• Whendrainingthewatertankalwaysdothis
overawatertray,outsidesothatwaterdoes
notdamagethecarpetorooring

Thecoolermustbeunpluggedpriortollingwith
water.Ifyouwishtoconnecttoacontinuouswater
supply,attachthehoseconnectorbyscrewing
itrmlyontothethreadedwaterinlet.
Connecta½”waterhoseandverifythatitiswater-
tightbeforeconnectingtothewatermainsandlling
thetank.Theinternalball-cockvalvewillautomati-
callyshutoffthewatersupplywhenthetankisfull.
Notethatthemaximumpermissiblepressureofthe
watermainsis300kPa.
Thecoolermustbeunpluggedpriortollingwith
water.Thecoolertankcanbelledwithwatereither
throughthewaterinletvalveasdescribedpreviously,
oritcanbepouredthroughthechuteintherearof
theunit.Smallpiecesoficecanalsobeaddedtothe
tankthroughthisopening.
Sufcientwatermustbewithinthewatertank
toallowthewaterpumptooperateandensurethe
supplyofcoolair.Thereisawaterlevelindicatoron
thefrontoftheunit.Ensurethatthewaterlevelis
maintainedbetweentheMAXandMINmarkings.

• Locatetheproductnearanopenwindoworopen
door.Thenopenanotheroutsidewindowordoor
ontheoppositesideoftheroomsothat“ow
through”ventilationiscreated.Itwillnotwork
properlyinaclosedroom.
• Alwaysbeginoperationbeforetheairtempera-
turereachesunacceptablelevels.Duetothelow
runningcostoftheunititismoreeffectivetoleave
theunitrunningduringperiodsofoccupation.
• Oncelledwithwaterandinthecorrectlocation,
connecttheunittoelectricalsupplyandplace
castersinlockedposition.TurntheFANcontrol
tothedesiredspeed,eitherLow,MediumorHigh.
Thiscontroloperatesthefanmotoronly.
• Beforeperforminganycleaningormaintenance,
switchoffandremovetheplugfromthepower
socket.Alsodisconnecttheunitfromthemains
watersupply(ifconnected).
• Afterextendedperiodsofusereplacethewater
inthetankwithfreshwater.
• Thewaterstoragetankmustbedrainedwhennot
inuse:
1.Positionawatertrayatontheoorbeneath
thedrainhole.
2.Unscrewthedrainplugatthebottomofthe
unit,allowingthewatertodrainout.

commercialpurposes(“Warranty”).IfyouwishtoclaimontheWarranty,youmust,
atyourownexpense,returntheproduct,andprovideproofoforiginalpurchaseand
yourname,addressandtelephonenumber,toArlecattheaddressbeloworthe
retailerfromwhomyouoriginallypurchasedtheproductwithin12monthsfromthe
dateofpurchase.Arlecwill(orauthorisetheretailerto)assessanyclaimyoumay
makeontheWarrantyintheabovemannerandif,inArlec’sreasonableopinion,the
Warrantyapplies,Arlecwillatitsownoptionandexpense(orauthorisetheretailer
to)replacetheproductwiththesameorsimilarproductorrepairtheproductand
returnittoyouorrefundthepriceyoupaidfortheproduct.Arlecwillbearitsown
expensesofdoingthosethings,andyoumustbearanyotherexpensesofclaiming
ontheWarranty.TheWarrantyisinadditiontootherrightsandremediesyoumay
haveunderalawinrelationtotheproducttowhichtheWarrantyrelates.
OurgoodscomewithguaranteesthatcannotbeexcludedundertheAustralian
ConsumerLaw.Youareentitledtoareplacementorrefundforamajorfailureand
forcompensationforanyotherreasonablyforeseeablelossordamage.Youare
alsoentitledtohavethegoodsrepairedorreplacedifthegoodsfailtobeofaccept-
ablequalityandthefailuredoesnotamounttoamajorfailure.
3.Whenemptyreplacetheplug.
• Tocleantheexternalhousing,useadampcloth.
Donotuseabrasivecleaningliquidsor
chemicalagents(alcohol,gasoline,etc.)
tocleantheappliance.
• Whennotusedforalongperiodoftime,store
inadry,dustfreearea.
• Theaircoolingpadsmustonlybereplacedbya
serviceagentorsimilarlyqualiedpersoninorder
toavoidahazard.
• Tobeginthecooling/evaporationprocess,turn
theCOOLINGcontrolon.Thepumpmotorwillthen
energizeanddistributewateroverthecooling
pads.Theairmovingoverthecoolingpads
willcreateacoolingeffectafterafewminutes
ofoperation.
• TooperatethelouversturnontheSWINGcontrol.
Thiswillallowtheverticallouverstomove
fromsidetosidedistributingtheairthroughout
theroom.Youcanchangetheairdirection(up
ordown)bymanuallyadjustingthehorizontal
louverswithexternalleversonthefrontrighthand
sideoftheunit.
