We thank you for buying a Biodom boiler. Please read all the instructions
before installing and using your Biodom pellet boiler. Combustion appli-
ances (hereinafter, "Pellet Boiler” or "Boiler") from Biodom 27 d.o.o. (here-
inafter Biodom) are manufactured and tested in accordance with the safety
requirements of the applicable European directives. This instructions are
for the end users, installers and authorised service technicians of Biodom
boilers. If you have any doubts about the instructions for use, or need any
clarication, please contact the manufacturer or an authorised person
from Biodom 27 d.o.o. directly.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION, USE AND MAINTENANCE OF THE BOILER
Combustion appliances (hereinafter referred to as "pellet boiler" or "boiler") of the company
Biodom27 d.o.o. (hereinafter Biodom) are manufactured and tested in accordance with the
safety requirements of the applicable European directives.
These instructions are intended for end users, installers and authorized repairers of the Bio-
dom pellet stove, which is shown on the title page of this user manual.
If you have any doubts about the instructions for use or need any clarication, please contact
the manufacturer or an authorized person of Biodom d.o.o When doing so, always indicate
the chapter number where the ambiguities occurred.
Printing, translation or reproduction, even if only in part, of the instructions for use is possible
only with the approval of Biodom d.o.o The transfer of technical data, values and specications
from these operating instructions to third parties is not permitted.
IMPORTANT: The appliance may only be connected to the mains by a suit-
ably qualied and authorised person. The connection must be made in ac-
cordance with the applicable regulations.
This device is not suitable for people (including children) with reduced
physical, motor or mental abilities or people with limited knowledge and
experience, when they are not under the control of persons responsible for
their safety or care.
The device is not a toy. Do not leave children unattended near the appli-
ance.
DUAL COMBUSTION SYSTEM
The ame produced by the proper combustion of wood biomass inside the boiler emits the
same amount of carbon dioxide (CO2), as if emitted in the natural decomposition of wood.
The amount of CO2, produced by the combustion or decomposition of wood, corresponds to
the amount of CO2, which the tree obtains from the environment during its lifetime and then
converts it into oxygen and carbon.
In contrast to the exploitation of wood, the use of non-renewable energy sources (coal, heating
oil, gas) releases huge amounts of CO into the air.2, which accumulates over millions of years
and increases greenhouse gases. The use of wood as a fuel is perfectly balanced with the en-
vironment, as wood as a renewable resource is in ecological coexistence with nature.
The principle of clean combustion fully satises all environmental requirements, and Biodom
d.o.o. founded all of its own development on this basis.
What do we understand as proper combustion and how does it work?
Controlling and adjusting the primary air and supplying a secondary airow causes secondary
combustion. This provides a secondary ame that is naturally brighter and stronger than the
primary ame. The supply of new oxygen (via the addition of air) allows the further combus-
tion of gases that have not been completely burned. In this way, there is a signicant increase
in thermal eciency and a reduction in harmful emissions of carbon monoxide (CO), as the
proportion of partial combustion is also reduced. These are the basic features that distinguish
pellet boilers and other Biodom products.

3. PURPOSE OF THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The purpose of the instructions for use is to acquaint the user with all the necessary measures
and equipment necessary to ensure the safe and correct use of the combustion device.
3.1. UPDATES
These instructions reect the state of the art of the product at the time the boiler was manu-
factured.
The instructions do not apply to products that are already on the market with the appropriate
technical documentation and cannot be considered defective or insucient after any change,
adaptation or application of new technologies on newer products.
You should read and follow the contents of this booklet carefully. All the information contained
in this booklet is necessary for the proper installation, use and maintenance of your boiler.
Instructions should be stored carefully and safely. Instructions for use, maintenance and instal-
lation are an integral part of the pellet boiler unit.
If ownership of the unit is transferred to another person, these operating instructions must be
handed over together with the boiler.

If the instructions are lost, you can ask the manufacturer, authorised dealer or service centre
for a new copy.
4. MANUFACTURER'S LIABILITY
By supplying these instructions, Biodom 27 d.o.o. declines any civil or criminal liability, both
directly and indirectly due to:
accidents that have occurred due to non-compliance with the standards and specications
set out in these instructions;
accidents caused by unauthorised and improper use by the user;
accidents caused by changes and repairs not approved by the manufacturer Biodom 27
d.o.o;
poor maintenance;
contingencies;
accidents resulting from the use of inappropriate or non-original spare parts.
The installer is fully responsible for the installation.

