General:
Always secure the speaker properly so that they cannot fall from their
mounted position.
Always appoint qualified personal to mount and connect the speaker.
Please notice all relevant security-regulations.
Please notice: The back cover for the input-terminal has to be closed be-
fore switching on the mains.
Caution: To avoid fires and electric shocks this system may not be ex-
posed to rain and humidity. Do not use this speaker near water.
Only qualified service-provider can do service and repair.
Only original Aimline spare parts should be used in case of repair.

The Aimline Compact-PA consists of three modules:
The subwoofer with trolley-function and integrated electronics and amps
and two column-speaker modules.
Take the column module, that has one connection unit at the bottom and
the top and place it to the connector at the subwoofer.
Take the column module that has one connection at the bottom and place
it on top of the lower module.
Connection your speaker
1. Connect the Mains with a power-cord
2. Connect the USB-Port with an USB-Port of your computer
The maximum length can be 5 meters.
3. Connect your audio-signal to the ALC compact pa using a XLR or a
jack –connector.
4. Switch on the power.
5. Turn on the master volume control
6. Use the bass volume control to increase or decrease the power of
the subwoofer.
Installation of the Software AIMLINE-Control:
Die file AIMLINE CONTROL .exe is a compressed installation-file for the
software.
Start the file AIMLINE-CONTROL.exe, the installer starts and leads you to
the installation-process. The USB-driver has to be installed as well.
1. To make the connection to the speaker:
2. Be sure all connections are done. Please wait until the driver for the
com-port is installed
3. In the menu “SETTING” choose “CONNECTION”
4. Choose the right com-port for this connection (you can find the
com-port in your windows-system looking for by right-click on
“Computer” > “Properties” > “Hardware” > “Device-Manager” >
“Com &LPT-Ports” to see what Com-port has been installed)
Please notice: Setup the right SCAN RANGE for the device-ID you
have in your network. The device-ID is written on the label of each
speaker on the back.
5. Click o.k. to scan the com-ports. The software does a scan and in
the left side of the software-window under “group” all Aimline-
Columns should appear and be marked with a green dot, showing
they are online.
6. A double-click on one of the online-columns opens the control-
window for this selected column.

You will see three sliders:
1. Slider: Main-Control
•Access to the main-gain (volume)
•Mute the column
•Setting a delay to the column (using the fader or enter the
value numeric in meter, cm or ms
•Activating and setting value for the limiter
•Activating and setting value for the gate
2. Slider: Beam-Control
From here you have access to all parameters for a focussed aiming
of the acoustical energy to where it should go:
•Column Elevation: Enter the value of the bottom-line of the
column to the ground (using the fader or enter the value nu-
merically
•Focus distance: Enter the desired coverage-range for the room
(using the fader or enter the value numerically)
•Focus Elevation: Enter the value for the desired elevation of
the beam (distance from the ground), (using the fader or en-
ter the value numerically)
•Opening angle: Enter the value for the desired opening angle
between 6 and 14 degrees

3. Slider: EQ
In this window a full 10-band-parametric Eq will open.
Here you can make adjustments to the desired sound-settings
matching the acoustic of the room and your individually sound-
wishes.
You can use the fader for each band for the gain, you can choose
the filter-character, you can enter the value for the BW and the fre-
quencies.
You can also use the mouse dragging and pulling the eq-points in
the graphic.

Please notice:
After having done all setting go back to “Main-Control” and click
“Save to device” to store all settings into the column, where the
settings will remain even after disconnecting the power-supply.
The function “save to file” offers you the possibility to save all settings to
a local file on your computer. You can use this file to load all settings back
to a column using “Load from file”.

Using the Software for Offline-Use:
1. Right-Click on “GROUP” in the left window
2. Choose “Add column”
3. Choose a column from the pull-down-menu
4. The chosen column appears under Group, marked with a red dot,
showing this is offline
5. Double-Click this column to make all settings, as shown above.
6. Save your file to use it later loading it into an online-column.
