Installation Guide

Step by step installation guide
(Revision 1.0A)
1.) Unscrew the 8x screws (4
top, 4 bottom) to remove the
rubber feet.
2.) Using a 5/32 allen wrench
and a 5/16 socket wrench,
remove the 4x cover screws.
3.) Remove the top and
bottom covers.
4.) Unscrew the 6x screws to
remove the PCB bracket.
5.) Prepare the following
materials for mounting the
standoffs onto the VSX-
6150E-V2.
6.) Insert the standoffs from
the top side of the unit.
7.) Insert a washer and nut
onto the standoff from the
bottom of the unit and
securely tighten.
**Do not over-tighten
8.) To mount the heat sink,
place the heat conductive
pad on top of the CPU.
9.) Align the aluminum heat
sink according to the nylon
pin holes located on the unit
and place on top of the heat
conductive pad.
Press down on the nylon
pins until they lock to secure
the heat sink.
10.) Prepare the following
materials to install the PCB
bracket onto the VSX-
6150E-V2.
**Please note the
differences between the left
and right brackets.
11.) Insert the screws
through the rubber
grommets and install the
bracket onto the unit by
securing the screws to the
standoffs.
**Please note to install the
correct brackets to the
correct side of the unit as
shown.
12.) Side view of installed
bracket.
13.) Place the VSX-6150E-
V2/bracket assembly back
into the chassis and secure
with the 6x screws.
14.) Plug in the cables
accordingly.
15.) Place another heat
conductive pad on top of
the heat sink.
Check to make sure the
rubber gaskets are
correctly in place.
16.) Carefully replace the
top and bottom covers.
17.) Insert the cover
screws and secure in the
order of opposite corners
(diagonally) to ensure
even pressure.
18.) Reinstall the rubber
feet onto the chassis and
securely tighten the
screws.
