Ares Tactical Box is a brand new airsoft prop designed by Ares Alpha team. It comes in 4 versions:

Integrate the box in Ares Alpha games.
1. Log on to ares-alpha.com with your credentials (user and passwords are created when you are
installing Ares-Alpha mobile application from iOS Store or Google Play).
2. Define your ATB on My props menu by adding it’s serial number.
3. Turn the ATB on, and wait a few minutes to connect it to ares-alpha servers. You can check ATB
status directly on the website.
4. Define a new map on ares-alpha.com website.
5. Add a new marker, or define a new region around a building for example.
6. Associate your ATB with this marker or region.
7. Save the map and use it on any event created on ares-alpha.com.
8. As Game Master, scan the event QR code to join the game.
9. Scan the ATB QR Code to join it in this specific game.
Don’t forget this step, otherwise you won’t see any updates of ATB on the game!
10. From now on, all players who joined the game can see on the map how the marker or region will
change the color according to the team who conquered the point. Even more, if you are using a
marker for ATB, and it’s embedded GPS is enabled, everybody will track the movement of ATB on
the map. By using these powerful feature, you can have a team using ATB as an advanced
respawn point, deep in enemy territory.
11. All points conquered by each team on ATB, will be shown in real-time to all players who is using
Ares Alpha application.

Configuration of the box
ATB it’s fully manageable directly from Ares Alpha application. Just scan the QR code from your box
directly from Ares Alpha app.

Press SETUP PROP and follow the screen steps:
•Type default admin code: 846637. Wait a few seconds and check the box screen for admin
mode. Don’t forget to change the default admin code !
•Connect your phone to the Wi-Fi hotspot of the box. It should be ares-xxxx
•Go back to Ares Alpha app
•Press CONNECT TO PROP
•Setup the box, save settings, and reconnect your phone to your normal Wi-Fi network.

Game modes
Bomb
Use ATB as a bomb device. You have two teams , one is Attack Team who is trying to arm and
detonate the bomb, other is defined as Defend Team who is trying to defuse the bomb. Each team
will get points for detonate / defuse the bomb. You can use the bomb in different modes(check
bellow parameters). If you press the one of the colored button you will see on LCD the team points.
Bomb mode has 3 modes:
•Keyboard – One Code
The attacking team is arming the bomb by entering one code, the defending team can
defuse it by entering a defuse code.
1. First select the attacking/defending teams colors (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow)
2. Set points for detonation and defuse of the bomb. Attack team will earn the points if
the bomb is detonated, and defend team will earn it if the bomb is defuse it.
3. Set bomb timer: bomb starts to count down when is armed until detonates.
4. Set admin code to reset the bomb to stand by.
5. Set admin code to totally reset the game. Earned points by the teams will be reset to
zero!
6. Also, you can define custom extra points for each team. For example if the attacking
team is entering one extra code, it’s winning more points.

•Keyboard – Two Codes
Comparing to One Code mode, each team needs two different codes to arm and defuse the
bomb. It makes the game more complex, since each team has to find out both codes.
•Key (available only in PRO version)
In order to arm the bomb you need a dedicated key. Once the attacking team is arming the
bomb with the key, bomb starts ticking. Defending team needs to reach the box and turn
the key back in stand by mode to defuse the bomb.

If the box it’s connected to Internet by Wi-Fi or 4G, all players who are using Ares Alpha app, will be
able to track the box on the field in real-time, and check bomb status. Also the points earned by the teams,
will be show directly on Ares Alpha app.

Domination
Classic domination airsoft mode. Use ATB as an objective on the field to capture and hold. Each
team job is to get to ATB, press it’s colored button for a defined period, and start gather points. If an
enemy team will conquer the objective, it’s players will press their color button, and points will start to be
added to their team. If ATB it’s also set up as a Respawn Point, the conquer team will have an advanced
respawn on the battlefield! You can have as much as 4 teams (red, blue, green, yellow) to compete for the
objective.
•Choose what teams are playing in your game
•Set Conquer time: How log you need to keep press the button to conquer the box.
•Set Neutral timer: How log you need to keep press the button to make the box a neutral
area. If a team is already conquered, you need first to make it a neutral one.
•Set points per minute: how many points a team will earn per minute if the box it’s
conquered.
•Use the box, also as a advanced mobile respawn. ATB will keep track of respawn timer, and
loudly beeps when it’s time to respawn.
•Set admin code to totally reset the game. Earned points by the teams will be reset to zero!
•Also, you can define custom extra points for each team. For example if the attacking team is
entering one extra code, it’s winning more points.

Ares Alpha players can see on the map, when a team it’s dominating a zone, and also can check how
much points were earned by each team.

Connection
In order to integrate ATB with Ares-Alpha application, you need a connection to Internet. There are
two ways achieve this, by Wi-Fi or by integrated 4G modem (only in 4G versions). Also, it’s important to
set-up the server update timer: recommended value it’s 120 seconds.
•Wi-Fi mode: If it’s available, you can connect on the battlefield to a dedicated Wi-Fi
network. Also it’s possible to use a mobile hotspot; a lot of mobile providers sell this kind of
devices. Set SSID name and password.

•4G mode: ATB has an integrated 4G modem. You need to insert a nano SIM card with a data
plan in the box, and setup the APN, user and password.
•ATB hotspot: Each ATB has AP (access point) Wi-Fi hotspot, for management purposes.
Default password it’s ares-alpha, but don’t forget to change it!

Info menu
Info menu will show you the serial number, firmware version, and battery level. More
important, you can update your device! We are keep improving the functionality all the time,
create new game modes, or fix bugs, so keep your box up to date.
WARNING: Be sure to update the firmware only when the box it’s fully charged !
Field Tests
On the field, you should check if ATB is connected to the Internet, and if the GPS has a signal lock.
1. Press simultaneous both Red and Blue buttons, and ATB will run a self-test for Internet
and GPS connection. Check the LCD for any error message.
