Installing Your Wine Cooler
Unpacking your Wine Cooler
1. Remove all packaging material. This includes the base and all adhesive tape
holding the wine cooler accessories inside and outside.
2. Inspect and remove any remains of packing, tape or printed materials before
powering on the wine cooler.
Leveling your Wine Cooler
• Your wine cooler has 2 leveling legs, located at the bottom of your wine
cooler. After properly placing your wine cooler in its final position, you can
adjust its level.
• Leveling legs can be adjusted by turning them clockwise to raise the appliance
or by turning them counterclockwise to lower the wine cooler. The door will
close easier when the leveling legs are extended.
Proper Air Circulation
• To ensure that your wine cooler works at its maximum efficiency,
you
should
install it in a location where there is proper air circulation
and
electrical
connections.
• The following are recommended clearances around the wine cooler:
Sides……………3/4“ (19 mm)
Top....................2” (50 mm)
Back..................2” (50 mm)
Electrical Requirements
• Make sure there is a suitable power outlet (115 volts, 15 amps outlet) with
proper grounding to power the wine cooler.
• Avoid the use of three plug adapters or cutting off the third grounding in
order to accommodate a two plug outlet. This is a dangerous practice since it
provides no effective grounding for the wine cooler and may result in
shock hazard. Please note that the use of 2-prong adapters is strictly forbidden
in Canada.
Use of Extension Cords
• Avoid the use of an extension cord because of potential safety hazards under
certain conditions. If it is necessary to use an extension cord, use only a 3-wire
extension cord that has a 3-blade grounding plug and a 3-slot outlet that will
accept the plug. The marked rating of the extension cord must be equal to or
greater than the electrical rating of the appliance.

Installation Limitations
• Do not install your wine cooler in any location not properly insulated or
heated e.g. garage etc. Your wine cooler was not designed to operate
in temperature settings below 55ºF (12ºC).
• Select a suitable location for the wine cooler on a hard, even surface
away from direct sunlight or heat source, e.g. radiators, baseboard heaters,
cooking appliances etc. Any floor unevenness should be corrected with the
leveling legs located at the bottom.
Door Reversal Instructions
Your wine cooler is built with a reversible door. You have the choice of either
opening it from the left or the right side. In order to reserve the opening direction
of your door, please follow these simple instructions.
Tilt the wine cooler backwards. Secure the rear from sliding. Tape the door to
the cabinet to prevent from falling.
1. Remove the 3 hexagonal screws from base bracket.
2. Remove the pivot holding the bottom of the door.
3. Separate the door from the cabinet and remove the pivot axle from the upper
side of the door. Remove and reinstall upper and lower axle door inserts to
opposite side.
4. Install the pivot axle to the opposite side.
5. Re-attach the door to the cabinet and secure with tape.
6. Attach the base bracket to the opposite side
7. Install the bottom pivot aligning with the lower pivot insert on the door. Attach
the 3 hexagonal screws to base bracket.
8. Remove tape.
9. As the unit was tilted, wait 24 hours before plugging it in.

Care & Cleaning
Cleaning and Maintenance
Warning: To avoid electric shock, always unplug your wine cooler before
cleaning. Ignoring this warning may result in death or injury.
Caution: Before using cleaning products, always read and follow
manufacturer’s instructions and warnings to avoid personal injury or
product damage.
General: • Prepare a cleaning solution of 3-4 tablespoons of baking soda
mixed with warm water. Use sponge or soft cloth, dampened with
the cleaning solution, to wipe down your wine cooler.
•Rinse with clean warm water and dry with a soft cloth.
• Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives, ammonia, chlorine bleach,
concentrated detergents, solvents or metal scouring pads. Some
of these chemicals may dissolve, damage and/or discolor your
wine cooler.
Door Gaskets: • Clean door gaskets every three months according to general
instructions. Gaskets must be kept clean and pliable to ensure
a proper seal.
• Petroleum jelly applied lightly on the hinge side of gaskets
will keep the gasket pliable and ensure a good seal.
Defrosting Your Wine Cooler
Your wine cooler is designed with an “Auto-Cycle” defrost system. The wine
cooler surfaces of the unit will defrost automatically, during the “off” cycle of the
cold control. Water
from the unit is disposed of automatically, by means of being
channeled onto a drip tray located on the compressor. Heat transfer from the
compressor causes this water to evaporate.
Power Interruptions
• Occasionally there may be power interruptions due to thunderstorms or other
causes. Remove the power cord from AC outlet when a power outage occurs.
When power has been restored, replug power cord to AC outlet.
Vacation and Moving Care
• For long vacations or absences, empty contents from wine cooler, move the
temperature DIAL to the OFF position and clean the wine cooler, and door
gaskets according to “General cleaning” section. Prop doors open, so air can
circulate inside. When moving, always keep the wine cooler in a vertical
position. Do not move with the unit lying down. Possible damage to the sealed
system could occur.

8
Normal Operating Sounds You May Hear
• Boiling water, gurgling sounds or slight vibrations that are the result of the
refrigerant circulating through the cooling coils.
• The thermostat control will click when it cycles on and off.

• Check if thermostat control is not in the “OFF” position.
