2.1 System requirement
◆ Operating System: Windows 2000/XP
◆ Processor: Intel Pentium III, 1G or Higher (Pentium IV, 2G or Higher
recommended)
◆ RAM: 256 MB or more
◆ Color Monitor: At least DirectX 8.1 or higher and 32M Display storage
2.2 Software installation
Run the client software DVS_Client_Setup.exe, the window below will pop up:

Select English, and click OK
Click [Next], the window below will pop up:

Press [Browse…] to change the default path. If you do not want to change, press
[Install].
The below window will pop up:

Then the setup is completed successfully.
3. Instructions
You can select either mode to review the images, web browser or client
software.
3.1 Client Mode
Run DVS Client, it will appear:
When the client is used the first time, user needs to input the IP address or
domain name to the client in order to open the monitor screen, the steps are as
follows:
①Click [Device] on the right side, pop following dialog:

②devices IP/Host have been automatic searched.
Click[Add],pop following dialog:
③You can input the assigned IP and click [OK]
④Select the IP address that you want and click [Connect],the window below
will pop up:

⑤Input the correct username and password (the default both are admin), and
click [Connect],the window below will pop up:
⑥select “chn. 0 ” press and left click and drag it to any window, as follow:

So far, the client is properly working.
3.2 The main interface function
3.2.1 Toolbar
Followed by sound, talk, record, color, setup, play/stop.
◆ Sound: Click it to turn on/off the volume.
◆ Talk: Click it to turn on/off the talk.
◆ Record: Click once to start a record, click one more to stop record. When the
below window appear:

Click button to set the path, and you can click to replay the record.
◆ Color: Adjust the color of current channel
Include brightness, contrast, saturation and hue. Range form 0 to 255, the default
value is 128.
◆ Setup: Encoding, OSD, Shelter, motion detection can be set up.
◆ Play/stop: Click to switch between play and stop.

3.2.1.1 Encoding
You can setup Coding Style, Coding Rate, Frames/second, Gap between
I-Frames.
[Coding Style] Select Quality first or Rate first
[Coding Rate] Select CBR or VBR, CBR is more stability, but it is poor quality
when mass data flow is transmitting. It is more suitable for fixed-bandwidth
transmission. VBR mode relates with the image complexity and data flow, suitable
for storage.
[Frames/second] Transfer frames one second, range from 1 to 25, the default is
4 Fps

[Gap between I-Frames] From 100 Frames there is 1 I-Frames, the default is 50
3.2.1.2 OSD
OSD (On Screen Display) is use to setup channel information, time, color, and
display position.
3.2.1.3 Shelter

Here you can shelter some area in accordance with the actual situation. Press
[Ctrl] and move mouse, click [Clear] to remove what have been sheltered.

3.2.1.4 Motion Detection
Hold [Ctrl] to select, at most 4 areas.

[Sensitivity] The lower setup value, the higher sensitivity
[Valid Period of Time] Setup working time
[Action] 3 option for alarm: Buzz, Notify Client or send e-mail
[Output to ] Show detection image to another channel except current channel
3.2.2 PTZ
Here introduce Pan/Tilt Setup.

◆ FOCUS: To control lens focus
◆ IRIS: To control aperture
◆ ZOOM: To control lens zoom
◆ Press to control lens up, down, left, and right.
◆ [Preset] Select a preset number from the list box, the camera will move to
the Pan/Tilt position of the selected preset number.
On the monitoring image, right click and select [Set current view as a
Preset-point], will pop:
◆ [Cruise] Click [Cruise Track] to set cruise track, select track from the list
box. Click [Stop] to stop cruise.
Click [Cruise Track], will pop:

Show some information of server name, domain, and channel name. Click
[Device] to add device.
