Installation and user manual
1. Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the satellite tracking device.
Before using the device, please read this manual carefully. It contains all the technical data and
instructions for the best use of the device.
The information contained herein may be subject to change without notice.
The manufacturer and the retailer accept no responsibility for any errors or omissions in this
document.
2. General information
This locator is a product based on the GSM / GPRS network and satellite positioning with GPS
system, with multiple functions for security, positioning, monitoring and surveillance.
Features:
• Built-in GSM, built-in GPS antenna, compact and stylish design.
• Supports SMS/GPRS and internet data transmission.
• Supports conguration from a remote terminal.
3. Applications
Used extensively for monitoring vehicles and other moving objects.
4. Package contents
• 1 GPS GPRS tracker
• 1 multi-core 12-wire harness
• 1 microphone with 1.5 m cable
• 1 12 V 40 A relay
• 1 screwdriver

5. Installing the SIM card
Use the supplied screwdriver to open the back
cover of the locator; insert the SIM card into
the SIM card slot. Ensure that the SIM card
is congured for the GSM network, is able
to display the caller’s number, has no call
forwarding enabled and that the PIN code is
unlocked. The SMS format must be in TXT
format; the locator does not recognise PDU
format. Connect the positive (red) and negative
(black) cable to the vehicle’s power supply
system (see paragraph 7. Installation of the
device), wait 1 minute after connection for the
localiser to activate and operate normally; then
switch on the backup battery switch.
After checking everything, close the device
compartment.
6. Function of LEDs
When switched on, the LEDs on the top of the front panel illuminate.
The central red LED with the battery symbol lights up steadily during charging, otherwise it is o and
will ash only when the backup battery is low; the backup battery intervenes in the event of a main
power failure and provides about 12 hours of autonomy.
The blue LED with the satellite symbol will ash every second if there is good GPS signal coverage;
if there is no GPS coverage the LED will remain o.
The green LED in GSM mode will blink every second if there is sucient network coverage, and
in GPRS mode the LED will blink every 3 seconds; if there is no network coverage it will be lit
continuously.
7. Installation and positioning of the device
N.B.: N.B.: Have the device installed by qualied personnel. Do not install in
a location that restricts the GSM function. Install away from dust, water and
moisture. This device is equipped with a motion detector (triaxial accelerometer)
and a schock sensor. It is essential to x the device properly to a rigid support
inside the passenger compartment, taking care to conceal it from view, if possible
on the longitudinal axis of the vehicle (highlighted with the dotted line in the
image) and at the front of the vehicle (highlighted with the circle in the image).
7.1 Simple electrical connection
If you only want to use the device as a locator, connect the cables:
• RED (+)
• BLACK (-)
• WHITE (+15)
7.2 Connection to RAPTORalarm control panels
• RED (+)
• BLACK (-)
• WHITE positive alarm input: connect to the WHITE/GREEN
wire of the 8-way connector of the RAPTORcanbus control
unit via a normally open relay (see adjacent diagram).

7.3 Advanced electrical connection
If you wish to use the device as an independent alarm, connect the cables as follows:
Note: The pink wire can be connected to the car horn or an optional siren.
• Locate the polarity of the door opening and closing control. If positive connect to the green wire, if
negative connect to the blue wire.
• It is optional to install the SOS button so that the driver can easily activate it in case a distress
signal is needed.
8. Initialising the device
N.B.: from now on, the commands to be sent to the device via SMS will be shown, the inverted
commas “”””, the “+” symbol and the word “space” should not be written in full in the message, they
are only used in this instruction booklet to indicate the formatting of the commands to be sent to the
localiser.
Send an SMS with “begin + password” to the localiser; the localiser will reply with an SMS with the
message “begin OK”.
(Default password: 123456) For example: send SMS “begin123456”, locator reply “begin ok”.
9.Setting the administrator number
The administrator phone number, in addition to being able to receive the location information of the
device, is able to carry out fundamental setting operations such as initialisation and reset.
From the master mobile phone, send a text message with the text “admin+password+mobile phone
number” to set an authorised number.
Other numbers can always be set from the rst authorised number. If the authorisation is successful,
the unit will reply with an SMS with the text “admin ok!
Example: Send SMS “admin123456 3471234567”, locator reply “admin ok”.
10. Changing your password
To change the password, send an SMS with the words “password+old password+new password”
to the localiser. Example: If the old password is 123456 and the new password is 888888, send
“password123456 888888” to the localiser; the localiser will reply with the SMS: “Password OK”.
