GUIDELINES CONCERNING THE SAFETY OF USE
The appliance is intended for household
use only.
The manufacturer reserves the right to
introduce changes which do not affect the
operation of the appliance.
lThe kitchen hood was designed for re-
moval of kitchen fumes to the outside.
It should be connected to an appropri-
ate ventilation duct (do not connect the
hood to any chimney, smoke or ue-gas
ducts which are already in use).
lThe safe distance between a cooker
and the hood should be at least 650
mm. If a cooker manual species an-
other distance, this should be taken into
ac- count (g. 2).
l Do not leave an open ame under the
hood. When removing pots from the
burners set the ame to its minimum
level.
lAny food cooked in fat shall be con-
stantly monitored, since overheated fat
can ignite very easily.
l The textile grease lter should be re-
placed, and the aluminium lter should
be cleaned at least every 2 months in
connection with the existing re danger
(saturated fat is very ammable).
lRemove the plug of the power cord from
a wall socket before any lter cleaning
or repair operation.
lIf any other non-electric devices are
used in the same room as the hood
(e.g. liquid fuel ovens, ow-through or
volumetric water heaters), it is neces-
sary to provide appropriate ventilation
(air supply). Simultaneous operation
of the hood and combustion devices is
safe and possible providing the air sup-
ply is maintained at a negative pressure
of not more than 0.004 millibar at the lo-
cation of these devices inside the room
(this point does not apply when the
hood is used as an odour absorber).
lWhen connecting to 230V power supply
network use an electric socket in work-
ing order.
lDo not lean on the hood
lHood should be cleaned every month -
see point “Cleaning” in this manual.
lIf the power wire gets broken, a new re-
placement should be tted a specialist
repair shop.
lSome parts of the hood may become
hot when the appliance is operating.
UNPACKING
lThe device was protect-
ed against damage for
the time of transport.
lPlease remove and dis-
pose of the packaging
in an environmentally
- friendly way. All materi-
als used for packaging are environment
friendly, can be 100% recycled and are
marked with appropriate symbols
Warning! The packaging materials
(polyethylene bags, small pieces
of foamed polystyrene etc.) should
be kept away from children while un-
packing.
RECOMMENDATIONS
lBefore you connect the hood to the
power supply and check whether it
functions correctly, you must rst check
if the wire has been properly installed
and that it has NOT been pinned down
by the hood while it was being mount-
ed.
lThis appliance is not intended for use
by persons (including children) with lim-
ited physical or mental capabilities and
persons who lack experience or famili-
arity with the appliance.
Do not allow unattended children to
use the appliance.
Do not allow them to play with the
appliance.
NOTE: The manufacturer will accept no
responsibility for any damage due to
installation or operation not conforming
to these instructions

INSTALLATION
CONNECTING TO THE POWER NETWORK AND
OPERATION CHECK
After connecting the device to the power supply
network (in accordance with the requirements de-
ned above) it is necessary to check operation of
the motor and lighting of the hood.
SETTING THE OPERATION MODE OF THE
KITCHEN EXTRACTOR HOOD
Setting the air extractor mode of operation of
the hood
In the extractor mode air is discharged to the out-
side by a special conduit. In that setting any carbon
lters shall be removed. The hood should be con-
nected to the opening discharging air to the outside
by means of a rigid or exible conduit of
120 mm diameter, which should be purchased in a
shop selling installation materials.
A qualied installer should be commissioned to in-
stall the connection.
Setting the odour absorber mode of operation
of the hood
In this option ltered air returns to the room through
openings in the front of the hood.
In this setting it is necessary to install the carbon
lter.
Fan speeds
The lowest and medium speeds should be used
under normal conditions and with low concentration
of fumes. The maximum speed should be used in
case of high concentration of kitchen fumes, e.g.
during frying or grilling.
Elements of the hood (Fig. 2):
1. Cooker hood body Aincluding glass, lights, fan
assembly and a decorative bottom masking
frame B,
2. Additional decorative top masking frame C,
3. Air guide F,
4. Top masking frame bracket,
5. A set of wall plugs.
In order to install the cooker hood, perform the
following:
1. Mark the positioning of the cooker hood mount-
ing holes on a paper template.
2. Mark the span of the holes on the wall taking
into account the minimum distance between
cooker hood and the hob’s surface (Fig. 1)
3. Drill holes in the wall using a drill bit with a
diameter equal to that of the wall plugs, insert
the plugs and screw in the screws (Fig. 3 items
Gand H).
4. Suspend cooker hood body (Fig 2. item A)
5. Connect the cooker hood to the ventilation
duct.
6. Connect the cooker hood to the electricity
mains.
7. Install the top masking frame bracket (Fig. 2
item E) at a suitable height.
8. Install the telescopic masking frames (Fig. 2
item Band C)
Install the cooker hood
a) Draw a vertical line on the wall to mark the cen-
tre of the hob/cooker,
b) Hold the prepared paper template against the
wall and arrange it symmetrically with the cen-
tre line, keeping a distance of at least 980 mm
between the holes and the hob. Holding it level,
mark the spacing of the mounting holes on the
wall,
c) Drill the holes marked on the wall using a drill
bit with a diameter equal to that of the wall plugs
supplied (Fig. 3 item Gand H), then hammer
the plugs in and screw in the screws into the
wall,
d) If the cooker hood will operate in extraction
mode, install the appropriate air outlet leading
to a ventilation duct,
e) If the cooker hood will operate in recirculation
mode, then together with top bracket (Fig. 2
item E) install air guide (Fig. 2 item F), which
will direct air ltered by the charcoal lter back
to the kitchen through the lateral outlets in the
top masking frame (Fig. 2 item C),
f) Install the top masking frame bracket (Fig. 2
item E) at a suitable height.
g) Install both decorative masking frames onto the
hanging cooker hood (Fig. 2 items Band C)
and position them as required,
h) Using screws, x the top masking frame (Fig. 2
item C) to the top bracket (Fig. 2 item E)
i) Connect the cooker hood to the electricity
mains.