4.2. TRANSPORTING AND MOVING THE PELLET BOILER
Pay attention to your safety when moving the boiler.
Before transporting and moving the boiler, which must take place in complete safety, rst make
sure that the load capacity of the transport equipment is suitable. Avoid jeerky and / or sudden
movements of the boiler.

4.3. RESPONSIBILITY OF THE INSTALLER
It is the responsibility of the installer to check the suitability of the installation and piping, to en-
sure air supply for combustion, to ensure the prescribed distances of the heating device from
the walls and other things in the room where the device is installed and the introduction of all
other necessary solutions required.
It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure that the installation of the pellet boiler complies
with the current local legislation where the boiler is installed.
The use of a pellet boiler must comply with the instructions given in the Instructions for use,
maintenance and installation and with all safety standards specied in the local legislation
where the pellet boiler is installed.
The UNI 10683 standard species the duties of an installer. The installer must check:
the type of device to be installed;
suitability of the space for installation of the unit, which is reected in the minimum re-
quired size of the space where the boiler will be built on pellets;
the manufacturer's instructions regarding the combustion appliance relating to ue gas
discharge requirements;
the inner diameter of the chimney, what material it is made of, whether the level or even and
free of obstructions;
height and, if necessary, vertical extension of the chimney;
the existence and suitability of the resistance of the chimney cover;
possibility of outside air supply;
the possibility of simultaneous use of the generator for connection with other equipment.
If the results of all the above checks are positive, installation can begin. Carefully follow the in-
structions provided by the manufacturer as well as applicable safety and re safety standards.
When the boiler has been started for the rst time, a test of at least 30 minutes must be carried
out to verify all the necessary requirements.
When the installation is complete, the installer must provide the customer with the following:
Instructions for use, maintenance and installation from the manufacturer (if they are not
already part of the unit);
required documentation in accordance with applicable standards,
perform customer training to operate and regularly maintain and clean the device.

5. INSTALLATION
The responsibility for the preparation work carried out in the room lies solely with the customer.
Before starting the installation, the installer must check all the necessary legal safety stand-
ards, in particular:
Check that the installation norms for pellet boilers meet local, national and European
standards.
Follow the requirements of this document.
Check that the pipes and air supply are in accordance with the type of installation.
Do not make temporary electrical connections or use unsuitable cables.
Check the earthing of the electrical system.
Always use individual safety equipment and all the legally required protection.
Always leave enough space for maintenance work.
To connect the boiler to the chimney, it is necessary to obtain the consent of a chimney
sweep.
After installation, measure the ue gas emissions.
5.1. PLACEMENT
It is recommended to remove the packaging of the pellet boiler when the boiler is located
where it will be installed.
If adjacent walls and / or oors are made of non-heat-resistant material, adequate protection
must be provided and insulation made of non-combustible material must be used.
To protect a oor that is made of combustible material, we advise you to place a metal plate
3 to 4 mm thick under the boiler, which exceeds the depth of the boiler on the front by at least
30 cm.
The pellet boiler should be installed in accordance with the sketch, which denes the distances
from the walls(Figure 1).
If the boiler is installed in a boiler room, where air extraction devices are already located, (other
boilers, various intake fans, etc.) make sure that the volume of supply air is large enough for the
safe operation of the combustion device.
If the chimney goes through the ceiling, it must be adequately insulated with a diaphragm
made of non-combustible insulating material.
When the pellet boiler is being put in its nal position, it must be levelled with the support feet
(placed in a horizontal position).

