PROJECTOR LIFT MODEL SI-30
INSTALLATION MANUAL
Thank you for purchasing the new SI-30 Projector Lift.
The SI-30 is supplied with a set of components and accessories that make it suitable for installation for the majority of
standard AV applications, but note must be made of the restrictions that apply to the weight capability of this unit and not
exceeded.
Projector lift SI-30 MUST BE INSTALLED BY SPECIALIZED PERSONNEL ONLY.
Before installing the projector lift, please read the following instructions carefully:
- The projector lift must be used INDOORS ONLY.
- IT IS FORBIDDEN TO STAY UNDER THE LIFT.
- NEVER CONNECT MORE THAN ONE LIFT MOTOR TO THE SAME SWITCHER. Use the supplied switcher
only.
- IN CASE OF MAINTENANCE, UNPLUG THE POWER SUPPLY.
- In case the lift is controlled via relais, take care that the control system is programmed so there is no
tension on the relais for at least 1 sec. during switching between rolling up and rolling down
operations and viceversa.
- Please confirm that your projected image width will fit your screen from your proposed
mounting location prior to installation.
- Incorrect use of the lift, including exceeding the maximum lifting weight, would be dangerous and
invalidate the warranty.
- The manufacturer does not take responsibility for any damage to property or
- personal injury, if the lift is used outside of recommended specifications.
- This product uses a 230V AC Motor. DO NOT attempt to service the motor.
- Incorrect servicing could lead to risk of electric shock.
- For any repairing, please contact directly the dealer you purchased the unit from.
- Check at least once a year that the screws of the steel cables are well tightened and that the steel
cables are in good conditions. In case they have signs of usage or damages, replace them promptly
with the original ones supplied by the manufacturer.

- Mount the lift to the ceiling using suitable wall plugs (NOT SUPPLIED) and verify that the projector lift is
perfectly horizontal using a sprit level. Use shims to level the lift, if required, between the brackets and the
ceiling.
Installing the lift perfectly level is IMPORTANT and ensures silent movement of the lift without any shaking,
jolting or friction that would compromise the alignment between projector and projection screen.
- Once you have mounted the lift, connect the projector lift to the mains using the supplied switcher,
following the instructions on Picture 2G. Lower it till the end stop preset by the factory (approx. 50 cm.);
unscrew the screws as indicated in Picture 2A and 2B and open the brackets according to the height of your
projector, fit in the projector into the brackets and move the brackets along the aluminium profiles (see
Picture 2C) according to the fixing points on the video-projector. Now remove the projector and tighten the
side screws of the brackets, taking care that the distance between the rear bracket and the rear side of the
aluminium profile is the same as the distance between the front bracket and the front side of the aluminium
profile (see Picture 2D)

- Slide the projector inside the bracket and fix it to the brackets using the screws with washers as indicated on the
projector’s installation manual (see Picture 2E).
- Bring down from the ceiling at a length of approx. 30 cm. the power and signal cables of the projector. Collect
these cables using the supplied plastic spiral. Using a wire clamp, fix the spiral and cables to the upper part of
the aluminium profile (see Picture 2F), taking care to guide the cables to the rear side of the projector.
- Fix the end part of the spiral to the rear bracket using the other wire clamp supplied and successively connect
the cables to the projector.
- Warning: set the lower end stop (see instructions here under) for a maximum descent of 30 cm., taking
care that the spiral with cables does not interfere with the mechanism of the lift when it moves up and down.

- The next step is to set the “UPPER END STOP” (CLOSED lift) and the “LOWER END STOP” (OPEN lift).
If the projector lift has been positioned inside a false ceiling, take care to set the upper end stop so that when
the lift is in closed position, the brackets will not touch the ceiling. The “LOWER END STOP” has to be adjusted
so that the image is correctly projected onto the screen.
In order to fix the “UPPER END STOP”:
WARNING: in case the installer needs to modify this end-
stop, it is allowed to lower the upper end stop. Do not try
to high the upper end-stop because this will cause
severe damages to the product and invalidate
warranty on the lift.
- Turn the screw on the motor shown on the picture,
clockwise to lower the lift.
In order to fix the “LOWER END STOP”:
- Turn the screw on the motor, as shown on the picture,
counter clockwise to increase the lower end stop and
clockwise to reduce it. (MAXIMUM ALLOWED
DESCENT CM. 30)
This projector lift SI-30 is supplied with two additional SAFETY SCREWS that prevent the lift to extent further
to the end stop in case of failure of the traction system or of damages on the steel cables.

PICTURE 3A
Once you have fixed the “UPPER END STOP
POSITION”, mount the four sliding brackets with their
screws under the lift frame (see PICTURE 3A). If
necessary, the four sliding brackets can be angled in
the desired direction.
If necessary, cut the threaded bars to the desired
length. Mount the bars to the sliding brackets using
the supplied nuts.
On the false ceiling plate (not supplied), fix in the
right position the four blind screws or the four bushes
provided (point M of the supplied equipment list).
In case you have changed the lower end stop point, set the
safety screws in the right position and proceed as follows:
1. After having set the lower end stop point of the
projector lift following instructions here above, drop
down the lift to the lower end stop.
2. Adjust the safety screws position as shown in picture
here left. In order to do that, unscrew the safety
screws and position it 3 mm. from the scissor’s
sliding point.
3. Fix again the two safety screws on both sides tightly.
