INSTRUCTION MANUAL
HCAP0338
Drop this tiny device in your shirt pocket and you’ll soon forget that it’s even there. But
ask it for performance data, and you’ll never forget to take it along. It mounts easily
with double-sided tape or hook & loop strips, and begins satellite acquisition as soon
as you press the power button. That takes about 3-5 minutes indoors, but just 30
seconds outdoors. Once that’s done, the satellite icon will stop blinking, the UTC time
will appear and you’ll be ready to start recording mode and take off. Its onboard battery
is good for about 2-1/2 hours of operation, and it has memory for up to 6 hours of data.

After turning on the unit, the meter will start the process of satellite acquisition and
tracking automatically. While the GPS meter is syncing with the GPS satellite, the
Satellite logo on the LCD will blink. The meter will take about 30 seconds to achieve
a fixed position. If this is the first time using or if the device has not been used for
an extended period of time, the initialization may take longer. If powering the unit
outdoors with a clear sky, this process should take 3-5 minutes. If you’re trying to
use this meter indoors, it may not acquire a satellite.
The satellite icon will continue to blink until a position is fixed. Satellite acquisition
time depends on weather conditions and user’s location. After a position is fixed, the
icon of the satellite and UTC time will
