• DO NOT use the power tool or machinery
in raining conditions or wet areas where
the power tool or machinery could get
wet. Water in the power tool or machinery
can lead to electric shock.
• Only use the power tool or machinery
when the plug correctly matches the
power outlet. Modifying plugs greatly
increases the risk of electric shock.
• Keep the power cord away from anything
that could damage it such as sharp edges,
moving parts or heat. A damaged power
cord increases the risk of electric shock.
• Only operate outdoors with the use of an
outdoor extension lead. Not all extension
leads are suited to outdoor use and using
one which is not can greatly increase the risk
of electric shock.
• Avoid body contact with grounded or
earthed surfaces. Surfaces such as radiators,
ranges, pipes, and refrigerators can increase
the risk of electric shock due to your body
being earthed or grounded.

• Use the correct tool for the job. Forcing
a tool to do a job it was not designed for

power, or remove batteries before

This reduces or removes the risk of a power
connection that causes the tool or machinery
to accidentally re, which can help prevent

could aect the way the tool or machine
works. An unrepaired tool or machine can
lead to accident and injury. Only have your
tool or machine repaired with genuine parts

and machinery. Failure to do so could result

Carpet Dryer Specic Safety
Over Heat Protection
• This dryer is tted with a thermal over-
load protection circuit to prevent from
overheating. If an overheat temperature is
reached, the unit will shut o automatically.
Normal operation will resume once the
appliance has cooled down.
• Never place anything on top of the unit and
never obstruct its air inlet/outlet grills (leave
30cm gap around the intake grills to allow
the air to circulate).
• Always switch OFF and unplug the dryer
when not in use.
• Ensure the unit and power socket are
switched OFF before plugging the unit to the
power supply.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, use a
suitable RCD (residual current device).
• Always carry the unit by its handle.
• Before cleaning the unit ALWAYS unplug it
from the power supply, use a soft cloth wet
with soapy water to clean, and then wipe
down with a dry cloth (Do not use ammable
liquids, or liquids which are harmful to plas-
tics and paint).
• Do not submerge the dryer in water, this
may cause an electric shock. To avoid electric
shock do not expose the unit to rain – store
indoors only.
• Do not put any objects into any of the open-
ings, keep them free of dust, lint, hair, and
anything that may reduce the air ow.
• Keep hair, ngers, and all body parts away
from openings and moving parts.
• Do not move or carry the dryer while it is in
operation.
• Operate the dryer on an even and stable
surface to prevent it from falling and possibly
causing accident or injury.
• Do not drop or throw the dryer. Treatment of
this type can cause damage to the compo-
nents and create a hazardous environment.
• Always operate the product from a power
source of the same voltage, and rating as
indicated on the product identication plate.
• Do not operate the dryer with a damaged
power cord or plug, if the appliance malfunc-
tions, or if it is dropped or damaged in any
way.
• This product is intended for normal light
commercial use only.
• Do not attempt to dismantle the dryer.
• Do not operate the dryer on a metallic
surface.

OPERATION
• Ensure the control switch is set to the OFF
position before connecting to the power
supply.
• Connect the main plug to a suitable 230V /
50Hz power supply.
• Switch to Low, Medium, or High speed, as
required for your current job.
• Position dryer on a level, secure surface to
prevent shifting while in use.
• Position the dryer outlet away from the oper-
ator.
• The inlets of the dryer should be horizontal
in relation to the work surface.
• Position the dryer outlets away from walls
and obstructions to provide maximum air
ow.

Grounding Instructions
• This machine must be grounded. If the
dryer should malfunction or break down,
grounding provides a path of least resist-
ance for electric current to reduce the risk
of electric shock. This machine is equipped
with a cord having an equipment-grounding
conductor and grounding plug. The plug
must be inserted into an appropriate outlet
that is properly installed and grounded in
accordance with all local codes.

DO NOT stand directly in front of the
dryer, as you may be hit with ying
debris.

• Have your tools and machinery serviced
at The ToolShed with ToolShed replace-
ment parts. This will ensure that the safety
of the power tool or machine is maintained.
• Please do not dispose of any packaging until
you have checked the dryer is fully opera-
tional and you have familiarised yourself with
the starting procedure.
• Do not leave children unattended with the
packaging as this can create a hazardous
environment.
• The dryer comes pre-assembled and
ready to operate. As a precaution before
operating:
• Inspect all fasteners in case they may be
loose and tighten as necessary.
• Determine all components of the dryer
operate as per their proper function.
• The drying process can result in ying debris.
Eye protection and appropriate PPE safety
apparel is required when near or operating
the dryer. DO NOT operate the unit with
onlookers or animals close by.
• This Dryer is intended for use in moving air
in non-hazardous, non-ammable, non-ex-
plosive environments only for the purpose
of drying damp/wet carpet or other surfaces.
Blowers are not intended for use in extremely
dusty environments.
WARNING
The warnings and precautions
discussed in this manual cannot cover
all possible conditions and situations
that may occur. It must be under stood
by the operator that common sense
and caution are factors which cannot
be built into this product, but must be
supplied by the operator.
• It is not possible to cover every conceivable
situation you can face. Always exercise care
and use your common sense. If you get into
a situation where you feel unsafe, stop and
seek expert advise. Contact your dealer,
service agent, or an experienced user. Do not
attempt any task you feel unsure of!

MAINTENANCE
• Before cleaning or performing any mainte-
nance, you must ensure the tool is switched
o and disconnected from the power supply.
• Compressed air is the most eective way to
cleanthistool.AlwayswearPPEsafetygoggles
when cleaning tools with compressed air.
• Check the carbon brushes of the machine in
the event of excessive sparking.
• Ventilation openings and switch levers must
be kept clean. DO NOT attempt to clean by
inserting pointed objects through openings.
• Do not use chemicals when cleaning this
tool.
• If you discover any damaged or broken parts,
consult your nearest ToolShed for replace-
ments and advise.
• Inspect the electrical cord and wiring for
damage or discolouration.
• Inspect for loose fasteners.
• Clean screens on the side and front of the
unit.
• Listen for abnormal sounds.
• Keen unit clean.
Cleaning
Periodic Maintenance
• Before cleaning, turn the dryer o and
unplug it from the power supply.
• To clean the dryer, use a soft cloth to wipe o
any dust.
• If very dirty, clean by using a damp cloth,
and wipe dry. Do not use any cleaning deter-
gents, sprays, or other chemicals as they will
damage the unit.
• Store the Dryer in a ventilated, dry area when
not in use.
• Used compressed air or a vacuum to remove
lint and other debris from the motor, screen,
and blower wheel. Do not use a pressure
washer to clean the Dryer.
