GENERAL SAFETY INSTR
UCTIONS
1.
During use, ma
intain control of the tool. The operators represent the most important
aspect of safety. Working cautiously and carefully is the best protection against the risk of
injury.
2.
The pneumatic tool should not be used and repaired by someone under the influence o
f
drugs or alcohol.
3.
When a fault / defect is detected, immediately disconnect the power supply cord from the
tool.
4.
Only transport the pneumatic tool by holding the handle and without pressing the start
lever. Always disconnect the compressed air supply hos
e before transport.
1.1
Risks Associated with the Work Area
1.
Keep unqualified people, children, etc. away from the work environment and the pneumatic
tool.
2.
Only use to tool with proper lighting and visibility.
3.
Pay attention in unknown environments and work are
as. The pneumatic tool is not isolated
from the power supply.
4.
Be especially careful to avoid contact with dust, air jets or other pollutants. If necessary,
wear a dust mask.
5.
It is important to maintain a stable and secure position while working. Beware of
air hoses,
which can cause you to trip and fall.
1.2
Risks Associated with the Presence of Rotating and/or Moving
Parts
Grab the pneumatic tool correctly, using the appropriate "gun" handle.
Never touch the rotating parts of the tool, particularly the tool ch
uck spindle.
Vibrations, repetitive movements and uncomfortable positions may be harmful to your arms
and hands. Discontinue use of the drill if you experience symptoms of physical discomfort,
tingling and pain.
While working, do not wear loose clothing or
jewellery that could get caught in the moving
parts of the tool. Similarly, put hair back in a net or a cap.

IMPROPER USES AND PR
ECAUTIONS
IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN !!
To allow the to
ol to be used by untrained personnel and those who have not read the
instruction manual;
To use the tool for different purposes and uses other than those for which it was
designed, i.e. drilling holes;
To use the tool in humid conditions, explosive atmosph
eres or near flammable surfaces
or gases;
To use the tool without wearing appropriate PPE, such as footwear, gloves, hearing
protectors and goggles;
To touch rotating parts during operation;
To use the tool in the presence of children;
To leave the compres
sed air supply hose inserted after work or while changing the drill
bit;
To point the drill and in particular the drill bit in the direction of people or animals;
To block or insert objects into the air outlet grille;
To modify and/or tamper with the tool;
To use pneumatic power supplies other than as prescribed;

COMMISSIONING
1.
Remove the air inlet cap, then screw the supplied nozzle into the hole:
1/4" NPT
Male
Quick
-
Release Coupling
2.
Put a few drops of lubricating oil (without resin acid) in the air inlet nozzle.
3.
Check the flexible air supply hose.
If it is damaged, broken, torn or deformed it must not be connected to the tool.
4.
Check the state of the quick c
ouplings (both on the tool and on the hose). If signs of
damage are detected, it is broken or excessively corroded, the tool or the flexible hose
cannot be used.
5.
The tool must be connected to the air supply source by means of an FRL air conditioning
group,
consisting of a filter, pressure regulator and lubricator, as shown in
Figure
4
.
The compressed air used must be clean and with the right mix of oil.
Adjust the lubricator
in such a way that it applies 3 to 6 drop
s of oil per minute. Furthermore, the maximum
length of the hose between the lubricator and the tool must be a maximum of 6/8 meters.
Figure
4

6.
Insert the quick coupling of
the supply hose into the air inlet nozzle at the bottom of the
grinder handle.
Air Pressure
To ensure proper operation and compliance with safety regulations, the operating pressure of
the compressed air must not exceed 600 kPa (6 bars).
Higher pressur
es may cause damage and excessive wear of the tool.
Information for the working pressure is displayed on the tool's CE plate and in the
instructions.
Crushing and Cutting
When connecting the air supply hose to the tool, while attaching the quick coupl
ing, do not
hold down the drill's start lever.

HOW TO USE
5.1
Mounting the drill bits
Crushing and Cutting
Before mounting and/or removing the cutting bits, always disconnect the air supply hose.
Protective gloves
Before mounting and/or removing th
e cutting bits, wear suitable protective gloves.
1.
Insert a cutting tip (with a diameter between 1.5 mm and 10 mm) inside the spindle.
2.
Close the jaws of the spindle by manually rotating the outer ring in a clockwise direction,
so that the bit is held secur
e by the jaws themselves.
3.
Insert the key into one of the circular holes on the spindle, then rotate clockwise to tighten
the jaws of the spindle.
When finished, remove the key!
Centring the bit
Always check the centring and linearity of the bit, before
using the tool.
5.2
Power On / Off
(Personal Protective Equipment) PPE
Before using the grinder, wear suitable work clothing, gloves, shoes and protective goggles.
Also wear a mask if you work with materials that produce dust or fumes.
Also wear protecti
ve devices for the ears (hearing protectors), such as earmuffs, earplugs,
etc.
Workspace
Be familiar with the work area.
Always check the work area before using the grinder.
Keep the work area clean, uncluttered and well lit.
Machining metals, such as
magnesium, can lead to the formation of potentially explosive or
combustible dust or fumes; therefore, avoid the presence of flames or hot surfaces in the
work area.

Precautions for use
When drilling on small or irregularly shaped objects, secure the
work piece in a vice with soft
jaws.
After mounting the cutting bit and connecting the flexible compressed air supply hose, hold
the drill by its "gun" handle.
Turn the selector lever to choose the direction of rotation (Ref. 3 in Figure 1), the position
s
available are:
Right: Clockwise rotation
Left: Anti
-
clockwise rotation
To turn it on and begin the rotation of the spindle, press the trigger (Ref. 4 in Figure 1).
The spindle's start button is a continuous hold command, in
the sense that the controlled
function (i.e. the rotation of the
spindle) is active as long as the button itself is held down.
Therefore, release the button when drilling has finished or in
an emergency.

Emergency
In case of an emergency, immediately release the grinder's power lever.
Disconnect the air hose and turn off the tool in the event of the following:
to change or replace the cutting tool;
to clean, rebuild or perform maintenance on the drill
;
if the drill has not been used for some time.

1.
General visual inspection:
check the general condition of the pneumatic tool and in
particular if there are any damaged or missing parts. Also check the pr
esence and
legibility of the plates.
2.
General cleaning:
cleaning is necessary to rid the body of oil deposits, dust or dirt
accumulation.
Risks associated with cleaning
Disconnect the air supply hose and clean the body of the tool. Do not use organic so
lvents to
avoid corrosion or discolouration.
3.
Clean the air outlet nozzle:
cleaning is necessary to free the air outlet nozzle and filter
of accumulated dirt. Do not use paint thinner, gasoline, or similar substances to clean the
nozzle.
4.
Lubricate moving
parts:
lubricate all the gears and moving
mechanical parts on the grinder by inserting lubricating oil
within the compressed air inlet nozzle at least once a day. To
do this, disconnect the air hose, turn over the grinder and put
a few drops of oil into th
e nozzle using an suitable oiler
