1. SelectthemountinglocationsfortheDevice and Antenna. DonotmounttheDevice or
theAntennaunderthehoodorexposetooutsideelements.
2. Makesurethe“SIMCardLock”ispositionedtothelockedposition(totheleft). The
device willnotobtainacellularconnectionifitisnotinthelockedposition.
3. TheAntennaisdesignedtomountinsidethevehicle. The“AIRWARD”emblem
representsthetopoftheAntenna, andmustface up (skyward). Thesidewiththe
adhesive(3MTape)mustface downifitisasquareantenna. NOTE:Ifyouareusinga
roundantennathesidewiththeadhesive(3MTape)mustbeup.Itisstrongly
recommendedthattheAntennabemountedunderthevehicledashinahiddenlocation
withlineofsighttotheskythroughthewindshield. TheAntennawillnotworkiftheline
ofsightisblockedbymetal. Makesuretheglassdoesnothaveanymetalfilmatbaseas
thatwillblocktheGPS signal. Theantennamustnotbeincontactwithanything metallic,
orcoveredbyanymetallicobjectstoworkproperlyDonotcrimporrouteantenna
cables. Usecautionwhenusing tie-strapsfortheantenna. Overtighteningcouldcutoff
thesignaltothedevice. Adhesiveislocatedontheantennatosecureplacement.
Adhesivessuchastwosidedstickytape, Velcro, andsiliconeareoftenusedtosecure
placementoftheantenna. Twosidedsticktapecanweakenunderprolongedexposureto
extremeheatcausingtheantennatofallandturnupsidedowncausing“OldGPS Data”
information.
