User and Safety Instructions

General Safety Rules
WARNING! Read all instructions Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock,
fire and/or serious injury. The term "power tool" in all of the warnings listed below refers to your mains
operated (corded) power tool or battery operated (cordless) power tool.
1) Work area
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids,
gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose
control.
2) Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs
with grounded power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is
an increased risk of electric shock if your body is grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of
electric shock and failure of the tool.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord
away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric
shock.
e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord
suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
3) Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a
power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of
inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury or possibly death.
b) Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety equipment such as dust mask, non-skid
safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
c) Avoid accidental starting. Ensure the switch is in the off position before plugging in. Carrying power tools
with your finger on the switch or plugging in power tools that have the switch on increases the likelihood of
accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to
a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power
tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from
moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are
connected and properly used. Use of these devices can reduce dust related hazards.
4) Power tool use and care
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will
do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be
controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired or discontinued.

c) Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or
storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool
accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power
tool or these instructions to operate the power tool.
Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any
other condition that may affect the power tools operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before
use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less
likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc., in accordance with these instructions and in the
manner intended for the particular type of power tool, taking into account the working conditions and the
work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from intended could result in a
hazardous situation.
5) Battery tool use and care
a) Ensure the switch is in the OFF position before inserting battery pack. Inserting the battery pack into
power tools that have the switch on increases the likelihood of accidents.
b) Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of
battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
c) Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may
create a risk of injury and fire.
d) When battery pack is not use, keep it away from other metal objects like paper clips, coins, keys, nails,
screws, or other small metal objects that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the
battery terminals together may cause burns or fire.
e) Under abusive conditions, liquid may be leaked from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally
occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, and immediately additionally seek medical help. Liquid
leaked from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
6) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This
will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.

2. ACCESSORIES
INSTALLATION OF ACCESSORIES
1. Press down the shaft lock button and hold it down.
2. Grip the collet nut and turn it counterclockwise to loosen it.
3. Place the accessory’s shank into the collet as deep as it will go, without forcing.
4. Press and hold the shaft lock button.
5. Tighten the collet nut by turning it finger-tight in a clockwise direction until the accessory is firmly
clamped.
6. Release the shaft lock button.
CHANGING THE COLLET
For accessories with a different shank size, where the accessory shank either does not fit into the collet
because it is too large in diameter, or the collet does not clamp the shank tightly, because it is too small in
diameter;
1. Unscrew (turn counterclockwise) and remove the collet nut completely.
2. Remove the existing brass collet.
3. Choose the correct-size of the other three brass collets. The correct size slides snugly onto the
accessory shaft.
4. Insert the correct collet.
5. Screw the collet nut back on, being careful not to cross-thread it.
6. Install the accessory as above.
ASSEMBLING ACCESSORIES
Some accessory bits require assembly before insertion into the tool and use:
BUFFING WHEEL AND MANDREL
Screw the threaded point of the mandrel into the center hole of the felt buffing
wheel.
(See fig.1, at right.) The rotation direction of the tool will hold the felt wheel
against the flange behind the screw thread.
CUTTING / SANDING DISCS AND MANDREL
1.Unscrew and remove the small bolt and washer from the head of the mandrel
using the included Phillips screwdriver.
2. Place the small washer onto the bolt right behind the bolt head.
3. Place the center hole of the polishing, sanding, or cutting disc onto the shaft of
the bolt.
4.Thread the bolt back into the head of the mandrel. (See the assembly order at
fig.2, right.).
5. Tighten the bolt with the Phillips screwdriver.
6. The rotation direction of the tool will tend to hold the bolt in place.

SANDING DRUM MANDREL AND SLEEVES
1. Using the included Phillips screwdriver, unscrew (but do not remove) the small bolt from the head of the
mandrel, until there is no pressure on the washer under the bolt head.
2. Slide a sanding sleeve of the desired diameter and grit over the rubber cylinder at the head of the
mandrel.
3. Use the Phillips screwdriver to tighten the small bolt in the head of the mandrel, forcing the sides of the
rubber cylinder to expand and to hold the sanding sleeve tightly.
1. CHARGING THE BATTERY
The battery must be fully charged before first use. Only after several charge and discharge cycles the
battery will attain full capacity. Plug the plug of the charger in the connection. Insert the charger in the wall
socket. The red indicator light goes on. Charge the battery for 3-5 hours;, the red indicator will turn off and
machine is ready for use. Warning: Do not use the tool while charging!
2. OPERATION
VARIABLE SPEED DIAL
Rotate dial to one of the five speed settings, this will start the tool. Rotate dial to the ‘O’ position to stop the
tool. Using the variable speed dial will enable you to alter the speed of the tip. Select the correct speed for
the work and type of accessory you are using.
APPLICATIONS
Your multi-tool can be used for drilling, grinding, polishing, milling and brushing. Other jobs like engraving,
cutting and removing rust are also possible. It can be used on most wood, metal, glass and ceramics. It is a
good idea to practice on a scrap piece of material or in an inconspicuous area. Best results are achieved
by an even speed and pressure (not too hard). Use lower speeds for larger tools and higher speed for
smaller tools. Because of the excess of debris caused by this type of tool, always wear eye protection. A
respirator is also recommended for most materials.
BATTERY GAUGE
This tool is equipped with a battery gauge that tells you how much charge your battery has. A fully charged
battery is indicated when two LED lights (GREEN and YELLOW) are illuminated. When only 1 light
(YELLOW light) is illuminated, this indicates that the battery capacity is low and the unit needs to be
charged.
STALL PROTECTION
This tool has a stall protection feature built into it to protect the motor and battery in the event of a stall. If
you stall the tool for too long, or bind the bit in a work piece, especially at high speeds, it will automatically
turn itself off. Simply clear the cause of the stall, turn the tool off for 3 seconds, then turn it back on again
to continue using it. As the battery gets low, the tool may be more sensitive and shut down more frequently
than normal. If this happens, it is time to recharge the battery.
