1 Geltungsbereich / Scope of manual / Domaine d'application
Diese Bedienungsanweisung gilt für Inbetriebnahme, Betrieb und Wartung des Luftkühlgerätes.
Zusätzlich sind folgende Bedienungsanweisungen zu beachten:
Strahlhelm Modell Apollo 50 / 60 oder 100.
Atemluftfilter CPF 20 und 80.
This owner's manual applies to commissioning, operation and maintenance of the Cool Air Tube.

Das Luftkühlgerät muss mit vorher über einen Atemluftfilter (z.B. CPF-Luftfilter) von Staub, Schmutz und
Öl gereinigter Atemluft unter einem Druck von mind. 5,8 - 6,6 bar und einem Luftvolumenstrom von min.
0,57 m3/min. betrieben werden.
The Cool Air Tube must be fed via an upstream air filter (such as a CPF air filter) which supplies it with
air that is free of dust, dirt and oil at a pressure of min. 5.8 - 6.6 bar and an air volume of min. 0.57 m3/min.
Le refroidisseur d'air doit être utilisé avec un air purifié au moyen d'un filtre à air (filtre à air CPF par
exemple) pour éliminer les particules de poussière, de saleté et d'huile, à une pression de minimum 5,8 - 6,6
bars et un volume d'air minimum de 0,57 m3/min.

Das Luftkühlgerät wird zwischen dem Atemluftfilter und dem Apollo Strahlhelm installiert, und versorgt den
Strahler mit gekühlter Atemluft. Im Inneren des Luftkühlgerätes befindet sich ein Vortexrohr, welches die
ankommende Druckluft in warme und kalte Luft trennt. Die warme Luft wird abgeblasen, während die kalte Luft
zum Apollo Strahlhelm weitergeleitet wird. Mit dem Temperatureinstellknopf kann die Lufttemperatur reguliert
werden.
The Cool Air Tube is installed between the air filter and the Apollo air-fed helmet, and supplies the operator with
cooled breathing air. The Cool Air Tube contains a vortex tube, which separates the incoming compressed air into
warm and cold air. The warm air is discharged, and the cool air is fed to the Apollo air-fed helmet. The temperature
adjustment knob allows the air temperature to be regulated
Le refroidisseur d'air doit être installé entre le filtre à air et le casque Apollo. Il fournit à l'opérateur de sablage de
l'air refroidi. Le tube vortex placé à l'intérieur du refroidisseur sépare l'air comprimé entrant en air chaud et en air
froid. L'air chaud est expulsé alors que l'air froid est envoyé dans le casque Apollo. La régulation de la température
s'effectue à l'aide du bouton de réglage de la température.
4 Installation / Installation / Installation
(1) Atemluftschlauch.
Atemluftschlauch des Strahlhelms an den Ausgang des Kühlgerätes schrauben
(siehe Bild 1).
(2) Luftversorgungsschlauch.
Der vom Luftfilter (z.B. CPF-20 oder 80) kommende Luftversorgungs-
schlauch mit Schnelltrennkupplung an den Eingang des Luftkühlgerätes
kuppeln.
(3) Gurt.
Den Gurt auf Körperumfang des Strahlers einstellen.
(1) Breathing air line.
Screw the breathing air line of the air-fed helmet on to the outlet from the
Cool Air Tube (see Fig. 1).
(2) Air supply line.
Using a quick-release coupling, connect the air supply line from the air filter
(such as CPF-20 or 80) to the inlet of the Cool Air Tube.
(3) Belt.
Fit the belt around the body of the operator.
(1) Tuyau d'air.
Visser le tuyau d'air du casque de sablage à la sortie du refroidisseur (voir
figure 1).
(2) Tuyau d'alimentation d'air.
Raccorder le tuyau d'alimentation d'air du filtre à air (CPF 20 ou 80) à l'entrée
du refroidisseur d'air au moyen d'un raccord rapide.
(3) Ceinture.
Régler la ceinture en fonction du tour de taille de l'opérateur de sablage.
5 Betrieb / Set-up and operation / Fonctionnement
(1) Sicherheitsausrüstung
anlegen.
Schutzanzug.
Lederhandschuhe und Arbeitsschutzschuhe.

Strahlhelm.
Gurt mit installiertem Luftkühlgerät (Anschluss an Atemluftfilter und
Helm) anlegen.
(2) Atemluftversorgung.
Druck im Bereich zwischen min. 5,5 und 6,6 bar einstellen (CPF-
Atemluftfilter).
(3) Atemlufttemperatur
einstellen.
Mit dem Temperatureinstellknopf an der Unterseite des Luftkühlgerätes.
Nach links drehen = kältere Atemluft.
Etwa 1 Minute warten, bis die Temperaturänderung eintritt.
Nochmals einstellen, bis gewünschte Temperatur erreicht ist.
(1) Put on protective equipment.
Protective clothing.
Leather gloves and safety shoes.
Air-fed helmet.
Put on the belt with the installed Cool Air Tube (make the connection to
the air filter and helmet).
(2) Breathing air supply.
Set the pressure in the range between min. 5.5 and 6.6 bar (CPF air filter).
(3) Adjust the breathing air
temperature.
Set the temperature adjustment knob on the underside of the Cool Air Tube.
Turn knob anticlockwise = colder breathing air.
Wait about 1 minute until the temperature change takes effect.
Adjust it further until the desired temperature is achieved.

(2) Alimentation d'air.
Régler la pression entre minimum 5,5 et 6,6 bars (filtre à air CPF).
(3) Régler la température de
l'air.
Au moyen du bouton de réglage de la température dans la partie inférieure du
refroidisseur d'air.
Bouton vers la gauche = air plus froid
Attendre environ 1 minute le changement de la température.
Renouveler le réglage jusqu'à obtention de la température
souhaitée.
6 Wartung / Maintenance / Entretien
Überprüfen und reinigen Sie wöchentlich das Sieb im Lufteingang des Kühlgerätes. Stecknippel 1/4“
demontieren, Sieb herausnehmen, reinigen und wieder montieren. Die restlichen Teile sind wartungsfrei.
Every week check and clean the sieve in the air inlet of the cool air tube. Undo the 1/4" plug connection, take
out the sieve, clean it and refit it. All other parts are maintenance-free.
Vérifier et nettoyer le filtre dans l'arrivée d'air du refroidisseur une fois par semaine. Démonter le mamelon
mâle 1/4", extraire le filtre, le nettoyer et le remettre en place. Les autres pièces ne nécessitent pas d'entretien.
7 Störungen und deren Beseitigung / Troubleshooting / Pannes et

Wärmequellen führen.
