AVer AW200 4K Wireless Presenter System used
within a Variety of Video Environments
Steps to integrate the Aver AW200 4K Wireless Presenter with various HDMI and Wireless
Environments (April 2020)
AVer offers a way to share presentations via Wi-Fi or Ethernet with the AVer AW200 4K Wireless
Presentation System. One receiver and 2 transmitter pods are included enabling wireless or wired
streaming of media at up to 4K resolution. It can be used as a standalone wireless presentation
system for your conference room or plug it into your existing network for an integrated user
experience.
AVer AW200 4K Presentation System (SKU: AAW200WPK)
The AVer AW200 Wireless Presenter system has 2 main system components, the AR200 and AP200.
AVer Wireless Presentation Receiver AR200
(2) AVer Wireless Pod Transmitters AP200 (AAWPOD200)
AP200 4K Wireless Pod
USB 2.0 powered
Gigabit Ethernet NIC, supports PoE (IEEE 802.3AT)
HDMI/DP Input
USB Input for iOS devices
Can be purchased separately to expand the system at any point, up to 32 users per
AR200.

The AW200 Packaged Part (AAW200WPK) comes with the following contents:
1. (1) AR200 Receiver with External Antennas
2. (2) AP200 Transmitters with built-in USB cable
3. (1) 5V-1A Universal adaptor
4. (1) 100cm AR200 HDMI Cable
5. (2) 30cm AP200 HDMI Cable
6. (2) 30cm AP200 Mini DP Cable
7. (1) Quick Start Guide
AVer AW200 Installation
Once you have un-packed the AR200 and AP200 devices you will need to connect to your conference
room or setup to verify operation, it can be used in a “Stand Alone” configuration or in a network
“Connected” integrated configuration.

1. First, connect the AVer AR200 Receiver to power with included Power Supply and an HDMI
Monitor.
2. Next, once connected, press the Power Button of the Receiver. *Note: The Corp Network
connection is only needed to access the AR200’s Admin Web Login from company network.
3. Next, you should have a display on your monitor similar to the one shown below.
4. The lower left corner will have IP Address information for the Wired and Wireless connection.
The IP address shown above is the “Default IP” of 192.168.168.1 for the Wireless connection.

5. Next, connect the AP200 to your Windows PC via the connected USB cable. Another option
is to run a PoE Cat5e cable to the table and power the AP200 via PoE (5VDC / 1A).
*Note: You can connect up to (16) AP200 Pods and 32 Users at any given time, but only 4
connections/devices can be displayed on Monitor at one time.
6. Next, press the center “control button” to start the “pairing”, the outer ring color should turn
from Red to White, indicating it has paired.

7. Below is a list showing AVer Transmitter Light Indicators and Status.
8. This concludes the “basic” stand alone configuration for the AW200.

AVer AW200 Typical Installation for Conference Room
There are multiple ways to use the AW200 Wireless Presentation system; below is a typical use in a
Conference room, 7-10 people.

AVer AW200 with Zoom, Teams, and UC platforms
The AVer AW200 can also be used with Zoom, Teams, BlueJeans, UC platforms via an HDMI to USB
converter, like the AVer BU110 converter, (SKU: PTCVBU110).
AVer AW200 with Chromecast
The AVer AW200 does support Chromecast, but does not support multiple sources “Split Screen”
while in this mode. Here are the steps for Chromecast to work; the AW200 needs to be connected
to the internet for this to work.
1. Launch Chrome browser, then select the “Customize vertical dots” next to your login icon
and select “Cast…”.
2. Next, another window will show having the available devices to “Cast” to.

3. Next, select the “Source” that you would want to “cast”, choose either Tab, Desktop, or File.
4. Next, select the “AVerR01_” or SSID that was assigned, it should turn to a blue circle square,
which indicates device connected.
5. Selecting “Cast Tab” will cast the Chrome tab you are currently on, a rectangular grey icon
will appear on the Chrome tab being cast, indicating the tabs content is being shared.
6. If you want to change the “Cast Tab” or change the “Source”, you would have to select “Stop
Casting” to disconnect, select another Tab or Source, then select the AVer device again.
7. Next, to cast a desktop, select “Sources”, then select “Cast desktop”.

8. Next, select “AVerR01_” or SSID assigned to connect, another window will appear, select the
desktop (Screen1 or Screen 2) you want to share.
9. The “Desktop” should now be seen on the monitor or device connected to the AR200 HDMI
output. *Note: Only 1 screen at a time using Chromecast through AW200.

AVer AW200 and adding a Mobile device
There are multiple ways to use the AW200 Wireless Presentation system, adding a Mobile device is
one of them. There are (2) main devices we will discuss, IOS and Android.
iPhone / iPad USB cable
1. Connect the Lighting cable to your iPhone/iPad and the USB connection to the USB port on
the AP200 Transmitter.
2. Next, slide the PC/Mobile switch to the Mobile position.
*Note: While in this mode, the AP200’s USB port is also a “charging” port.
3. Next, plug the AP200 Transmitter to a 5VDC-1A power source. You can also power the
AP200 via a PoE source.
4. Next, a screen should appear on the iPhone/iPad which prompts “Trust this Computer”,
select “Trust”.
5. Next, press the “Pairing” button to “mirror” the iPhone/iPad, you should now have the
display being transmitted to the AR200 and visible on the connected Monitor.

iPhone / iPad via AirPlay
1. Connect iPhone / iPad to the AVer AR200’s SSID via Wi-Fi.
2. Open an App that supports AirPlay, select the AirPlay symbol, you should now have devices
listed that support AirPlay.
3. Select “AVerR01_” or the assigned SSID of the AVer AR200 device, you should now have
Audio and Video being displayed on the AR200’s HDMI output.
iPhone / iPad Screen Mirroring
1. On your iOS device open Control Center, either swiping from bottom of screen up or from
upper right down diagonally, select Screen Mirroring. A window will appear with devices
available to Screen Mirror, select “AVerR01_” or the assigned SSID of the AVer AR200 device.
2. You should now have the iOS device being displayed on the monitor via the AR200 receiver.
3. Next, to end, select “Stop Mirroring”.

