DESCRIPTION
The 401/411 Micro Optical Network Terminal (ONT) Fiber Tray and Wall
Mounting Bracket (ONT Fiber Tray and Bracket) is used either of the
following ONTs to a wall:
■ADTRAN 401 GigE Micro ONT (P/N: 11321713F1)
■ADTRAN 411 POTS + 1 GigE Micro ONT (P/N: 1287787F1)
The wall mount bracket also incorporates a fiber tray to store excess
incoming fiber should that be required.
Required Tools
The following tools are required when installing the ONT Fiber Tray and
Bracket.
■Power drill (optional)
■Carpenter’s level (optional)
■Phillips-head Screwdriver
■Hammer
Installation Steps
To install the ONT Fiber Tray and Bracket, complete the following steps:
1. Select Location and Mount Bracket.
2. Attach Incoming Fiber Cable to ONT Fiber Tray and Bracket.
3. Attach ONT to Fiber Tray.
4. Connect Incoming Fiber Cable to ONT.
Step 1: Select Location and Mount Bracket
Select a location to mount the ONT Fiber Tray and Bracket near the fiber
entrance. Use the supplied hardware to mount the bracket to the wall as
follows:
gNOTE
Supplied hardware is intended for drywall mounting only. For mounting on
surfaces other than drywall, obtain the appropriate mounting hardware
and follow the provided instructions.
1. Refer to Figure 1 and mark hole locations using the ONT Fiber Tray
and Bracket as a template. Use a carpenter’s level to ensure the
bracket is level.
2. Start anchor into the wall by using a hammer to lightly tap the
anchor in until the threads are close to the wall.
gNOTE
Pre-drill holes using a 1/4” drill bit if difficulty is encountered.
3. Insert either a No. 2 or No. 3 Phillips driver bit into the recess of the
anchor head.
4. Using gentle forward pressure, rotate the wall anchor clockwise until
the collar is flush with the wall.
5. Align the ONT Fiber Tray and Bracket with the anchors. Insert and
tighten the #6 screws until the bracket is secured to the wall.

CAUTION!
Do not exceed a minimum bend radius of 2-inches when installing
fiber cabling.
Refer to Figure 2 and wrap any excess incoming fiber around the
ONT Fiber Tray and Bracket.

Once the fiber cable has been connected, refer to the appropriate LED
table below to ensure the ONT is operating properly.
LED Status 401 GigE Micro ONT
The LEDs are located beneath the plastic housing and are only visible
after power has been applied. The following table provides the LED status
during normal operations.

Step 3. Attach ONT to Fiber Tray
Refer to Figure 3 and position the ONT over the two tabs on the ONT
Fiber Tray and Bracket. Then, press down slightly until there is an audible
“click”.
Step 4. Connect Incoming Fiber Cable to ONT
Refer to Figure 3 and insert the Incoming Fiber Cable connector into the
green Fiber Connector on the ONT.
