the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to off, then
remove plug from wall outlet.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
• After unpacking your ChettleTM dispose carefully of the plastic
bags so that children and others can't reach them.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• Never move the appliance by pulling the cord and make
sure the cord cannot become entangled.
• This appliance shall not be used by children from 0 year
to 8 years. This appliance can be used by children aged
from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way
and understand the hazards involved.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children unless older than 8 and supervised.
• This appliance is household use only
• If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected
from spout or top of kettle and could cause bodily harm.
• To disconnect from power source, press main button to
switch OFF and then remove plug from outlet. Do not
pull on cord itself as it may damage cord and eventually
cause electric shock.
Important Safety Instructions
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed, including the following:
•
Read all Instructions.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons
do not immerse cord, plugs in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is
used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and
before cleaning the appliance.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug
or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged
in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized
service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
• The use of accessory attachments not recommended
by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric
shock or injury to persons.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or
touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or
in a heated oven.

• Only use the appliance with the appropriate connector.
• Do not immerse the base in water or any other liquid.
• Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds
to the local mains voltage before you connect the appliance.
• Do not coil the cord around the base during use.
• Keep the main cord, the base and the kettle away from
hot surfaces.
• Do not place the appliance on an enclosed surface (e.g.
a serving tray), as this could cause water to accumulate
under the appliance, resulting in a hazardous situation.
• When using this appliance, provide adequate air space
on all sides for circulation. Do not use under cabinetry.
• Hot water can cause serious burns. Be careful when the
kettle contains hot water and when pouring the kettle.
• Do not touch the body of the kettle during and some time
after use, as it gets very hot. Always lift the kettle by its handle.
• Do not remove lid while the water is heating up or boiling.
Be careful when you open the lid immediately after the
water has boiled: the steam that comes out of the kettle is
very hot.
• Do not place anything on top of lid.
• Always have lid on when kettle is in use.
• This rapid-boil kettle can draw up to 12 amps from the
power supply in your home. Make sure that the electrical
system in your home and the circuit to which the kettle is
connected can cope with this level of power consumption.
Do not let too many other appliances draw power from the
same circuit while the kettle is being used.
• Only use the kettle in combination with its original
induction base.
• Do not attempt to use induction base to heat any other
appliance or object, as this will cause damage to the base.
• Do not connect the appliance to an external switching
device such as a timer and do not connect it to a circuit that
is regularly switched on and off by the utility. This prevents a
hazard that could be caused by inadvertent resetting of
the thermal cut-out.
• Always place base and the kettle on a dry, flat and stable
level surface.
• The kettle is only intended for boiling water to make hot
beverages.
• Depending on the hardness of the water in your area,
small spots may appear in your kettle when you use it.
This phenomenon is the result of scale build-up on the
heating element and on the inside of the kettle over time.
The harder the water, the faster scale builds up. Scale can
occur in different colors. Although scale is harmless, too
much scale can influence the performance of your kettle.
• Descale your kettle regularly by following the instructions
given in chapter ‘CLEANING + DESCALING’.
• Some condensation may appear on the base of the kettle.
This is perfectly normal and does not mean that the kettle
has any defects.
• Never fill the kettle beyond the maximum level indication.
If the kettle has been overfilled, boiling water may be
ejected from the spout and cause scalding. Always fill
the kettle above the minimum level to prevent damage
on your kettle.

This symbol alerts you to
important operating and
service instructions.
This symbol alerts you to the risk of fire
or electric shock in the accompanying

How your Chettle™works:
A high frequency induction coil located underneath the top plate
of the base heats the kettle by magnetic friction. The heat occurs
directly within the metal bottom of the kettle, therefore no energy is
lost between the base and the kettle. It is controlled by an electronic
circuit to offer superior performance and functions. When you switch
it off, the heating is stopped immediately. Because the induction effect
does not directly heat the air around the kettle, induction cooking
results in further energy efficiencies.
Before your first use:
• Remove stickers if any, from the base or the kettle itself except for
the stickers at the bottom of the base.
• Place the base on a dry, flat and stable surface.
• Do not wind the cord around the reel in the base.
• Rinse the kettle with water.
• Fill the kettle with water up to the maximum level indicator and
let the water boil once.
• Pour out the hot water and repeat that process once more.
• Select Celsius or Fahrenheit degrees by pressing the "Keep Warm"
button for 3 seconds. The base will keep this selection until
changed manually.
• After that, the kettle is ready to use.

