ʑChildproof lock (Programm e will not be changed by accidental operation.
To activate the childp roof lock:
 After the programme starts or fin ish in time being activated apage 6, press an d hold the
(button for 5 seconds;
 Re lease when the (symbol lights up. If button signal is on, an acous tic signal will be heard.
When the programme e nds, is displayed, but th e door is locked, (symbol and the
Start/Reload indicator remains on to remind you to deact ivate the childproof lock .
To deactivate the childproof lock:
 Touch th e (button until the (sym bol turns off.
 Release t he (button.
(symbol flashes if the programme ha s been changed while childp roof lock is activated. The
original programme will go on running. If the childpr oof lock is deactivate d while the
programme selector is on a different posit ion from when the childproof lock was activated ,the
running programme wi ll be halted.

Low spin speed will influnce the spin effect of the laundry. You
can select Spin programm e to get satisfactory spin effect
before they are aired.

For starting or pausing the programme wi th the function of adding laundry in the p rocess.

Drum light is installed at the top of drum, it lights up when the door is o pened or closed, convinient to add or remove

Sort and load the laundry 1
Observe the care information p rovided by the manuf acturer!
Sort according to the inform ation on the care labels.
Sort according to type, colour, soiling and tem perature.

Remove any foreign objects - risk of ru sting.

Close the washing ma chine door. Take care not to trap any items of
clothing between the loa ding door and rubber se al.

Amount of laundry, soiling, wat er hardness (ask your wat er supply
company) and man ufacturers instructions.
Models without insert for liq uid detergent: pour liqui d detergent into an
appropriate dispenser and place in the drum.
During operation: close th e detergent drawer.

 The washing machine is not to be us ed by
children or person not famili ar with the operating
instructions.
 Install and operate the washing machine in a
room with a drain.
 Do not w ash the carpet.
 In order to ensure your safety, yo u must plug the
cable into a socket which conncted with reliable
earth correctly.
Dilute viscous fabric softe ner and fabric conditione r with water.
This prevents blockages.

You can change the spin speed and temperature beforehand and while t he selected programme is running.
The effects depending on the progress of t he programme, for example, the spin speed cannot be changed
when the spin programme is runing, the default temperature cannot be changed wh en the machine is
heated.

You can change the indicat ed washing temperature. The maximum washing tempe rature which can be
selected depends on the programme that has been chosen apage 7.
Finish in When you select a programme, th e respective programme duration is displayed. You can delay t he start of
the programme before it begins. The finish-in time indicates when theprogramme will be finished. It can be
set in hour increments up to a maximum of 24h. Press and hold the (Finish in) but ton until the required
number of hours is shown (h=hour). Select S tart/Relaod.
Spin You can change the indicated spin speed. The maximum spin speed whic h can be selected depends on
the chosen programme. If is selected, the load is he ld in the rinsing water.

Automatic load detection:Automatica lly
detects the load size a fter water inlet phase and sets
accurate remaining time. Symbols indicate sma ll, middle
and full loads meas ured* according to the recommen ded
max. load of the selec ted programme.

and not for other programme s or water in the drum
originally; Different types of textiles with differen t water

Before the programme starts, the max.recommanded load is
displayed when opening th e door; remaining time and finish-

Safety instructions
 Read and follow the o perating and installation instruc tions and all other information
enclosed with the washing machine.
 Retain documents for subseq uent use.
Risk of electric shock  Nev er pull out the mains p lug by tugging the power c ord.
 Never insert/pull out the mains plug with damp hands.
 Make sure the cable is pluged into a socket which connc ted with
reliable earth correctly.
Danger to life F or worn-out appliances:
 Pull out the mains plug.
 Sever the power cord and discard together with the plug.
 Destroy the lock on the washing machine door.
This will prevent children from lock ing themselves and risking
their lives.
Risk of suffocation  Keep packaging, plastic film and pack aging parts out of the reach
of children.
Risk of poisioning  Keep detergents and ca re products out of the reach of children.
Risk of explosion  Items of laundry pretreated with cleaning agents containing

