THREE TY P ES OF 8mm MOVIE FI LM
The ELMO ZOOM C-300 is an all-pur-pose, lop class Brnrn movie camera
which USES all thr ee typ es of 8mm movi e film. It consists of the camera body
and film magaz i ne, The most im portant feature of the camera is its newly
designed , crysta l c l ear zoo m lens (F '1.8, 9 to 36mm). This is f ollowed by the
high - performance "Thro ugh -:he- Is ns" arrangement (a uto matic light adjustment
mechanisrl)' the single lens ref l e:( construction. the spl it-image focus mechanism,
the film drive system, and the reve rse shooting mechanism .

used to obtain proper effects under su n light conditions. Fi lter
status may be dete r mined with the vi ewf i nder. When the Su per-8
magazine is positioned in the came ra, the filter is automatica l ly
pos i tioned inside the camera at the same ti me . When used wi th
indoor l ighting, it is necessa ry to shift the fil ter so tha t it does
not affec t light enter i ~g the camera . Th is is do ne by the filte r

in the proper posit i on for retrac ti ng the fi lter . Normally, this
screw is positioned in the top hole. (accessory Shoe)
When the cart ri dge is removed the film counter w ill return
to its orig i na l posit i on. If the cartridge is removed before the film
is complete ly exposed , be su re to remember the counter i ndication.
At this time, on y the portion of the film in fro~t of the ma g azine
will be exposed and wasted.
To sepa rate the Super-8 magazine from the camero, open the
magaz ine cover to the rear as when in sert i ng or re m ov ing the
cartridge. .There are spring releases at top and batlom of the
ca rtri dge compar t ment. Ho ld i ng these with thumb and forefinger ,
depress and extract the magazine by pu ll ing.