Using The Chettle™
Plug the unit into a wall socket.
Fill the kettle with desired amount of water.
Always fill the water between the minimum and maximum
level marks on the back of the kettle.
Too little water will result in the Chettle switching OFF before the water has boiled. Filling
above maximum level mark may result in boiling water splashing from the Chettle.
Turn The Chettle ON
Turn the Chettle ON by pressing and releasing the ON/OFF
button - you will know when your unit is on because the
display will light up.
Note that the last temperature setting will show on the display. If you would like to
change between Celsius or Fahrenheit degrees press the "Keep Warm" button for
3 seconds. The base will keep this selection until changed manually.
Setting Temperature & using the Rapid Boil feature
Set the temperature by pressing the (higher temp)
and (lower temp) symbols.
By holding down either the + or - symbols, the numbers will move more rapidly.
Fine tuning can be done by pressing the buttons once. Temperature range is
38 – 100 Celsius or 94 – 212 Fahrenheit.
Once desired temperature is located, press the symbol, you
will hear a single acoustic signal.
Temperature indicator (located to the right of the displayed
temperature) turns from yellow to orange to red as the
temperature rises. The symbol will blink during the process.
When the desired temperature is reached the symbol will
stop blinking and there will be 3 acoustic signals.
Rapid Boil Function
If a specific temperature is not required and you wish to simply
boil the water, use the “Rapid Boil” function.
Set the temperature by pressing the (higher temp) to the
maximum (212°F or 100°C)
Press the symbol, you will hear a single acoustic signal.
When the water reaches boiling the symbol will stop
blinking and there will be 3 acoustic signals.
Activating the Keep Warm Function
The “Keep Warm” function allows the kettle to sit for thirty minutes
after heating process while maintaining the temperature. It also
provides the ability to maintain the temperature throughout the
brewing process.
If the “Keep Warm” function is selected within 90 seconds
of the end of heating process, the “Keep Warm” symbol starts
blinking and the “Keep Warm” function will be activated for 30
minutes. If it is not selected within 90 seconds, the base will go
to “Stand By”.

Cleaning & Descaling
IMPORTANT:
Clean your appliance frequently to avoid calcification and to
guarantee a long life with low energy consumption.
Cleaning the base
• Unplug the appliance first.
• Clean the outside of the induction base with a soft cloth
moistened with warm water and some mild cleaning agent.
• Do not use chemicals, steel wool, or abrasive cleaners to clean
the inside or outside of the kettle as these may scratch the
surface.
Cleaning + descaling the kettle
• Mineral deposits, especially from hard water cause scaling
which gradually slows down the heating process and reduces
performance. Therefore, cleaning is an integral part of the
equipment maintenance.
• Scale is not harmful to your health but it may give your drink
a powdery taste.
• The kettle is dishwasher safe. Put the kettle upside down with
the lid removed and placed separately into the dishwasher.
• You can easily clean the kettle by hand.
If the keep warm is activated from the beginning, it will
first start with the heating process. This means that both the
“single cycle” and “Keep Warm” icon will blink. When the set
temperature is reached, you will hear an acoustic signal once,
meaning that the heating process is finished. After that it
will switch to “Keep Warm” mode and only the “Keep Warm”
icon will blink for the remaining 30 min (or until the kettle is
removed). After these 30 minutes, the keep warm cycle is
finished and there will be 3 acoustic signals.
As a safety precaution, it is necessary to press the “Keep
Warm” button after removing and replacing the kettle on the
base to resume the “Keep Warm” function. Once the kettle
has resumed the "Keep Warm" temperature, there will be a
single acoustic sound.
If the kettle is removed from the base for more than 90
seconds the unit will go to standby mode.
Anytime you would like to stop the process and switch to
standby you can do so by pressing the On/Off button.
IMPORTANT:
Always pour out excess water after heating in order to avoid
excessive calcification.
Do not touch the metal bottom of the kettle in case it is
still hot.