Important information
Preparing/Protect ing the laundry and the mach ine
 Empty pockets.
 Remove metal parts (p aper clips, etc.).
 Turn inside out, e.g. knitwear, trouse rs, T-shirts and sweatshirts.
 Make sure that the wire-cup bras are machine washable.
 Wash delicates in a net/bag (tights, curtains, underwire d bras).
 Fasten zips, do up a ny buttons.
 Brush sand out of pockets and collars.
 Remove curtain fittings or place in a laundry bag.
Before washing for the first time
Do not put any laundry in the washin g machine! Turn on the tap, fill approx.1 litre o f water and
then pour ½ mea suring cup of detergent into dispenser II. Set th e Drum clean 40 °C
programme and select Start/Reload. At th e end of the programme set the pr ogramme
selector to ÂOff.
Laundry with diffe rent degrees of soilin g
Wash new items separately.
Light Do not pr ewash.
If required, pretreat stains. Select Power 60 or Prewash addition al
function.
Heavy Load less laundry. Prewash.
Select Power 60 or Prewash additional function.
Soaking Load laundry of the same colour
Add the appropriate dose d etergent into dispenser II ac cording to manufactors instru ction,
set the Power 60 30°C program me and select Start/Rel oad. After 10 minutes, select Start/
Reload for soaking the laundry. When ti me is up, select Start/Reload to continue th e
programme or select other wa shing programmes according to textiles.
Starching Laundry mus t not be treated with fab ric softener
Take starch suitable for 15 lite r water and make it into l iquid starch in accordance with t he
manufactures instructions. Set the p rogramme to Rinse. Select spin speed and then Start/
Reload. Add starch to disp enser I as soon as water flows into the machine.
Dyeing/bleaching
Do not dye/bleach laundry in th e washing machine.
Down Laundry must not be treated with fabric softener
Special programme for w ashable clothes filled with down. Only wash down clothes, no down
pillows or bedding. Wash large items seperately. Dose detergen t economically. Then dry the
down in dryer machine to av oid agglomeration.

1. Pull out the drawer up to t he stop position, press down th e latch on the
insert and remove th e drawer completely .
2. Remove insert: pull in sert upwards with finger.
3. Clean the detergent dispenser a nd the insert with water and a brush.
4. Refit the insert and secure in place (the cylinder should fit over the guide
pin).
5. Insert the detergent drawe r.
Leave detergent drawer op en so that residual wa ter can evaporate.
Drum
Leave washing machine door op en after washing so that the drum can dry out.
Rust stains  use chlorin efree cleaning agent, not steel wo ol.
Descaling No laundry in the machine!
This should not be necessary if the detergent is d ispensed correctly. However, follow the
instructions of the descaler manufacturer.
Information on the display
Please close the door immediately because of rising water level; in pause status,
and are displa yed alternately.
Door is locked due to safety r easons (water level and/or te mperature are too high); in
pause status, and are displayed a lternately. If you need t o open the door,
wait for the temperature to drop or drain the water (e.g. select Spin programme).
Door cannot be locked/unlocked due to high temperature of the door lock. Wait a mo ment
and try again.

Inlet filter blocked ? Clean filter apag e 11.
Supply hose kinked or blocked ?
The symbol flashes, indicating the laund ry inside are unbalanced. The washing
machines unbalanced load detecti onsy stem can not adjust the imbalance.To protect the
mechanical systems, the ma chine will not achieve the highest spin speed, and the laun dry
can not be spinned completely. Please wash small and large items of laundry together.

Maintenance
Drain pump blocked
Set programme s elector to ÂOff, pull out the mai ns plug.
1. Open service flap.
2. Take the drainage hose out o f the holder.
3. Remove sealing cap , allow detergent solution to flow out. Have a s uitable
container ready.
Push up the closing cap and place t he drain hose back in its holder.
4. Carefully unscrew the pu mp cover (Caution! residual w ater).
Clean the interior, pump cover thread and pump housing (fan impeller
in the detergent-solution pump must rotate).
5. Reinsert and screw on pump cover. Handle should be v ertical.
6. Close the service flap.
To prevent unused detergent from flowi ng into the outlet during the next
wash: Pour 1 litre of water into dispenser II and start the Spin programme.
Filter blocked in wat er inlet hose
Release water pressure in the supply hose :
1. Turn off the tap!
2. Select any p rogramme (except Spin).
3. Press Start/Reload button. Leave p rogramme for approx. 40 seconds.
4. Set programme s elector to ÂOff. Pull out the mains plug.
Clean the filter:
5. Disconnect the hose from th e water tap.
Clean filter with small brush.
or
remove hose from the rear of the app liance.
Take out filter with pliers and clean.
6. Connect the hose an d check for leaks.

 Turn off the tap and call the after-sales services.

