These instructions cover the installation and replacement of the AX-CTL Base Card. Refer to separate wiring
diagrams and manuals for installation wiring, operation and programming functions.

Caution: Before installing or removing any printed circuit boards remove all sources of power (AC and
battery).
This equipment is constructed with static sensitive components. Observe anti-static
precautions at all times when handling printed circuit boards. Wear an anti-static ground strap
connected to panel enclosure earth ground.
The AX-CTL Base Card is mounted to standoffs on the rear of the AX-01-BB, AX-02-BB, CCM-01-BB and CCM-02-
BB back boxes.
Installation (see figure 1):
[1] Carefully slide the new AX-CTL Base Card over the five top-hat (screw-less [*]) standoffs.
[2] Secure the AX-CTL Base Card to the backbox with the supplied three (3) screws [p].
[3] Plug in the Molex connector originating from the AX-ACB Board.
[4] Plug in flat ribbon cable originating from the AX-DSP display.
[5] Wire field wiring as indicated in figure 2, and in the product manuals.
Note: Refer to optional AX-CTL Base Card modules (AX-NET, AX-LPD and AX-NAC) instructions regarding
installation.
Replacing (see figure 1):
[1] Remove AC and DC Power
[2] Remove all field wiring terminal blocks and disconnect Molex connecter cable originating from the AX-ACB AC
Board.
[2] Disconnect the flat ribbon cable attached to the AX-DSP Alphanumeric Graphic Display.
[3] Remove any AX-NET, AX-LPD or AX-NAC modules connected to the AX-CTL Base Card
[4] Remove the three (3) screws [p] securing the AX-CTL Base Card to the back box.
[5] Carefully lift the AX-CTL Base Card off the five top-hat (screw-less [*]) standoffs.
