Mounting
The zMicroDV features a versatile mounting system that allows you to attach it to a wide
variety of surfaces. Load the zMicroDV into the belt clip to attach it to clothing, straps and
pockets. Attach the belt clip to the flat mount with can then be attached magnetically to a
metal surface, or attached using the provided mounting screws or adhesive Velcro pad.

The zMicroDV also includes a lanyard for easy carrying and a silicone protective cover. The
belt clip and flat mount cannot be used in conjunction with the silicone case, however the
silicone case has a belt loop for attaching to a belt or strap.
Also available is zMicroDV 80ft waterproof case (sold separately) which features a belt clip
and headband/armband. Place the zMicroDV into the case so that the camera lens lines up
with the round lens cover on the waterproof case and seal the latch. The waterproof case is
available at Zetronix.com.
Operation Guide
1. Charge your zMicroDV by connecting the USB cable to your PC/Mac/Notebook or USB
power outlet. The LED indicator will turn RED while charging and shut off when fully charged.
2. Make sure the micro SD card is fully inserted into the zMicroDV. Power it on by the switch
marked Power. If no micro SD card has been inserted then the LED indicator will flash green
quickly.
3. While the zMicroDV remains charged the indicator stays solid blue and after 2 minutes will
switch to standby mode. When the charge gets low the indictor will slowly flash blue and
after 2 minutes will power off.
4. To record manually once zMicroDV, is powered on press the record button on the top of
the camera. The LED indicator will switch from solid blue to green and flash slowly. If it is in
standby mode then press record once to re-activate (LED will turn blue) and record again to
start recording (LED flashes green slowly). Press record button to stop recording and save
your clip to the SD card.
5. If the LED becomes solid green then the micro SD card is full and you will need to move
your footage to a PC or connect to PC to delete footage.

6. To use sound activation mode, slide the sound activation switch marked Vox into the ON
position. While the camera is in standby mode and a sound over 65 decibels is detected the
zMicroDV with start recording for 2 minutes. If sound continues the zMicroDV will continue to
record. After 2 minutes of silence it will go back to standby mode.
7. To transfer or delete clips from your zMicroDV, use the provided USB cord and connect it
to the MicroUSB connection on the bottom the camera, and a USB port on your Windows PC
or Apple computer and then turn the camera on. The zMicroDV will be recognized as a
storage device (such as a flash drive. You will find a folder on the drive named DCIM, and
within that folder another folder named VIDEO. Your video clips will be found in this folder.
Maximum video size is 800 MB or about 30 minutes. If you record a clip longer than the
zMicroDV will automatically split it into separate files of 800mb.
Caution
If you switch the power to the zMicroDV off while recording, that clip will not be saved.
Setting the time stamp
The zMicroDV can be configured to stamp your video with the date and time as it records.
1. Create a new Text file.
Windows - Right click on the desktop and select New>Text File
Mac – Open the application Text Edit and create a new file
2. Type the date in time in the following format
2015.01.30 12:30:15
The format is the year,day,and month each separated by a period, a
space and then the hour, minute, and seconds each separated by a colon.
The example above is set to January 1, 2015 at 12:30 PM and 15 seconds.
The zMicroDV uses 24-hour time.
Another way is showing this is
YYYY.DD.MM HH:MM:SS
3. Save the text tile as “time.txt”
4. Drag Time.txt onto the zMicroDV

Using the zMicroDV as a Webcam
The zMicroDV can be used as webcam or PC camera on a windows PC.
To use this feature install the webcam driver disc included with your zMicroDV. There is no
driver for Apple computers however some Apple computers will recognize the camera even
without a driver.
Connect the zMicroDV to your PC using the USB cable.
Switch the power switch to on and switch the vox button to on.
Your PC will now recognize the zMicroDV as a webcam.
1 Year Limited Warranty
Zetronix Corporation (“Zetronix”) warrants this product against defects in material or workmanship
as follows:
PRODUCT: Zetronix will repair this product with new or refurbished parts, free of charge, for a
period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase in the event of a defect in materials or
workmanship. REPAIRS: Zetronix will repair or replace defective parts used in the repair or
replacement of this product with new or refurbished parts, free of charge, for a period equal to the
remainder of the original limited warranty period on the original product, or for 60 days after the
date of the repair or replacement, whichever is longer. This warranty is extended only to the original
purchaser. Proof of purchase in the form of a bill of sale or receipted invoice, which is evidence that
the unit is within the warranty period, must be presented to obtain warranty service. To obtain
warranty service, you must take this product, or deliver the product freight prepaid, in either its
original packaging or packaging affording an equal degree of protection, to Zetronix Corporation.
See below for additional information. This warranty only covers failures due to defects in materials
and workmanship, which occur during normal use.. The warranty does not cover damages, which
occurred in shipment, cosmetic damage, damage that is attributable to acts of God, failures which
are caused by products not supplied by the warrantor, or failures which result from accident,
misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, faulty installation, misapplication, improper installation,
operation or maintenance, alteration, modification, introduction of sand, humidity or liquids, line
power surge, improper voltage supply, lightning damage, or subjecting the product to
operating/environmental conditions in excess of the maximum values or below the minimum
values set forth in the applicable specifications, or products serviced by anyone other than Zetronix.
This warranty is invalid if the factory-applied serial number has been altered or removed from the
product. This warranty does not cover products sold AS IS or WITH ALL FAULTS. This warranty
excludes consumable parts such as batteries and power supplies.
THERE ARE NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES EXCEPT AS LISTED ABOVE. REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS
PROVIDED UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE PURCHASER. MYVU SHALL
NOT BE LIABLE FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST
SALES, LOSS OF USE OF THE PRODUCT, OR OTHER INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
RESULTING FROM THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT, OR ARISING OUT OF ANY BREACH OF THIS
WARRANTY. ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND TITLE, ARE LIMITED TO THE
APPLICABLE WARRANTY PERIOD SET FORTH ABOVE.
Limitation of liability
SELLER SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM, LOSS, DAMAGE OR EXPENSE OF ANY KIND,
INCLUDING FOR LOST PROFITS, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR INCIDENTAL
DAMAGES, WITH RESPECT TO THE SELECTION, QUALITY, CONDITION, MERCHANTABILITY,
SUITABILITY, FITNESS, OPERATION, PERFORMANCE, OR THE USE, MAINTENANCE OR REPAIR OF THE
PRODUCTS EVEN IF SELLER OR BUYER HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY THEREOF. THE PRICE
STATED HEREIN WAS ARRIVED AT IN CONSIDERATION FOR LIMITING SELLERS WARRANTIES AND
LIABILITY AS PROVIDED HEREIN.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or
allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above exclusions or limitations may
not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights,
which vary from state to state.