Emergency release e.g. in t he event of powe r failure
If power cut when programme is running, th e safety device will lock
the door to avoid water flow out of the machine.
 The program me will continues to run when the power is restored.
The laundry can be removed when the programme ended.
 Rel ease emergency release to open the door if the laundry need to
remove immediately!
Risk of scalding.
The detergent solution and laundry may be hot.
If possible, leave it to cool down.
Do not reach into the drum if it is s till rotating.
Do not open the washing machine door if water can be seen
through the glass.
 Set th e programme selector to ÂOff and disconnect the mains plug.

 Pull the eme rgency release with a tool and release. The washing
machine door can then be open ed.

ʑChildproof lock (Programme will not be changed by accidental operation.
To activate the childproof lock:
 After the programme starts or finish in time being activated apage 6, press and hold the
(button for 5 seconds;
 Release when the (symbol lights up. If button signal is on, an acoustic signal will be heard.
When the programme ends, is displayed, but the door is locked, (symbol and the
Start/Reload indicator remains on to remind you to deactivate the childproof lock.
To deactivate the childproof lock:
 Touch the (button until the (symbol turns off.
 Release the (button.
(symbol flashes if the programme has been changed while childproof lock is activated. The
original programme will go on running. If the childproof lock is deactivated while the
programme selector is on a different position from when the childproof lock was activated, the
running programme will be halted.

Low spin speed will influnce the spin effect of the laundry. You
can select Spin programme to get satisfactory spin effect

ʑOption buttons
You can change the spin speed and temperature beforehand and while the selected programme is running.
The effects depending on the progress of the programme, for example, the spin speed cannot be changed
when the spin programme is runing, the default temperature cannot be changed when the machine is
heated.
Temp. °C
You can change the indicated washing temperature. The maximum washing temperature which can be
selected depends on the programme that has been chosen apage 7.
Finish in When you select a programme, the respective programme duration is displayed. You can delay the start of
the programme before it begins. The finish-in time indicates when theprogramme will be finished. It can be
set in hour increments up to a maximum of 24h. Press and hold the (Finish in) button until the required
number of hours is shown (h=hour). Select Start/Relaod.
Spin You can change the indicated spin speed. The maximum spin speed which can be selected depends on
the chosen programme. If is selected, the load is held in the rinsing water.
ªWashing:On if wash process is running.
«Rinse:On if rinse process is running.
Spin:On if spin process is active.
+Water tap:Flashing if tap not open or no water supply.
Door:On if door can be opened.
Overdosage:On if too much detergent used.
Automatic load detection:Automatically
detects the load size after water inlet phase and sets
accurate remaining time. Symbols indicate small, middle
and full loads measured* according to the recommended
max. load of the selected programme.
( Automatic display of the detected load only for washing
programmes with a max. load recommendation > 3.0 kg,
and not for other programmes or water in the drum
originally; Different types of textiles with different water
absorption rates may influence the load display.)
Before the programme starts, the max.recommanded load is
displayed when opening the door; remaining time and finish-

Safety instructions
 Read and follow the operating and installation instructions and all other information
enclosed with the washing machine.
 Retain documents for subsequent use.
Risk of electric shock  Never pull out the mains plug by tugging the power cord.
 Never insert/pull out the mains plug with damp hands.
 Make sure the cable is pluged into a socket which conncted with
reliable earth correctly.
Danger to life For worn-out appliances:
 Pull out the mains plug.
 Sever the power cord and discard together with the plug.
 Destroy the lock on the washing machine door.
This will prevent children from locking themselves and risking
their lives.
Risk of suffocation  Keep packaging, plastic film and packaging parts out of the reach

Important information
Preparing/Protecting the laundry and the machine
 Empty pockets.
 Remove metal parts (paper clips, etc.).
 Turn inside out, e.g. knitwear, trousers, T-shirts and sweatshirts.
 Make sure that the wire-cup bras are machine washable.
 Wash delicates in a net/bag (tights, curtains, underwired bras).
 Fasten zips, do up any buttons.
 Brush sand out of pockets and collars.
 Remove curtain fittings or place in a laundry bag.
Before washing for the first time
Do not put any laundry in the washing machine! Turn on the tap, fill approx.1 litre of water and
then pour ½ measuring cup of detergent into dispenser II. Set the Drum clean 40 °C
programme and select Start/Reload. At the end of the programme set the programme
selector to ÂOff.
Laundry with different degrees of soiling
Wash new items separately.
Light Do not prewash.
If required, pretreat stains. Select Power 60 or Prewash additional
function.
Heavy Load less laundry. Prewash.
Select Power 60 or Prewash additional function.
Soaking Load laundry of the same colour
Add the appropriate dose detergent into dispenser II according to manufactors instruction,
set the Power 60 30°C programme and select Start/Reload. After 10 minutes, select Start/
Reload for soaking the laundry. When time is up, select Start/Reload to continue the
programme or select other washing programmes according to textiles.
Starching Laundry must not be treated with fabric softener
Take starch suitable for 15 liter water and make it into liquid starch in accordance with the
manufactures instructions. Set the programme to Rinse. Select spin speed and then Start/
Reload. Add starch to dispenser I as soon as water flows into the machine.
Dyeing/bleaching
Do not dye/bleach laundry in the washing machine.
Down Laundry must not be treated with fabric softener
Special programme for washable clothes filled with down. Only wash down clothes, no down
pillows or bedding. Wash large items seperately. Dose detergent economically. Then dry the
down in dryer machine to avoid agglomeration.

