To getthe best performance from your dishwasher, read all operating instructions

Before using your dishwasher for the first time:
The water softener must be set manually, using the water hardness dial.
The water softener is designed to remove minerals and salts from thewater, which wouldhave
a detrimental or adverse effect on the operation of the appliance. The higher the
content of these minerals and salts, the harder your water is. The softener should be
adjusted according to the hardness ofthe water in your area.Your local WaterAuthority
can advise you onthehardnessofthewaterinyourarea.
Adjusting Salt Consumption
The dishwasher is designed to allow for adjustment in the amount of saltconsumed based onthe hardness of
the water used. This is to optimise the saltconsumption.
1. Unscrewthe cap from the salt container.
2. There is aring on the container with an arrow on it (see diagram
on theleft), if necessary, rotate the ring in the anticlockwise
direction from the "-" Setting toward the"+"sign, based on the
hardness of the water being used.
It is recommendedthat adjustments should be made in
accordance withthe following table:

1. The salt container must only be refilled when the salt warning light on the control panel comeson.
Depending on how well the salt dissolves, thesalt warning light may still be on even though the
salt container is filled.
If there is no salt warning light in the control panel (some Models),you can estimate when to fill
the salt into the softener by the cycles that the dishwasher has run.
2. If there are spills ofthe salt, a soak or a rapid program should be run to remove the excessivesalt.
The salt container islocated beneath the lower basket and should be filled as explained
inthe following:
Attention!
Only use salt specifically designed for the use indishwashers! Every other type of
salt not specificallydesigned for theuse in adishwasher, especially table salt, will
damage the water softener. If damage is caused by the use of unsuitable salt the
Manufacturer does not give any warranty nor is liable for any damages caused.
Fill with salt just before starting one of the complete washing programs.
This will prevent any grains of salt or salty water, which may have been spilled,
remaining on the bottom of the machine for any period of time, which may cause
corrosion.
Therinse aid is releasedduring the final rinse to prevent water droplets onyour dishes, which can leave spots and
streaks. It also improves drying by allowing water to roll off the dishes. Your dishwasher is designed to use liquid
rinseaids. The rinse aiddispenser islocated inside the door next tothe detergent dispenser. To fill thedispenser,
openthe cap andpour therinse aid into thedispenser untilthe level indicator turns completely black. Thevolume
of the rinseaid container is about 110ml.
RinseAid Dispenser
Function of RinseAid
Rinse aid is automatically added during thelast rinse, ensuring thorough rinsing, and spot and streak free drying.
Attention!
Only use branded rinse aid. Never fill the rinse aid dispenserwith any other substances
(e.g. Dishwasher cleaning agent, liquid detergent). This would damage the appliance.
ARemove the lower basket and then unscrew and remove the cap from thesalt container.
BBefore the first wash, fill the salt container of your machine with 1 It of water.
CPlace the end of the funnel (supplied) into the hole and introduce about 1kg of salt.
DAfter filling the container , screw the cap tightly back clockwise.
EUsually, the salt warning light will stop being illuminated within 2-6 days after the salt containerhasbeen filled with
salt.
FImmediately after filling the salt into the salt container, a washing program should be started
program Otherwise the filter system, pump or other important parts of the machinemay bedamaged
bysalty water. Notcovered by warranty.
(Wesuggest to use the
soak orrapid ).

To open the dispenser, turn the cap to the le t hand arrow and lift it out.f
Pour the rinse aid into the dispenser, being careful not to overfill.
Replace the cap by inserting it aligned with the right hand arrow.
Adjusting RinseAid Dispenser
The rinse aid dispenser has six or four settings.Always start with the dispenser
set on "4". If spots and poor drying are a problem, increase the amount of rinse
aid dispensed by removing the dispenser lid and rotating the dial to "5". If the
dishes still are not drying properlyor show spots, adjust the dial tothe next
higher level until your dishes are spot-free. The recommended setting is "4".
Increase the dose if thereare drops of waterorlimespots onthe dishes after washing.
Reduce itif there aresticky whitish stains on your dishes or abluish film on glassware or

Proper Use of Detergent
Use only detergent specificallymade for theusein dishwashers. Keep your detergentfresh and dry.
Don't put powdereddetergentinto the dispenseruntil you'reready towash dishes.
Dishwasher detergent is corrosive! Take care to keepit out of reach of children.
Based ontheir chemical composition, detergentscan be split in two basic types:
The use of normal washing programs incombinationwith concentrated detergents
reduces pollution and is good for your dishes; thesewash programsare specifically matched
to the dirt-dissolving properties of the enzymes of the concentrated detergent. For this reason
normal wash programsin whichconcentrated detergents are usedcanachieve the same
results thatcan otherwise onlybe achieved using intensive programs.

“”
“”
Detergent tabletsofdifferent brands dissolve atdifferent speeds. Forthis reasonsome
detergenttablets cannot dissolve and develop theirfullcleaning power during short
programs. Therefore use long programs when using detergent tablets, toensure the
complete removal of detergent residuals.
The dispenser must be refilled before the start of each wash cycle following the instructions
provided in the wash cycle table . Your dishwasher uses less detergent and rinse aid than
Conventional dishwasher.Generally, only one tablespoon of detergent is neededfor
anormalwashload. Moreheavily soiled items need more detergent.Alwaysaddthe
detergent just before starting the dishwasher, otherwise it may get damp and will not
dissolve properly.

Normally new pulverised detergent is without phosphate. Thus the water softener function of phosphate
isnotpresent. In this case we recommend to fillthesaltcontainer even when thehardnessofwaterisonly