Android Device
Adding an Android device can be accomplished, currently due to the limitation of the Android
system, audio output of the Android device is not supported.
1. Visit the Google Play store to download the AW Share App “AW Share”.
2. Connect the Android Device to the AVer Receivers Wi-Fi connection.
3. Next, open the AW Share app; click the AVer Transmitter projection key on the App to begin
projection/transmitting.
USB Connection: Enable USB Debugging on device before connecting to AP200.
1. Go to SettingSystemAbout Phone.
2. Click Build Number 7 times to enable Developer Option.

Android Device
3. Next, go to Developer optionUSB DebuggingOn
4. Next, plug in the USB cable to USB port on the AP200 Transmitter Pod and allow USB debug.
*Note: Select MTP or File Transferring in the notifications when USB is connected.
5. Next, press the AP200 “Pairing” button to connect, verify the PC/Mobile switch is set to
“Mobile”.
6. If AVer AR200 Receiver cannot connect to the device, you will need to do the “Pairing”
setup process again either “Locally” or using a USB Flash Drive, information found in this
document.

AVer AW200 connection with a Touch Screen Monitor
When the AVer AR200 Receiver is connected to a touch screen, follow the connection method
described below to set up return control to a computer. *Note: Not all touch screens are supported;
please inquire with AVer for an updated list of commercial touch screens supported.
Touch Screen Monitor
1. Connect the USB port of the Touch Screen to the USB port of the AVer AR200 Receiver.
2. Next, connect the USB cable from the AVer AP200 Transmitter to the computer and verify
the PC/Mobile switch is in the PC setting.
3. Next, connect the HDMI or MiniDP port of the AVer AP200 Transmitter to the computer.
4. When the screen of ONLY one computer is projected, users can operate the computer
screen from the touch screen.
*Note: When multiple split screens are projected, the return control to computer functions
is not supported.

There are multiple ways to use the AW200 Wireless Presentation system; below are a couple of
typical uses in a Camera Production / HDMI Streaming environment.

AVer AW200 network Connected Configuration
In the previous section we discussed the basic “Stand Alone” configuration, next we will discuss the
network “Connected” configuration and more detail on the Web Login.
Web Login, Admin Setting
5. Connect to the AVer Receiver via Wi-Fi or by the Wired Network connection. You can
obtain the IP information from the AR200 HDMI output or you can use the “default” IP
address: 192.168.168.1 to connect.
6. With your Mobile Device search for the Wireless network devices, in this case shown above
“AVerR01_BF90178B” and connect using the password provided, “66079830”.
*Note: The SSID and Password can be changed via Admin Settings in the AVer AR200
receiver.
7. Another way to connect is to use a Chrome browser on a PC connected to the same subnet,
type in the IP address of the AR200 Receiver, you should see the following.
8. Next, login as “Administrator” by typing in the default password “000000” and then select
“OK”.

9. Next, you should now be seeing an option to change the current default password or an
option to “skip”.
10. Next, you should now be in the “Admin Setting” page of the AR200 Receiver.
11. Next, selecting WiFi Channel allows the selection for which Country, Channel, and
Bandwidth to use.

12. Next, selecting the LAN IP Setting will allow selecting DHCP/Automatic or Static IP for the
AR200, as well as Gateway, Netmask, DNS settings.
13. Next, selecting SSID will enable you to configure the SSID Name, Hide SSID, or Turn Off SSID.
14. Selecting Password allows you to change the Wi-Fi SSID password to connect to the AR200.

15. Selecting My Screen will allow you to change the image that is displayed on the AR200
HDMI initial output, where SSID/Password are displayed. *Note: ONLY a 1920x1080 PNG
photo/image smaller than 2MB in size is allowed.
16. Selecting the AirPlay Setting will allow you to change whether AirPlay is available via the
AR200.
17. Selecting Admin Password allows you to change the Password for the Admin login via a
Web Browser (Chrome).
18. Selecting the Screen Saver will allow you to change the Screen Saver setting

19. Selecting WiFi Enterprise will allow you to upload (3) pem files, CA.pem, Certificate.pem,
and Privatekey.pem. *Note: AR200 supports WPA2 EAP-MSCHAP and WPA2 EAP-TLS
Enterprise security. If “certs” are on a USB drive it can be connected to the AR200 USB
port to be imported.
20. Selecting Fixed Host will allow you to configure the IP setting, DHCP, Fixed IP, and Fixed
device.
21. Selecting ChromeCastSetting will allow you to Enable/Disable ChromeCast.
22. Selecting Castcode Control will allow you to select a Random or Fixed code.
