MK-2 RECESSED MOUNTING KIT
INSTRUCTION MANUAL
1TECHNICAL DATA
1.1 General
MK-2 Recessed Mounting Kit is used to secure a smoke or heat Bolid detector DIP-34A-03, DIP-34A-04, DIP-34PA-03, S2000-IP-03, or
S2000-IP-PA-03 to a suspended ceiling tile. Please refer to the manual of the relevant detector for detector descriptions and installation and
operation instructions.
1.2 Specifications
1.2.1 Overall dimensions:
-Outer diameter: 130 mm.
-Inner diameter: 102 mm.
-Height: 116 mm.
1.2.2 Cut-out diameter: 106 to 116 mm.
1.2.3 Weight: 0.1 kg max.
1.2.4 Content of precious materials: not subject to inventory accounting in case of
storage, disposal and recycling (Clause 1.2 of Russian Standard GOST
2.608-78).

2OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
2.1 MOUNTING
2.1.1
The MK-2 is to be secured into the suspended ceiling by means of hold down brackets (see 1 below).
Select the place on the ceiling to secure the detector.
Then cut out a 106mm to 116mm diameter hole in the intended
area.
Pass the wiring through the mounting hole. Insert the detector
mounting base into the flange aligning the longer match mark on
the base with the longer match mark on the flange.
Align the slotted holes of the base with holes on the flange,
insert screws provided into holes, and fix the base into the flange.
Lift the spring brackets vertically and holding them in this
position insert the flange into the mounting hole; then release the
brackets. Connect wiring to the terminals as per the project design and
as described in the detector instruction manual.

Insert the detector into the mounting base aligning the match
mark on the detector with the shorter match mark on the flange and

alignes with the longer match mark on the flange

2.2 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
2.2.1 Safety measures while working with the MK-2 at the place of its installation should
comply with the rules of labor protection while working at heights.
2.3 MAINTENANCE
2.3.1
Maintenance is not required.
3WARRANTY
3.1
The average lifetime of the MK-2 is at least 10 years.
3.2
The manufacturer warrants its product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for 18
months since putting it into operation, but no more than 24 months since the acceptance date.

22, 2008) and has Conformity Certificate №С-RU.ЧС13.В.00149.
4.2.
Production of MK-2 has Conformity Certificate GOST ISO 9001–2011 №РОСС RU.ИК32.К00153.
5ACCEPTANCE CERTIFICATE
MK-2 Mounting Kit is qualified as proper for operation and packaged by CJSC NVP “Bolid” as per requirements of actual engineering
documentation.
