1.
About
The Guia Platinum is a GPS navigation system designed by AG-NAV Inc. for aerial agricultural
application.
It is a state-of-the-art system developed with the combination of latest technologies in GPS,
computers, wired and wireless data communications, and aerial applications.
The Guía Platinum is a highly accurate, real-time navigation guidance system. It uses GPS
signals received directly from a constellation of 24 satellites in orbit around the Earth. This
system can operate in conjunction with differential correction signals.
This help is for Guia Platinum Navigate software version 2.15.4, released in March 2021.
Note that the Guia Platinum is also called "Platinum" for short.

Operations
The Platinum Operation in the Navigate or Training program has two modes: PreFlight and
On-the-fly.
1) PreFlight includes all screens for settings, editing and item selections.
To select an item, tap the item on the screen or use the remote switches to move the cursor to the
desired item.
If using the remote switches , the Left, Right, Up, Down keys are used to move the
cursor. Push the Center key to select, open or execute the item.

On the page that has parameters, to edit a parameter:
Tap the item on the page, then tap the or to toggle through the available options.
If you use the remote switches, the Up/Down keys will move the cursor and the Left/Right keys will
change the option of parameter.
If a parameter has a numerical value,

Tap the or to decrease or increase the value. If the difference between the current
value and the desired value is big, tap to open a virtual keyboard for quick entry.
If using the remote switches, the Up/Down keys will move the cursor, the Left/Right key will
decrease/increase the value.
2) On-the-fly operation starts when the Platinum enters a flight mode: New Area, Spray, Map or
Waypoint. The picture below shows a typical display in the Spray mode.
The Control box shows the functions that you can do. As in the example, the functions are
PrevLL, NextLL, ZoomIn, ZoomOut. The positions of the functions are associate with the keys
on the remote switches. As in the example, Left key does "PrevLL", Right key "NextLL", Up key
"ZoomIn" and Down key "ZoomOut".
Tap the center green button to change the Control Menu, or push the Center key on the remote
switches. The number in the center of the center green button shows the set or Control Menu
number.

You can tap twice on the map window to expand the display.
The Control box is shown at the bottom of screen. Just tap the button to do the desired task.
If using the remote switches, the sequence of keys for the functions is Left, Right, Up, Down.

5.
Navigate/Training
Navigate is a real-time navigation program used to set up a spray area, enter application
settings, and start an application. The pilot will get guidance to fly the predefined lines called
grid lines, and spray the selected area. Navigate uses real time GPS data for position and
navigation.
Training is a program which has all functions of Navigate but real GPS data, i.e.
coordinates, ground speed and heading of aircraft. The GPS data is simulated by using the
Up, Down, Left, Right keys on the keyboard. You can use the Training to learn the functions in
the Navigate program and to get yourself familiar with the Platinum operation before you fly.
To run Navigate or Training, tap the Navigate or Training icon on the Main
Menu, the Navigate – Training menu is shown with the following options:

Application
Tap on the Navigate -Training menu to open the Application menu.

6.1 Application Info
Tap on the Application menu to show application information.
The Application Info has the information that you want to record for each application. The
information will be saved to a text file for post flight review and mission report.
You can select a desired item on Application Information by tapping on the edit box of the item, for
example "Client".
To edit the information, tap to show the virtual keyboard.

Tap the <Clear> button to clear the current entry then enter the new entry. When done, tap
to accept the entry.
For quick editing, you can save all entries to a list, for example frequent clients. Next time you
can select the desired name from the list. To do this, tap to open the clipboard. If the
clipboard already has the item you want, just tap on it then tap to select it. If the clipboard
does not have the desired item, you can tap <Add new item> to add it to the list.

6.2 Weather Info
In Application Info , you can enter weather information.
The "Weather Data Source" can be "Manual" or "Auto". If "Manual", the Wind Speed, Wind
Direction, Outside Temperature and Humidity will be shown for you to enter the data. The
data remains the same until you change it again. If "Auto", the weather data will be obtained
from internet source "Dark Sky". The Weather API must be set and internet access available for
weather data to be read. Platinum will update weather data according to the "Update Interval" in
Weather API Settings. The minimum update interval is 3 minutes. Maximum 60 minutes.
The weather data will be displayed on screen and recorded during flight. The red Windicator
indicates wind direction relative to the body of aircraft.