OPERATION, MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
OPERATIONAL SAFETY
All safety instructions included in chapter IV must
be observed. Textile grease lters and carbon l-
ters should be replaced and aluminium lter should
be cleaned according to manufacturer’s instruc-
tions, or more frequently in periods of intensive use
(more than 4 hours a day). If a gas cooker is used it
is for- bidden to leave the ame uncovered. When
removing pots from gas burners set the ame to its
minimum level. Always make sure that ame does
not extend outside the pot. Such a situation causes
undesired energy losses and dangerous heat build-
ups. The hood should not be used for other pur-
poses than those for which it was designed.
OPERATION
2.1 Control Panel
The cooker hood can be controlled using a control
panel (Fig. 4)
- “-” and “+” touch sensors control cooker hood fan
speed in the range from 1 to 3,
- “+” touch sensor increases cooker hood fan
speed
- “-” touch sensor reduces cooker hood fan speed
- Timer touch sensor activates fan timer (max 90
min.)
- This touch sensor is used to clear the ashing “F
“ or “C “, and also to set the child lock safety device
(details below),
- Lights “L” touch sensor switches cooker hood
lights on/off independently of fan operation. Press
for a short time to switch on/off lights.
Press and hold for approximately 2 seconds to re-
duce maximum light intensity by one level.
Sets the delay time remaining until the fan is
turned off
- This cooker hood has a timer function, which con-
trols fan operation. It can be programmed to auto-
matically switch off the fan after 10 to 90 minutes in
10 minutes intervals.
– In order to activate the timer function set the
cooker hood fan at a required speed by pressing
the “+” touch sensor and then touch the timer
(clock) touch sensor. The display will show a ash-
ing 0 to indicate that timer setup mode is activated.
Now select the delay time to switch off the cooker
hood fan by touching ‘’+‘’, keeping in mind that the
number displayed musts be multiplied by the 10
minute interval
(For example 1=10 min, 2=20 min,3=30 min, and
so on)
– Once the required delay time is set, conrm it by
touching the timer (clock) symbol again. The display
will stop ashing and indicate current fan speed. A
small ashing dot by the value corresponding to fan
speed indicates that timer is counting down.
To cancel the fan timer function, touch the timer
(clock) sensor while the countdown timer is run-
ning.
The cooker hood is equipped with an electronic
lter saturation indicator:
- Replace the charcoal lter – “C” is displayed (220
hours of operation),
- Clean the aluminium lter – “F” is displayed (100
hours of operation),
Neither of these indications affects cooker hood op-
eration, however when C or F is shown, fan speed
indication (0 to 3) is not displayed until the C or F
symbol is cleared.
Once the lter is replaced or cleaned the symbol
can be cleared by touching the timer (clock) sen-
sor.
The cooker hood has a child lock safety device.
This function is also useful when cleaning the cook-
er hood control panel:
- in order to activate/deactivate the child lock safety
device, touch and hold for approximately 3 seconds
the timer (clock) sensor.
Note: The timer function must be acti-
vated within 20 seconds. If no action
is taken the cooker hood will switch to
normal operation mode. Electronics
protected with a 250V-1.6 A fuse / quick
acting (5x20 glass fuse-element).

7

d) Push the upper part of the charcoal against the
grease lter until it latches,
e) Replace the aluminium grease lter.
f) Close the glass panel.
Lights (Fig. 7)
Prolonged use of the product will cause the lamp
temperature to increase. CAUTION: DO NOT
touch lamps as this can cause serious injury and
burns.
To replace the 20W halogen bulb:
a) Using a at screwdriver lever up the ring
holding the glass mounted on the lamp socket
(Fig. 9) and carefully remove it.
b) Replace the bulb, holding it through a cloth or
paper.
c) Replace the glass and the ring in reverse
order.
Note: Do NOT touch the halogen bulb directly with
ngers!
Cleaning
Before cleaning, unplug your cooker hood from the
wall power socket.
When cleaning the cooker hood:
• Do not use a soaked cloth, sponge, or water
jet.
• Do not use solvents or alcohol, as they may
tarnish lacquered surfaces.
• Do not use caustic substances, especially for
cleaning stainless steel.
• Do not use a rough or abrasive cloth.
It is recommend to use a damp cloth and a
neutral detergent.
Aluminium lters may be washed in the dish-
washer. The colour of aluminium lters may
