Product Description
The Fire & Flavor HERO empowers outdoor and adventure
lifestyle consumers to enjoy simple and clean charcoal
grilling anywhere they go.
The Fire & Flavor HERO Grill is the world’s first
environmentally friendly and premium portable grill that uses
a biodegradable charcoal pod to make grilling clean, simple
and highly portable. Thoughtful engineering combines a
premium portable grill with environmentally friendly charcoal
pods. The grill is lightweight, foldable to the size of standard
laptop and, better yet, is dishwasher friendly. HERO single-
use charcoal pods are vacuum sealed and simple to dispose of or compost after each use. The charcoal pod is
earth friendly in that it is comprised of cardboard, lava stones and all-natural, instant-light charcoal briquettes.

HERO GRILL WARRANTY
5-Year Warranty on Metal Parts
HERO Grill warrants that all metal parts used in this HERO Grill are free of defects in material and workmanship for
a period of five (5) years.
1-Year Warranty on Thermometer and Gaskets
HERO Grill warrants that the thermometer, silicone, and gaskets used in this HERO Grill are free of defects in
material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year.
When Does the Warranty Coverage Begin?
Warranty coverage commences on the original date of purchase and covers only the original purchaser. For the
warranty to apply, you must register your grill. If a defect in material or workmanship is discovered during the
applicable warranty period under normal use and maintenance, Fire & Flavor will, at our sole option, replace or
repair the defective components at no cost to you for the component itself. This warranty does not apply to labor, or
any other cost associated with the service, repair or operation of the grill. Fire & Flavor will pay all shipping charges
on warranty parts.
What is Not Covered?
This warranty does not apply to damage caused by abuse or use of the product for purposes other than that for
which it is designed, damage caused by lack of proper use, assembly, maintenance or installation, damages caused
by accidents or natural disasters, damage caused by unauthorized attachments or modifications, or damage during
transport. This warranty does not cover damage from normal wear and tear from use of the product (for example,
scratches, dents, dings and chipping) or changes in the appearance of the grill that do not affect its performance.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTY, WRITTEN OR ORAL,
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR

FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE DURATION OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY
IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS EXPRESSLY
LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD FOR THE APPLICABLE COMPONENT. *Some
states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
THE PURCHASER’S EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY OR OF ANY IMPLIED
WARRANTY SHALL BE LIMITED AS SPECIFIED HEREIN TO REPLACEMENT. IN NO CASE SHALL FIRE &
FLAVOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. *Some states do not
allow the exclusion or limitation of special, incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion
may not apply to you.
What Will Void the Warranty?
Purchasing any HERO Grill through an unauthorized dealer voids the warranty. An unauthorized dealer is defined
as but not limited to any retailer who has not been expressly granted permission by Fire & Flavor to sell HERO Grill
products. Use of unauthorized fuel sources for grill voids the warranty. Attempt to reuse HERO charcoal pods voids
warranty. Use of wire brushes or grilling utensils with the grill voids the warranty.
HERO GRILL INSTRUCTIONS
Instructions
1. Assembly grill and remove plastic wrap and paper lid from charcoal pod.
2. With a long handle lighter, light the four corner charcoal
briquettes. Do not use lighter fluid.
3. Wait 5 to 10 minutes until all charcoal burns grey. (you
may see small sparks as the charcoal begins to light)
4. Add your favorite foods!
5. Grill for up to 90 minutes, using the provided
Gratematch™ bamboo spatula to flip food.
6. Pour water over grill grates and into pod when finished
grilling. (CAUTION: Adding water to hot surfaces can
cause steam that can burn; pour water very slowly.
7. Use Gratematch™ spatula to clean the grill, then wipe
grates off with paper towel or cloth.
8. Wait for grill and pod to fully cool before packing up
(approximately 10 minutes).
9. Once back at home, remove thermometer then place the
grill into your dishwasher for easy cleaning.
10. Compost / recycle or dispose of pod in trash receptacle.

FAILURE TO HEED THESE WARNINGS MAY CAUSE SERIOUS BODILY INJURY OR DEATH, AND
DAMAGE TO PROPERTY.
DO NOT use grill indoors or in enclosed areas. Product is intended for outdoor use only.
NEVER use the Hero grill in prohibited areas.
DO NOT use on combustible surface. Grill surface must be able to withstand open flame.
DO NOT use grill near fuel or gas tanks on boats or vehicles.
Always practice caution with hot metal.
DO NOT use grill in areas where charcoal grilling is prohibited.
DO NOT re-use the charcoal pod by refilling with briquettes of any kind. Pods are intended for one use only.
DO NOT use lighter fluid or other flammable fluids.
DO NOT use fire starters of any kind.
Additional Warnings:
DO NOT start to grill before the charcoal briquettes turn white with ash.

DO NOT grill over charcoal pods without the grill or by placing directly onto a surface. Pods are only intended
to be suspended from the Fire & Flavor grill by inserting them into the designated slot under the grill grate.
DO NOT place your head over grill when pouring water on grill grates after grilling, since steam can burn.
DO NOT place your head over charcoal smoke fumes.
CAUTION: Lighting the briquettes may cause sparking. Keep your distance and do not place your head over
the unit.
WARNING: Product performance may diminish if used in a windy area.
WARNING: Our grill will get very hot. Use caution and always use the provided tool to add and remove food.
WARNING: Keep children and pets a safe distance as the grill gets very hot.
DO NOT move the grill after it is lit.
WARNING: Our charcoal pods must be stored in a cool, and preferably dry, place.
WARNING: Charcoal or lava stone base may fracture, but the unit is still usable.

Carbon Monoxide Warning
Burning charcoal inside homes, vehicles, tents or other enclosed areas can lead to injury or death, since it
gives off carbon monoxide, which has no odor.