Care

 Wipe with a soft, damp cloth.
 Do not use abrasive detergents.
 Immediately remove laundry and cleaning agent residues.
 Do not clean the appliance with a water jet.
Clean the detergent drawer ...
... if it contains detergent or fabric softener residue.
1. Pull out the drawer up to the stop position, press down the latch on the
insert and remove the drawer completely .
2. Remove insert: pull insert upwards with finger.
3. Clean the detergent dispenser and the insert with water and a brush.
4. Refit the insert and secure in place (the cylinder should fit over the guide
pin).
5. Insert the detergent drawer.
Leave detergent drawer open so that residual water can evaporate.
Drum
Leave washing machine door open after washing so that the drum can dry out.
Rust stains  use chlorinefree cleaning agent, not steel wool.
Descaling No laundry in the machine!
This should not be necessary if the detergent is dispensed correctly. However, follow the
instructions of the descaler manufacturer.
Information on the display
Please close the door immediately because of rising water level; in pause status,
and are displayed alternately.
Door is locked due to safety reasons (water level and/or temperature are too high); in
pause status, and are displayed alternately. If you need to open the door,
wait for the temperature to drop or drain the water (e.g. select Spin programme).
Door cannot be locked/unlocked due to high temperature of the door lock. Wait a moment
and try again.

Inlet filter blocked ? Clean filter apage 11.
Supply hose kinked or blocked ?
The symbol flashes, indicating the laundry inside are unbalanced. The washing
machines unbalanced load detection system can not adjust the imbalance.To protect the
mechanical systems, the machine will not achieve the highest spin speed, and the laundry
can not be spinned completely. Please wash small and large items of laundry together.
Clean detergent solution pump apage 11;
outlet pipe/drainage hose blocked.

Maintenance
Drain pump blocked
Set programme selector to ÂOff, pull out the mains plug.
1. Open service flap.
2. Take the drainage hose out of the holder.
3. Remove sealing cap, allow detergent solution to flow out. Have a suitable
container ready.
Push up the closing cap and place the drain hose back in its holder.
4. Carefully unscrew the pump cover (Caution! residual water).
Clean the interior, pump cover thread and pump housing (fan impeller
in the detergent-solution pump must rotate).
5. Reinsert and screw on pump cover. Handle should be vertical.
6. Close the service flap.
To prevent unused detergent from flowing into the outlet during the next
wash: Pour 1 litre of water into dispenser II and start the Spin programme.
Filter blocked in water inlet hose
Release water pressure in the supply hose:
1. Turn off the tap!
2. Select any programme (except Spin).
3. Press Start/Reload button. Leave programme for approx. 40 seconds.
4. Set programme selector to ÂOff. Pull out the mains plug.
Clean the filter:
5. Disconnect the hose from the water tap.
Clean filter with small brush.
or
remove hose from the rear of the appliance.
Take out filter with pliers and clean.
6. Connect the hose and check for leaks.

Emergency release e.g. in the event of power failure
If power cut when programme is running, the safety device will lock
the door to avoid water flow out of the machine.
 The programme will continues to run when the power is restored.
The laundry can be removed when the programme ended.
 Release emergency release to open the door if the laundry need to
remove immediately!
Risk of scalding.
The detergent solution and laundry may be hot.
If possible, leave it to cool down.
Do not reach into the drum if it is still rotating.
Do not open the washing machine door if water can be seen
through the glass.
 Set the programme selector to ÂOff and disconnect the mains plug.

 Pull the emergency release with a tool and release. The washing
machine door can then be opened.
