1_Components of the SHX Tablet

2_Configuration of the SHX Tablet
The product is ready and configured for use; there is no need to perform any additional
configuration tasks.
Please read the whole manual to familiarise yourself with the
characteristics before using the device.
1.1_Contents
Unpack the products from their boxes and check the contents. Together with the SHX tablet
there should be an adapter and a micro USB cable, and an owner's manual, it also contains
a Wi-Fi router-modem with network cable and user manual and a third packet contains a
cover for the tablet.
If you find any damage or any material is missing when you unpack the kit, please contact
your distributor for assistance. Any damage or breakage caused during transport must be
notified within three days of receipt.

2_ Instructions for use
2.1_SHX Tablet
The SHX tablet is ready to use, so you just have to turn on the tablet, the router-
modem and the SHX system PC. When you start the tablet, the screen will display a
login image, if the router-modem is not configured to access the centre's network
(which is not essential), a message will appear indicating that it is not possible to
connect to the Splashtop server. Click on the OK button and a list of PCs connected to
the SHX network will appear, generated with the modem-router that comes with the
SHX tablet.

IMPORTANT: if you accidentally log out of the Splashtop program you will need to
start it again by temporarily connecting to the internet via the device from which you
have logged out.

2.2_Central Rack SHX
On the Central Rack SHX PC there is an application installed and configured that will
allow the SHX tablet to connect to the PC via a remote desktop, this application is
configured for use and starts automatically so you do not need to perform any
additional tasks, in any case, if the configuration has been lost you should carry out the
following:
To obtain the Username and password please see the documentation supplied with the
SHX tablet.
Select: Play sound only on this computer (uncheck the other options)

IMPORTANT: If you accidentally log out of the Splashtop program you will

2.3_Modem-router
The modem-router is configured to create a SHX virtual network and you should
consult the information included in the SHX tablet box to see the network username
and password. If you want a network connection with Internet access, the centre's IT
department will need to configure the modem-router with the centre's specific
parameters for internet access.
IMPORTANT: For correct access to the remote desktop the modem-router must be
physically connected to the SHX rack PC via the RJ45 network cable and the tablet

connected to the Wi-Fi network generated with the modem-router of the SHX system
(see the documentation supplied with the SHX tablet).
3_Cleaning and Maintenance
Clean the surface of the tablet with a soft cloth; do not use chemical or abrasive
products.
4_Regular Inspections
The product should always be used under adult supervision.
A periodic inspection of the devices is recommended, if any faults are detected contact
your distributor for assistance.
5_Safety Guidelines
Correct and supervised use of this equipment will ensure it can be used for a long time.
The SHX Sun is designed to create an optical effect, it is not designed for direct use
with users so it should never be shaken, overturned or hit with hard objects.
IMPORTANT: Never leave users without adult supervision while using this product.
Suitable for use in therapies with several users simultaneously.