The ue gas outlet MUST NOT BE CONNECTED TO:
Exhaust pipe that is used by other combustion appliances (boilers,
stoves, replaces, etc.);
Ventilation systems (hoods, vent fans, etc.).
It is forbidden to install chimney draft stabilisers!
Chimney connection Ø80mm from the pellet boiler to the chimney should
be:
maximum 5m long (in the case of a longer connection, the dimension of
the connecting pipe should be increased to Ø130mm);
each elbow at a 90 ° angle requires a 1m shorter chimney connection;
each elbow must be tted with a cleaning door;
the joints between the connecting pipes must be sealed.
If there is too much resistance in the exhaust system (many elbows,
unsuitable terminals, bottlenecks, etc.), ue gas discharge is impeded, so it
is necessary to increase the diameter of the connecting pipes and elbows,
i.e. to Ø130 mm. Similarly, where the chimney does not allow the proper
discharge of ue gases, it may result in a malfunction and trigger the alarm
of the boiler Biodom 27 A. It is recommended that the chimney be inspect-
ed by a professional before installation of the Biodom 27 A boiler.
The ue gas exhaust system from the pellet boiler works on the basis of the under-pressure in
the boiler and the slight over-pressure pressure in the ue connection pipe Ø80mm. It is very
important that the ue gas outlet be sealed.
It is necessary to analyse the layout and structure of the room where the chimney is located.
If it passes through a wall and / or roof, it must be properly installed in accordance with re
safety standards.
Make sure there is sucient air supply in the room where the pellet boiler installed, for proper
combustion. If the Biodom 27 A boiler lacks sucient oxygen-air, an alarm will appear on the
boiler. For external intake or outside air supply you need a pipe with a diameter of at least
110mm and a maximum length of 10m. For every elbow at an angle of 90 ° it is necessary to
deduct 1m from the length. If the air intake is longer, the diameter of the air supply pipe must
be increased.
In the case of a grille on the façade, the intake opening must be 100 cm² or larger.
The device operates at 220V-50Hz. Check that the electrical cables are not located under the
boiler and that they are far away from hot surfaces and do not touch sharp parts that can
damage them. If the pellet boiler operates under excessive voltage, the service life of electrical
components is much shorter.
Never switch off the boiler by unplugging the electrical cable from the
socket while the boiler is still operating. This can damage the boiler and
seriously jeopardise its proper operation.

5.2. FLUE GAS EXTRACTION
The ue gas discharge must be in accordance with the applicable regulations. Flue gas pipes
should not be connected together with exhaust pipes from any other combustion appliance(-
Figure 2). It is not permitted to discharge the ue gases into closed and / or semi-enclosed
spaces such as: garage, narrow passages or corridors, underpasses or any other similar prem-
ises. If the chimney connection is not suitable, the installation must be carried out in accord-
ance with the requirements described above (point 3.1).

The chimney must be earthed in accordance with the applicable regula-
tions. (Earthing connection may be required by local legislation).
The earthing must be independent of the combustion unit.
As for dimensions and the material from which it is made, a chimney must comply with stand-
ards UNI 9615- 9731, UNI 10683 - EN1856-1.
Chimneys that are in poor condition and / or made of unsuitable material (asbestos, galvanised
sheet metal, etc., with a rough or porous surface) are inconsistent with the law and endanger
the operation of the boiler.
Smoke can be discharged through a traditional chimney (see picture below) provided that the
following rules are followed:
Check the state of chimney maintenance. Contact the chimney sweep for proper mainte-
nance and / or renovation.
The ue gas outlet can be routed directly to the chimney only if it has maximum dimen-
sions of 20 x 20 cm or a diameter of 20 cm and is equipped with an opening for inspection.
In case the chimney is of larger dimensions, it is necessary to insert a stainless steel pipe
(with the required diameter), which is correctly insulated.
Make sure that the connection to the chimney is properly sealed.
Avoid contact with combustible material (such as wood charcoal, etc.), and in any case
insulate them with re-resistant material.
When using connections between the pellet boiler and the chimney, it is mandatory to use
elbows with cleaning doors(Figure 3). Using elbows with cleaning doors allows regular clean-
ing without having to dismantle the pipes. The exhaust gases in the chimney connection are
slightly below pressure, so it is mandatory to check that the doors for cleaning the ashes are

completely hermetically sealed and remain so after any cleaning. Make sure everything is put
together correctly again and check the condition of the seal.

The connection between the pipes should always be with the male connection facing down(-
Figure 4).
It is advisable to avoid prolonged horizontal pipe connections to the chimney. If this is not pos-
sible, the pipes should not be placed at a downward angle, but at an upward slope of at least
5%.(Figure 5). The horizontal placement of the pipe should not exceed 2m in length.
It is not recommended to run the pipes from the pellet boiler directly to the chimney with a
horizontal pipe longer than 1m.

5.3. INSULATION AND DIAMETER OF HOLES IN THE ROOF
When the position for installing the boiler is known, it is necessary to make a hole for the pas-
sage of the ue pipes. This varies depending on the type of installation, the diameter of the
chimneys and the type of wall or roof through which it must be led. The insulation must be of
mineral origin (rock wool), with a nominal density of more than 80 kg/m2.
The perfect draft depends mainly on the chimney, which must be free of obstacles such as
bottlenecks and / or various corner connectors. The elbows should be at an angle of 30 °, 45 °
or 90 °. The 90 ° elbows should be in three parts(Picture 6).
