● Be sure to carefully read these assembly and usage instructions to ensure correct assembly of this product.
Incorrect assembly is dangerous and could cause the chair to flip over, resulting in an injury or damage.
● Position the product on a level, stable surface. If you use the product on an inclined or unstable
floor, it may cause the product to fall over or result in an accident.
● Avoid using the product in places exposed to direct sunlight, high temperatures, or high
humidity, as it may cause deterioration, deformation, or discoloration.
Also, do not bring the chair near the open flame of heaters or other devices. The seat fabric
could ignite, resulting in a fire.
● Do not stand on the footstep, or perform actions where you entire weight is applied to it. This is
dangerous, and the footstep could break if more than the expected weight is applied.
● When mounting the footstep, mount firmly so that it makes an exact fit with the groove.
● Do not bring a cutter knife or sharp object into contact with the backrest or seat fabric. This
could result in a snag or rip in the fabric.
● Do not insert your hands or fingers into the gaps of the movable parts. They could get pinched
in between, resulting in an injury.
● Do not attempt to disassemble or modify this product.
● If you notice any looseness in the set screws or other parts when using, immediately retighten
them.
Continued usage with loose parts is dangerous because the parts could fall off, causing the
chair to flip over, resulting in an injury or damage.
● If the chair feels unstable, makes an unusual sound, or otherwise feels abnormal, immediately
stop usage, and contact the dealer where you made the purchase.
● When cleaning the fabric, either slap the fabric with your hands to dislodge the dust, or use a
vacuum cleaner to remove the dust. To remove stains, use a commercially-available fabric stain
remover.
● To clean the metal and plastic parts, wipe with a soft, dry cloth. If the parts are extremely dirty,
wipe it with a small amount of mild detergent mixed with water, then wipe it with a well-wrung
cloth to thoroughly remove all water and detergent.
● Never use alcohol or thinner-based solvents to wipe the chair parts. They could damage the
surface.
● Do not handle this product roughly or use it for other than its intended purpose.
Do not use the
chair as a platform
for carrying objects.
Do not try to sit on the
backrest or sit
backwards on the chair.
Do not stand on the
chair by using it as a
stool.

Assembling the Chair

Insert the gas cylinder onto the base
Mount the footstep (Removing the footstep and adjusting the height)

Insert the gas cylinder onto the base by aligning the gas cylinder
cover indicator side with the base "Rear" sticker arrow position.
*Check that the swivel lock lever of the chair (backrest, seat) is
lowered.
Insert the chair onto the gas cylinder so that the rear side of the
seat is at the rear of the base.
Sit on the seat so that the seat is inserted all the way onto the
gas cylinder.
Align the direction of
the base and seat.
*This procedure describes how to assemble the chair with the
indicator facing the rear, but in actuality, the indicator can be set
in any direction according to user preference. However, be
aware that once the gas cylinder is mounted, it cannot be
remounted.

Loosen the knob of the footstep, press it out
slightly in the direction of the arrow, and
then remove the clamp from the footstep
body. Loosen the clamp until the is no
longer visible.
Raise the seat, and pass the footstep
through the cylinder at the metal part of the
cylinder as shown in the figure.
*Tighten at a position where the protrusions on the
step fit into the groove of the cylinder cover without
any gaps.
Insert the clamp from above as shown in the
figure, move the step to the position where you
want to lock it, and then tighten the knob.
(The mark position of the clamp is the height
position of the indicator.)

The Stella Techno Kids Chair by Okamura can be adjusted to dimensions compatible with JIS sizes 2
to 6 for school furniture at a desk height of approximately 76cm.
The seated height can be adjusted to any setting, the footstep height supports sizes 2 to 4, and the
depth can be adjusted to 5 levels to match the child's growth for enabling usage with correct posture.
*Refer to the figure below, and set the size to match the child's height.

*For the seated height, adjust the height by referring to the figure above. (A desk height of 76cm is standard.)
Pull up the seat height

pulling the lever, the seat is
lowered. If you pull the lever
without sitting on the seat, the
seat is raised.
The seat can be moved by pulling the seat forward/backward slide lever.
Set to a position that matches the child based on the provided indicator.
The seat turns while the swivel lock lever is raised.
When the lever is lowered, the seat is locked.
When a person sits on the seat, the casters sink
down and lock in place.
