2. Installation
The installation location will directly depend on the type of vehicle in which the device will be instal-
led and on the customer’s interest. Some vehicles have appropriate compartments to accommoda-
te devices of this nature. The device must not be screwed directly onto the vehicle body. Preferably
install it on a rubberized surface, thus preventing all the vibration generated inside the vehicle from
being absorbed by the MVD. When using models with an SD card, care must be taken during ins-
tallation. Although the recorder protects the storage unit by an anti-vibration system, we recommend
using an SD card due to the recorders’ operating scenario.

2.3. Vehicle battery care and attention
As already informed, by default the equipment will use the vehicle’s own battery as a power source.
Therefore, some care is needed to avoid its discharge, which could prevent the vehicle from starting
or damage the electrical system.
Battery status before installation of Car DVR
If the vehicle’s battery is very old and has been showing indications of the end of its useful life, such
as constant starting failures or the need for recharging, it is highly recommended that it be replaced
in order to avoid failures in the operation of the vehicle DVR.
2.4. Accessories
»Analog monitor: accessory used to congure the MVD in loco, without the need to use a computer
or network access. The purchase of this accessory is highly recommended due to its ease of
device conguration, backup on pen drive and operating exibility. This accessory is purchased
separately.
3. Access to the MVD
Below is the default user and password information for the rst login as an administrator:
»User: admin
»Password: the password will be congured on the rst access to the equipment.
3.1. Access from the Ethernet port
Access to the MVD is via the Ethernet network port available on each device. Access must be made
from Internet Explorer® 11 or higher. The default IP of the Ethernet interface is 192.168.1.108. An IP
within the same network range must be congured in the network properties of the computer that
