need
replacing
or
have
been
loaded
incorrectly.

as necessary.

not
usingofthecamera,always
returnthe

advance
lever
totheoriginal
position
to
prevent
accidentally
releasing

Loading
film
1. Toopen
the
film
chamberback
cover
(25),
fold
out
the
filmrewind
knob
(1
1),
then
pull
it
out.
Whenthe
back
coveropens,
the
frame
counter
(4)
automatically
resets
to"S".
2. Insertthe
film
cassette
into
the
film
chamber
so
thattheprojecting
endofthefilmcassette
is
downward.
Do
this
in
a place
away
fromdirect
sunlight.
3. Fold
outand
lift
upthe
film
rewindcrank
(10).
Then
rotate
thecrank
carefully
while
push
init
down
lightly
untilthe
filmlocks
onthe
film
rewind
shaft

e).
4. Return
the
filmrewind
knob
toitsoriginal
position.
5. Insert
the
filmleader
into
the
groove
ofthetake-up
spool

and
place
it
sothat
the
film
perforations
engage
with
thespoolteeth.

theteethofsprockel

the

Advancethe
film

offrames,
pressing
the
shutter
release
button
each
time,until
the
frame
counter
indicates

Setting

the
dial
is
setatthe
intermediate
positions
oftheindex,

aligns
with
the
desired
value.
With
setting
at"B"
(bulb)
position,
exposure
monitoringisimpossible.
With
brighter
subjects,
fast
moving
subjectsorwith
the
highervaluefilm
speedof
the
film
used,
itis
recommended
touse
higher
shutter
speeds.
In
photography
using,telephotolenses,
usethe
highest
shutterspeed
possible
toavoidcamera
movement
affecting
yourpictures.
Generally
higher
thanthe
same
value
oftheshutter
speedasthatof
the
focallength
ofthelensisrecommended,
i.e.
1/250s
shutter
speed
isrecommended
for
a
telephoto
lens
with135mmfocallength,
and
1/500sfor
300mm
focallength.

Focusing
1. Focusing
is
doneby
observing
through
the
circled
area
in
the
center
oftheviewfinder
screen.Within
thecircleis
the
split
image
spot
prism
and
around
thecircle
thereis
the
microprism
collar.

focusing
through
thesplit
image
spot,when
_ the
image
divided
horizontally
isbroughtinto
t alignment
by
focusing,
focus
in
correct.When
theupper-andlower-half
images
donot
align,it
is
out-of-focus.
3. Tofocus
throughthemicroprism
collar
outside
centerspot,
a broken
shimmering
image
is
seen
whenitis
out-of-focus
and
correct
focus
is
at
the
setting
in
which
theimage
becomes
clear
and
sharp.
4. Focusing
through
the
entirematte
surface
ofthe
viewfinder
is
also
possible.
In
this
case,
atthe
setting
where
thesharpestimage
isobtained,
precise
focusing
is
secured.
5. Choose
themost
effectivefocusing
method
from
theabove
according
tothe
shooting
situation,
such
asthelens
used,
the
subject,
etc.

adjustment,

Self-Timer
1. Windthe
film
advance
lever

turn
the
self-timer
lever

counterclockwise.
Now
the
self-timer
isreadyto set.
2.Presstheshutter
releasebutton

andthe
self-
timer
operates
toreleasetheshutter
in
approximately
10
seconds
later.

readyitis
impossibleto return
itmanually.
Sooperate
it
only
when
you
really
need

include
yourself
in
