the junction box in any wmgnient poslbbn on the krrer. furnace, or

Service
The TFA850 2 microprocessor controls are set at the &tory and
requi~ no adluSVnent or peridlc mantenance.
Checkout
. -
Use the fdlowng procedure to check out the f FA850.2 control after
installation.
1. Flame fajlum - shut cif oil supply hand Wve whils burner is on.
The burner should ~rnmediatety shut down, After the lgnition timer
recycles (approxrmately 60 seconds)+ the burner will attempt to restart.
Alter 15 or 45 sezonds depending on rnmel,mrcroprocessor locks out,
lgnlt~on stops, motor stops, and o~l valve cposes. Safety swltch must be
reset.
2 Igntlon andlor fuel failure - $hut Off oil supply whle burner is off.
Run through starting prmedure, do not turn oil valve on. Safety swrtch
locks out as n flame falure.
3. Power farlure - turn ofl paver supply while hrer IS on. When
burner gce out. restore pwr and burner wl restart after15 end
sellcheck delay.
4. If operat~on is not as described,check wiring and installation first.
If trouMe perssts. follow the comptete pmedure for checking out the
TFA850.2 and cad dl printed on the cover insert.
CAUTION:
ONLY A TWINED, EXPEAIWCED SERVICE TECHNICIAN SHOULD AnEMPT THE
CHECKOUT PAOCEDURE GIVEN UN THE INSERT.
Reset Button:
- Presslng the reset bunon during 'MBFEB pockout safely Ilme) causes a
restart w~th approxlmarely 1-4 seconds selfdeck delay
- Pr-lng the teset bunon during the run mode causes a restart w~th
approx~mately 1.4 seconds self-check delay.
- Pwlng the reset bunon dung the recyde mode causes a restan w~rh a full
recycle delay.
- Press~np the rewt button shortly after a safety lockoul occurred cauw a 1 d
mnds self-check delay, and then starts a 60-second scavenging delay

- Pmer OH and on durtng the ' MBFEP (lockout safety t~me) causes a rmart
wth approrr~mately 10-15 seconds self-check delay
- Power off and on dunng recycle mode causes a new Stan of the recycle
pei~od.
- Power off and on during the run mode causes a restart wrth approxtmately
10-15 seconds self-check delay.
- Low vokage thermostat OH and onduring 'MBFEP (lmkwt safety me).
causes the control to go through the 60 second recycle mode delay This
prevents short cycl~ng of the burner
- Low vottage thermostat off and on dunng run mde causes a restan w~th
aaproxrrnately1-4 seconds self-check delay.
