Riser and Toe-Piece Mounting
Consult the ski manufacturer for all mounting locations on skis.
Use the Voilé Hardwire Mounting Jig or the enclosed paper template and follow the
instruction on the back of the paper template. Make sure the 3-Pin line is intersecting the
diamondshape on the jig or template. Check your drill bit depth before drilling especially
for narrow profile skis. Always follow manufacturers suggested guidelines.
Check the screw length to prevent “dimpling” the base, grind down the tips of the screw if
necessary. Mount theshim directly on the ski using wood glue or epoxy in each screw
hole, following the ski manufacturers suggested guidelines. Press in riser plugs. Mount
the toe-piece on the shim using the 3-hole patter. Glue is not necessary and epoxy will
compromise the integrity of the plastic.
Tech Tips:
1) To prevent thread corrosion on the Hardwire Rods and maintain easy
adjustment Voilé recommends greasing the threads at the end of each
season. For best results use an anti-seize grease.
2) To maximize uphill touring efficiency, lock the heel lever to the heel pad
and walk uphill on the 3-Pin toe with much less effort. This benefit can be
utilized on all Hardwire brand telemark bindings for transporting your skis.
3) Always check to make certain that theHardwire heel assembly is centered
on the ski to maintain even pre-load on the spring cartridges. If the spring
cartridges comeout of adjustment, simply rotate to bring back to center to
maintain adequate loadand maximum performance.

Dual LP Heel Pad Mounting:
Making sure to use the longest wire in the front position, first, install the two climbing wires to the
Dual LP in the down position. Next, position the 2mm spacer under the Dual LP heel pad.
Follow the instructions on the back of the paper template for proper heel pad mounting. Mount the
heel pad so the round contour on the back of the heel piece matches the back of the boot heel. (SEE
FIGURE 4) Take care to position the heel pad correctly to ensure the climbing wires will be centered
under the boot heel and allow the heel lever assebly to be locked down for transport. (SEE FIGURE
5)
Make sure to use included washers with screws when mounting. Slide washer over screw and
mount Dual LP to the ski. The unique slot design allows for small, fore/aft adjustments of the heel
pad. Make necessary adjustments before the glue/epoxy is allowed to set. (SEE FIGURE 6)
