Setti g Up
Insert t e supplied AA batteries into t e transmitter by carefully unscrewing t e base of t e
and eld or opening t e flap of t e bodypack to reveal t e battery compartment. Insert t e batteries
(ensuring t at + and - are t e correct way round for eac cell) and carefully replace t e cover.
For neckband or lavalier microp ones, connect t e microp one lead into t e bodypack, ensuring it is securely
pus ed into t e socket.
T e receiver antenna may be connected directly to t e BNC connector on t e rear panel or
alternatively front-mounted onto rack ears (see below)
If t e receiver is to be rack-mounted, place t e supplied rack ears against eac side of t e receiver
and fix securely wit 2 screws in eac . T ese rack ears ave a ole for front-mounting t e antenna
and a BNC extension lead for fixing into t e ole. T is s ould be connected to t e BNC on t e rear
panel, creating a front socket for t e antenna to connect onto.
A c oice of unbalanced 6.3mm jack or balanced XLR output is available on t e rear panel of t e
receiver. Connect t e jack or XLR (optional) lead to t e relevant output connector, turn down t e
volume of any equipment (mixer, amplifier etc.) t at t e signal will be fed into and t en connect t e
jack or XLR to t e equipment.
Position t e receiver wit in t e best available line of sig t to t e transmitters and connect t e DC
jack of t e supplied power adaptor to t e receiver and t e plug top to t e mains outlet.
Operatio
Turn microp one levels down on t e receiver and switc on power on t e front panel of t e receiver.
Warning! - take care not to point microp ones towards speakers – t is can cause damaging feedback
(loud w istle or owling noise) – try to point microp ones away from t e speaker cabinets.
For t e and eld version, move t e switc on t e and eld transmitter upward to switc it on and
t e LCD display s ould lig t for a few seconds, s owing t e carrier frequency and battery status.
For t e bodypack transmitter, press and old t e front on/off button until t e display lig ts up for a
few seconds, ensuring t at t e Mute switc is off. T e display will s ow t e current carrier frequency
and battery status. T e transmitter frequency s ould matc t e frequency on t e receiver. If not,
see “Tuning” below.
Gradually increase t e microp one level on t e receiver, t en increase t e volume on t e mixer or
amplifier until t e sound from eac microp one can be eard t roug t e equipment.
By Pressing t e Mode button twice on t e belt pack, you can set t e input sensitivity of t e transmitter. T is
means you can connect devices wit a different output level to t e supplied microp one, or turn t e level down
if t e device is overloading.
After pressing t e button twice you will see t e left and bars flas on t e screen. Using t e set button you can
select Line, Low, Medium, or Hig sensitivity. Line being t e least sensitive.
Tu i g
T e carrier frequency may be selected on t e receiver unit by pressing t e SET button, w ic
causes t e GROUP label to flas in t e display. Buttons 16 & 17can be used to select t e
Group from 1 to 7. Pressing t e SET button again causes t e CHANNEL label to flas . T e c annel
can be selected wit in a group using buttons 16 & 17.
Groups 1 to 6 ave between 3 and 5 preset c annels, w ilst Group 7 allows access to all 81 possible
frequencies. Depending upon any ot er radio signals in t e vicinity of t e operating environment,
one particular Group may offer a better c annel spacing t an anot er and t is s ould be determined
by experimentation. If a particular group of frequencies results in poor reception or interference, try
