OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
After connecting to water and power supply network, the heater is ready for use.
Rotate the thermostat knob situated on the protective cover and adjust the required
temperature between 25 and 85 °C. We recommend selecting the adjustment "e".
This is a cost saving adjustment, providing the water temperature of ca. 55 °C, less
limescale deposits and lower heat loss, as compared to higher settings.
The heater can be connected as single-stage or two-stage heater (see drawings of
wiring diagrams). When connected as single-stage heater, the water is automatically
heated to temperature selected by means of thermal regulator. During heating, one or
both of the control lamps are on, depending on the selected option of connection. The
Quick-Heat Key has no function in this mode. If connecting the heater as two-stage
heater, two operation modes are possible. The heater may be connected via timer or
directly. The timer allows operation of the heater during the lower tariff period.
When connecting the heater via timer, the heater operates during the lower tariff
period with lower power setting. When the heating elements are on, the control lamp
KS1 is switched on (on the right side of the thermal regulator). During the higher tariff
period, the heater will not operate. In case your hot water needs are higher, you can
use the Quick-Heat Key any time (during low or high tariff period) and switch on
maximum power to heat the water in the heater in minimum time. In this case, both
the control lamps are on while the heater operates. When heating is completed, use
the Quick-Heat Key and restore normal operation mode. In low tariff period, the
heater will operate with low power and in high tariff period, the heater will not operate.
By pressing the Quick-Heat Key again, the process of quick heating can be switched
on again.
In case of direct connection, the heater will operate with lower power setting, if,
however you need more hot water, use the Quick-Heat Key.
If you intend not to use the heater for a longer period of time, protect the heater
against freezing: do not disconnect from power supply, set the thermostat knob to
position " ". In this setting the heater will maintain the temperature of water at
ca. 9 °C. If you will disconnect the heater from power supply, the water should be
discharged from the heater if there is a danger of freezing.
Before discharging the water from the heater, disconnect the heater from power
supply. Open the hot water tap on the heater and let the water run out of the heater.
After the water is discharged, there will still be a small amount of water, which is
drained after disassembling the flange.
