BEFORE REQUESTING SERVICE
7.1
PlCK UPCLEANING
After long-term use of the CD-ROM drive, dust on the pick-up objective lens can
cause detenoration of optical performance. To remove dust from the lens, this
CD-ROMdrive has an automatic cleaning mechanism. Load and eject the tray and
then start the automatic cleaning mechanism. The periodicalcleaningisdesirableto
maintaindriveperformance.
7.2
TROUBLESHOOTlNG
(1)
There are many kinds of problemscaused by misuse. When a problem occurs,
check the table below which describes possible problems occumng with your
CD-ROM.
(2)
If the CD-ROM is not operating correctly and you cannot restore operation by
followingthe detailedprocedures in the table below, do not remove the cover of
the unitsor adjustfurther.
(3)
In the case of

above, unplug the unit and consult with your dealer or the
nearestservice station.
