installer.

Make sure that the screws and wall plugs being used are
suitable for supporting your unit. Consult a qualified
tradesperson if you are unsure.
Hints:
1. General use: always use a larger screw and wall plug
if you are not sure.
2. Ensure you use the recommended drill bit to match the wall
plug and hole size.
3. Ensure you drill the hole horizontally; do not force the drill
or enlarge the hole.
4. Take extra care when drilling high walls, ceilings and ceramic
tiles. Ensure wall plugs are inserted beyond the thickness of
the ceramic tiles to avoid the tiles splitting or cracking.
5. Ensure wall plugs are well fitted and are a tight fit in the
drilled hole.
Important note:
Types of walls: You can use one of the following types of wall plug if your wall plugs are made
of brick, breeze block, concrete, stone or wood.

Safety: always check the fitting and
location to ensure your safety in and
around the home.
Fitting: from time to time check the
fitting to ensure the wall plugs or
screws do not become loose.
Important: when drilling into walls always check
that there are no hidden wires or pipes etc.
Wipe clean with damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use bleach. Dry with cloth.

Before you begin,
measure the opening
to make sure your gate
is wide enough for the
entire opening. You could
adjust the dimension of
the gate with components
(I 1), (I 2), (J 1) and (J 2).
Cut the installation template following the dotted line.
Stick the longer one (G) in one side of wall and shorter one (H) to the directly
opposite wall.
The dotted line should be fully attached the floor and make sure the template
stand in vertical. Then mark the position of the holes.

Drill 5 mm hole for the 6 marked positions, then put wall plugs (A), and
use screw (B) to fix component (C) and (F).
Adjust the gate width to fit the door width by bolts (K) and (L).
Caution: please refer to page 9 to make correct length adjustment.
Put on the gate on (C) and (F), then use screw (B) to fix component (D).

Locate the 2 holes position before (E) to be
mounted on the wall.
Drill 5 mm holes, put wall plug (A), then
use screw (B) to fix component (E).

Use the tools provided to adjust bolts (K) and (L) to make the gate width to fit
the door properly as below safety requirement:
Caution: To ensure that this distance between each side of the gate and the wall
is less than 60mm. Meanwhile, the distance between the fixed side of the gate
and wall must be more than 34mm.

Operation

One-handed use, press down the button and lift the gate for two way opening.
Use the tools provided to adjust bolt (K) to get smooth lock and unlock
operation.
Caution: Check the lock function before each use!

Utilisation d’une seule main : Appuyez sur le bouton et soulevez la barrière
pour la faire pivoter dans un sens ou dans l’autre.
Utilisez les outils fournis pour régler les boulons afin que la barrière s’ouvre
et se ferme sans difficulté.
Attention : Vérifiez le fonctionnement du verrou avant chaque utilisation!

À l’aide des outils fournis, réglez les boulons (K) et (L) de manière à bien
ajuster la barrière dans l’ouverture, conformément à la consigne de sécurité
ci-dessous.
Attention : Assurez-vous que l’espace entre le mur et la barrière est inférieur
à 60 mm de chaque côté. Toutefois, l’espace entre le mur et le côté fixe de la
barrière doit être supérieur à 34 mm.

Avant de fixer la pièce (E) au mur, marquez
l’emplacement des deux trous. Percez des
trous de 5 mm, insérez des pièces d’ancrage
(A), puis fixez la pièce (E) avec des vis (B).
