COMMISSIONING
3.1. Connections and operating materials
Connection of electricity
A reliable power source with an operating voltage (230V) and corresponding fuses as
shown on the model plate must be available. The automatic phase inverter automatically
regulates the direction of rotation. Never operate the machine without the equipped
portable residual current device (PRCD).
Water connection - Cooling
The core drill motor has integrated water cooling. If the core drill motor is put into
operation for drilling, it must be cooled with fresh water. The cooling water is fed
directly into the tool through the integrated water cooling. Drilling without water is
prohibited!
3.2. PRCD Switch
This drill has a portable residual current device (PRCD) hard wired into the power cable. In an
event of a short circuit, power surge, electrocution or power outage (voltage drop), the PRCD will
sever the power to the drill. After the problem has been resolved, reset the PRCD by simply
pressing the GREEN reset button on the device. Halten Sie den FI-Schalter von fließendem oder
stehendem Wasser fern.
Keep the PRCD away from any running or standing water.
Before operating the drill test the PRCD to make sure it is functioning properly.
Never use the drill if the PRCD is non-operational.
To check the PRCD press the test button.
Never tamper with the power cable plug head.
3.3. Carbon Brushes
As soon as the carbon brushes are almost worn out the core drill machine significantly loses
power. Replace the carbon brushes as soon as you notice a significant loss of power.
Do not wait until the carbon brushes are completely worn out, as this leads to damage to
the motor.

15/30
3.4. Tool selection
Danger!
The use of non-tested or unauthorised tools is prohibited. Damaged tools must not be used!
Depending on the application purpose and area, tools are different. To have the best results, the
parameters must match. For this the maximum core drill diameter must be observed in reference
to the peripheral speed.

Fixtures for tools
The core drill motor has a drill crown collet of 1 ¼" UNC.
Maximum tool length
The maximum tool length is dependent on the core drill stand.
Storage of tools
Tools must be protected against humidity during storage. The attached segments must be
protected from damage.
Note
In the LISSMAC sales booklet, the prices for the tools are determined. This sales booklet can be
obtained from the manufacturer at any time.

TRANSPORT
Note
During transport the core drill motor must be disconnected from the power mains.
Disconnect the power supply cable of the core drill motor from the power mains.
Remove the tool from the core drill motor.
Remove the core drill motor from the core drill stand.
OPERATION
Caution!
The core drill motor must be cooled with water for drilling. Without this cooling the motor
overheats and will become faulty.
Danger!
Avoid any contact with the running tool.
With this core drill motor water is used for cooling and for rinsing the core drill during drilling. To
supply the core drill motor with water, connect the included GEKA fitting onto the GEKA fitting
equipped on the core drill motor. Always use clean water for the core drill motor and ensure that
dirty water is properly removed from the drilling location. This contributes to longer service life of
the core drill and the water seals on the core drill motor. The water pressure must be maximum
three bar.
Notice whether excessive vibrations occur on the core drill. If vibrations are too high the
drill can possibly jam or be damaged.
Do not use any spiral core drill since in time this leads to damage of the drilling machine.
Make sure that no water escapes on the spindle. Replace the water seals in the drilling
machine immediately if leaks are detected.
During drilling always pay attention to the intermittent overload protection and avoid an
overload of the drilling machine motor.
Never operate the drilling machine if an electrical component or the cable is damaged.
Have a specialist repair the drilling machine.
Never carry or pull the drilling machine by the power cable.
Only position the core drill on the workpiece when the drill has reached its maximum
speed.
Change the gear setting only after the spindle has stopped completely.
If you want to replace a core drill, tightly hold the spindle with a key. Loosen the core drill
with another key. Never hit the bit to loosen it. This will damage the bit.
