1. Remove the protective film from the laser aperture.
2. Connect the power supply into a standard electrical
outlet socket.
3. Connect to your Wi-Fi (This is not essential).

How to connect to a Wi-Fi
connection

• To initiate Quick Mode configuration, press and hold
the power button on the side of the Lunar Lantern
Projector for 6 seconds until the blue light blinks
rapidly.
• Go to the ‘Smart Life’ app and tap the icon “+” on the
top right, choose any device, press ‘enter’ into
‘Add Device’.

3. Install the Smart Life App for either iOS or Android.
Once downloaded the app will ask you to register
your device. Enter your mobile phone number and
your email address. Select the Country in which you
live. You will receive a text to your mobile with your
registration code.
4. If you choose the email option you will be asked to
create a password.

• Follow the in-app instructions to connect the Lunar
Lantern Projector to your Wi-Fi network.

Please remember to choose the fast blinking option.

• Once connected the app will prompt you to
connect, now you’re connected press ‘Done’.
• You can now control your Lunar Lantern projector
from your smartphone using the ‘Smart Life’ app.
• Once the configuration has been completed the
indicator light on your projector will remain on, and
the projector will be added to the ‘Device List’.
• Make sure ‘Bluetooth’ is activated on your smart-
phone.
• Hold the button on the Lunar Lantern projector for 6
seconds until the blue light blinks rapidly.
• Enter the ‘add device’ section on your smartphone.
Then press ‘Go to add’.
• Enter your Wi-Fi password and press ‘Next’ to add
your device.
• Once connected the App will prompt you to con-
nect, once connected press ‘Done’.
• Launch the ‘Smart Life’ app on your smartphone.
Sign in to your account and make sure ‘Mini Smart
Star Projector’ is on the device list.
• Minimise the ‘Smart Life’ app, and launch the Alexa
app. Sign in to your Alexa app account. You will need
at least one smart speaker controlled device like the
Amazon Echo Dot etc to make this work.
• In the upper left corner of the Home page press the
app menu button. Select ‘Skills’ from the options.

Connecting your Lunar Lantern
Projector to Amazon Alexa

• Type in ‘Smart Life’ in the search and press the
search button next to it.
• Go back to the app menu section and then select
‘Smart home’.
• In the ‘Smart Home’ page you can group your
devices. Your ‘Smart Life’ app has now been paired
with Alexa. This will allow you to control your Lunar
Lantern Projector through Alexa.

• Launch the Google Home app and make sure you
have a Google Home Speaker installed. If not then
you’ll have to install this.
• Once Google Home is installed go to the app menu
button in the upper left corner. Then press ‘Home
Control’ in the menu.

• After successfully linking your account in the Google
Home app you will be able to see all your smart
devices including your ‘Smart Life’ app. You can
assign a room to this device if you like.
• Now you can use Google Home to control your
Lunar Lantern Projector. You can say:
• “OK, Google, Turn on / off wall light.”
• “OK, Google, set bedroom light to red.”

• What should I do if I can’t turn off or on The Lunar
Projector?
Make sure your phone and the Lunar Lantern Pro-
jector are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
• What should I do if the configuration fails?
Make sure to connect the Lunar Lantern Projector
within a short distance of your internet router.
Check whether the available internet network has a
frequency of 2.4GHz.
Check your internet connection is working properly.
• How can I share devices with my family and
friends?
Open the ‘Smart Life’ app, select “Profile” > “Device
Sharing” > “Sent” select “Add Sharing”, now you can
share with your family and friends.
• Can this ‘Smart Life’ app be used on any type of
mobile phone? Can I control the device from a
distance?
The ‘Smart Life’ app works with both Android & iOS
devices. Once connected to the internet, there is no
distance limitation.

• Can I control the devices with a 2G/3G/4G
connection?
The Lunar Lantern Projector devices must be regis-
tered first on a Wi-Fi network. After you have suc-
cessfully connected, the Lunar Lantern Projector can
be controlled by your smartphone with 2G/3G/4G
networks.
• Will it cause a fire or other safety hazards if kept
on all night?
No, it will be safe to use all night.
• Can I adjust the brightness on the Lunar Lantern
Projector?
Yes, you can adjust the brightness through the
‘Smart Life’ app.
• Is laser light damaging to eyesight?
Yes, you must not look directly into the laser.
