ADDITIONAL EXPLANATIONS OF SMART TV FUNCTIONS
After pressing the SMART button on the remote control, you will be asked if you really want to
switch to the internet. Select Yes.
The What's New tiles will display the latest shows on YouTube. To watch them, your TV must
first be logged into a network.
To establish a network connection, follow the instructions in the Settings section on the last
row of the SMART TV screen. Move the cursor down the screen to Settings.
3
ENGLISH
SET UP WIFI/NETWORK CONNECTIONS:
1. Under Settings you can activate WiFi or other network connections:
2. Getting set up on the network requires some settings in advance. Later the TV, your smart-
phone, and the router will connect automatically.
4
3. The mouse pointer in the browser is then activated with the Menu key and moved with the
arrow keys.
Use the virtual keyboard to type in your search term (if your TV language is set to English,
.com will be supplied automatically).
NAVIGATING TO AND SELECTING THE INDIVIDUAL APPS
Use the arrow keys, Enter, and Menu on the remote control to navigate. As an example, we will
use the YouTube app, also found on many smartphones.
5
ENGLISH
The app presents certain genres on the left and the videos are displayed on the right. Once you
have selected a video, you can move forward through the options with the right arrow key and
go back with the left arrow key.
The enter key toggles between pause and play.
Pressing the down arrow key will bring up more options.
The up arrow button will cancel the selection and switch to the video.
With Menu, you can return to the list of genres, and with Exit, you will exit the app. Press EXIT
again to switch back to TV mode.
Info: Should the video stutter, turn off the TV at the main switch and turn it back on again. The
respective network will have suddenly switched the DHCP. The first dynamic address will have
disappeared. By switching the TV back on, just as with a PC on a WiFi network, a new DHCP
address will be assigned by the router.
6
SELECTING APPS
Under Apps in the second row, you have access to pre-installed apps.
The ZEASN app is the Linux store for other apps you can use.
The large e is the internet browser. If you select it, you can surf the internet on your Smart TV.
The following functions are available on the last row:
DLNA: Mirroring the screen content of a smartphone (Android)
AirPlay: Mirroring the screen content of a smartphone (iOS)
DLNA: Mirroring the screen content of a smartphone (Android)
Settings: Setting up the network connection (WiFi, ethernet)
Note: In order to use the DLNA/Airplay function, the TV set and the smartphone must be
signed into the same WiFi network.
TIP! If you only want to transfer pictures and videos from your smartphone to the TV, this can
also be done over a small home network. This can be a mobile router or a disused smartphone
that you set up as your own hotspot. You do not necessarily need a public WiFi network!
7
ENGLISH
AIRPLAY: MIRRORING YOUR IPHONE'S SCREEN CONTENT ON THE TV
When you pull up the AirPlay app on the TV, this explanation will display. Now the TV is ready
to receive.
On the iPhone, pull up a photo in your photo album and then activate the AirPlay icon.
8
MIRACAST: MIRRORING YOUR ANDROID SMARTPHONE'S SCREEN CONTENT ON THE TV
Pull up the Miracast app on the TV. When this explanatory screen is displayed, the TV is ready
to receive.
On the Android smartphone (here a Samsung device as an example), click on a photo in the
gallery, then tap the Share icon.
The picture or video will then display on the TV.
9
ENGLISH
TRANSFERRING MUSIC FROM YOUR SMARTPHONE TO THE TV
Use the Source and arrow keys to select Bluetooth and confirm with Enter:
The TV and the smartphone will then connect automatically. Switch on the Bluetooth feature
on your smartphone.
You can use the I< and >>I buttons on the remote to toggle the music back and forth or use
Play/Pause to play or pause the music.
