operated!by!persons!with!appropriate!training.!

•The!machine!must!be!used!only!for!the!purpose!intended.!Use!of!the!machine!without!the!
safety!devices!is!not!permitted.!Observe!all!the!relevant!safety!regulations.!
•When!gauge!parts!are!exchanged!(e.g.!needle,!presser!foot,!needle!plate,!feed!dog!and!
bobbin)!when!threading,!when!the!workplace!is!left,!and!during!service!work,!the!machine!
must!be!disconnected!from!the!mains!by!switching!off!the!master!switch!or!disconnecting!
the!mains!plug.!
•Daily!servicing!work!must!be!carried!out!only!by!appropriately!trained!persons.!
•Repairs,!conversion!and!special!maintenance!work!must!only!be!carried!out!by!technicians!or!
persons!with!appropriate!training.!
•For!service!or!repair!work!on!pneumatic!systems,!disconnect!the!machine!from!the!
compressed!air!supply!system.!
•Work!on!the!electrical!equipment!must!be!carried!out!only!by!electricians!or!appropriately!
trained!persons.!
•Work!on!parts!and!systems!under!electric!current!is!not!permitted,!except!as!specified!in!
domestic!and!international!regulations.!
•Conversion!or!changes!to!the!machine!must!be!authorized!by!us!and!made!only!in!adherence!
to!all!safety!regulations.!
•For!repairs,!only!replacement!parts!approved!by!us!must!be!used.!
•Commissioning!of!the!sewing!head!is!prohibited!until!such!time!as!the!entire!sewing!unit!is!

SETTING UP THE MACHINE

The!height!of!the!machine!is!adjusted!via!
the!side!screws!as!shown!in!the!Picture.!
The!machine!is!packed!at!its!lowest!
position.!To!raise!the!machine:!
1. Unscrew!complitely!the!middle!
screw!and!loosen!the!side!scews.!
2. Raise!the!machine!on!its!rails!and!
lock!it!by!tightening!the!screws!

The!3!pieces!that!constitute!the!
thread!stand!are!mounted!
together!by!using!the!set!of!
screws!as!shown!in!the!Picture.!

THREADING THE MACHINE
Inserting the Needle
Set!the!needle!bar!at!its!highest!point.!Loosen!needle!set!screw.!Insert!the!needle!in!the!
needle!holder!and!push!it!up!as!far!as!it!will!go.!Make!sure!its!groove!faces!toward!the!back.!
Tighten!needle!set!screw!securely.!!

Looper right-left Movement
When!moving!to!the!left!or!right,!the!tip!of!the!needle!should!be!2!mm!above!the!upper!part!
of!the!needle!when!reaching!the!center!of!the!needle.!Adjustment!is!done!as!follows:!!

§After!the!adjustments,!tighten!the!
three!screws!on!the!same!level!(same!
turning!torque).!

Adjustment!is!made!as!follows:!!
Loosen!the!screw!(A)!on!the!outer!looper!lever!
and!move!the!looper!holder!(B)!forward!or!
backward.!
Place!the!presser!foot!correctly!on!the!presser!
foot!arm.!Make!sure!that!the!needle!down!
position!is!exactly!the!center!of!the!needle!
down!hole!on!the!presser!foot.!Adjustment!is!
done!by!loosening!the!screw!(A).!

Raise!the!arm!(A)!to!feed!fabric!to!the!puller!
or!to!take!fabric!from!puller.!
Turn!the!handwheel!to!make!the!top!end!of!
the!looper!(at!its!far!right!position)!align!with!
the!lower!surface!(C)!of!the!needle!guard!
(rear).!
When!the!needle!and!needle!position!(back)!
is!in!this!position,!set!the!clearance!distance!
(D)!between!the!needle!and!the!needle!
guard!to!0!mm!(the!needle!and!the!needle!
guard!should!not!touch!each!other).!
Adjust!the!needle!guard!(rear)!to!either!
forward!or!downward!by!loosening!the!
screw!(A).!

Adjust!the!needle!guard!(front)!forward!or!
backward!by!loosening!the!screw!(c).!Turn!the!
needle!guard!(front)!in!clockwise!and!counter!
clockwise!directions!by!using!screw!(B).!
For!the!machine!models!KM-910,!KM-920,!
KM-921!and!KM-921-AR,!this!distance!
must!be!87!mm.!
Adjust!the!thread!guide!(E)!so!that!the!distance!
between!the!guide!and!the!upper!surface!of!the!
guide!plate!is!6-7!mm.!Adjustment!is!done!by!
loosening!the!screw!(D).!
As!the!looper!moves!from!the!leftmost!end!to!the!
right,!when!both!tips!of!the!needle!and!looper!are!
aligned!(B),!then!the!thread!must!be!removed!
from!the!looper!thread!take-up!cock!at!the!point!

Adjustment!is!done!by!loosening!the!screw!(C).!
